'Community' is on an awesome person guest-casting roll: First Michael K. Williams signs on to play a fresh-out-of-jail biology professor, then John Goodman inks a deal as the new vice dean of the school of air conditioning repair. Now another beloved actor will join them in the faculty lounge.

Martin Starr, king of the critically acclaimed but prematurely canceled TV series (RIP, 'Party Down' and 'Freaks and Geeks'), will guest star as a poli-sci professor and Model UN advisor, TVLine reports.

The gig is currently a one-off, but you never know on 'Community' -- Starr could be back eventually.

According to TVLine, the deal came about after Starr filmed a movie this summer with none other than Alison Brie.
