On the Set: 'Rockville, CA'

The latest show from 'The O.C.,' 'Chuck' and 'Gossip Girl' creator Josh Schwartz won't be showing up on your TV -- it'll be playing right here on the Interwebs. TheWB.com's 'Rockville, CA' (premieres Tues., March 17) revolves entirely around one of the things Schwartz's hit shows are known best for: killer soundtracks. Taking place at fictitious Club Rockville, the web series' cast consists of a bevy of easy-on-the-eyes twenty-somethings, including the club owners, their friends and, of course, the music fans.
AOL TV hit the set at real-life venue the Echoplex in L.A. to chat with the stars and Schwartz's music guru, Alexandra Patsavas. Then, just like that, we were treated to an awesome live performance by the episode's featured band, Travis. It's all in a day's work, folks ... -- By Maggie Furlong

For nearly three seasons, 'Ugly Betty' has stood out as one of TV's most charming comedies. With its original storylines and lovable heroine (played by Emmy winner America Ferrera), the show has managed to achieve laughs as high as its fashion. After this week, 'Betty' will go on hiatus -- but not before AOL TV was able to snag an exclusive on-set visit.
So what's it like to spend a day with the cast? Read through our gallery to find out what to expect when the show returns, how the move to New York has changed filming and why Becki Newton's first Manhattan apartment was so horrific.
On the Set: 'Castle'

Find out what 14 things we learned on the set of ABC's new cop drama. Sure, there are plenty of procedural shows already on TV, but there's a new one that's got us setting our DVRs already. And not just because it stars two of our favorite under-sung actors, Nathan Fillion ('Firefly,' 'Desperate Housewives') and Stana Katic (bit parts in 'The Shield,' 'The Closer,' '24' and so on) ... well, maybe that's a lot of it.
But the concept's got us intrigued as well -- imagine a crime novelist helping the cops solve crimes. Now make that writer an absolute rock star ladies' man and make the lead detective a sassy, smart woman who can give him a run for his money ... and be his new muse. That, in a nutshell, is 'Castle,' ABC's new cop drama with a twist (premieres Mon., March 9, 10PM ET).
AOL TV got the inside scoop on the show, straight from the stars themselves, when we visited the 'Castle' set in Hollywood.
NYTVF: Reality pilots
by Brett Love, posted Sep 15th 2006 10:12AM
Joel had been checking out the New York Television Festival this week, and he sent along 5 pilots from the Reality category for me to take a look at. Apparently that's what you get for being the guy that reviews Dancing with the Stars...Seriously though, I've watched a lot of reality TV, so I was looking forward to this collection. If you would like to play along at home, you can watch all of these pilots at MSN. Be warned though, it will require Windows, Internet Explorer, Media Player 10, and your left pinky toe to view them. That said, on with the show.
