Think of actresses who can convincingly play the Virgin Mary. Got it? OK, who made the cut? Emma Watson? Chloe Moretz? Dakota Fanning? Mary was supposed to be about 14 years old when Jesus was born; otherwise, if she were older, names like Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet may have popped up.

But how about Pamela Anderson? Yep, that Pamela Anderson. Well, it's happening in Canada, and for a Christmas special, no less.

Case in point: the vampiness of Nina Dobrev in her dual roles on 'The Vampire Diaries'; the long-but-not-too-long hair and aloof-but-still-caring nature of Taylor Kitsch's Tim Riggins on 'Friday Night Lights;' the everything of Nathan Fillion on 'Castle.'

Twenty-two years ago today, the act of running in a swimsuit was changed forever.

In 1989, NBC aired the pilot episode of 'Baywatch,' a new series chronicling the dangerous adventures of a group of hard-bodied California lifeguards. Next month marks the tenth anniversary since the end of the series, though it lives on in syndication repeats all over the world.

During the show's 12-year syndication run, 'Baywatch' perfected what will ultimately be its legacy: the number one beach-related television innovation of all time -- slow-mo running. Preferably by hot chicks, but sometimes by that prime archetype of manliness himself, David Hasselhoff.

Although 'Baywatch' had some wonderfully soapy plotlines, let's be honest -- the reason we loved the show was because of the aforementioned hot chicks and slow-mo running, not to mention Hasselhoff's chest hair. Okay, kidding on the third. (Although it was magnificent, wasn't it?)

Rocker Tommy Lee showed up on the new 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!). The former Mötley Crüe band member gained fame for his drumming skills. But he is best remembered for shooting a sex tape with his ex-wife Pamela Anderson. In the course of that particular tape, it was revealed to the world that Tommy has a fairly large ... male reproductive organ.

Strangely enough, the topic of Tommy's "thing" was foremost in Chelsea Handler's mind during their interview. Yes, Chelsea wanted to talk about Mr. Lee's "baby-maker."

First, she asked about Tommy's upcoming role on an episode of 'Californication.' " ... Are we going to see your penis on that episode?" she asked. Wow. Well, at least she's direct.

David Hasselhoff was the prime target on 'The Comedy Central Roast' (Sun., 10PM ET on COM), and the jokes were flying for "a man who is a colossal hit in Germany -- a country known for making rational decisions," said Seth MacFarlane.

Pamela Anderson said, "I remember how nervous I was on my first day of 'Baywatch' -- because I can't swim. But David was so sweet -- he pulled me aside and said, 'Don't worry, I can't act.'"

But Hasselhoff took it all in stride, telling MacFarlane, "I've heard rumors that you like to drink -- sometimes maybe a little too much. Now be careful, Seth, you don't want to end up like me -- tall, handsome, rich and famous all over the world."

The Hoff also had some zingers (in this clip) for Anderson, Jerry Springer and Gilbert Gottfried.

Though she apparently forgot the conversation, Pamela Anderson previously told Jimmy Kimmel that there was sexual tension between her and 'Dancing with the Stars' partner Damien Whitewood.

But during that visit to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC), Anderson vowed she wouldn't sleep with him, in order to use the curbed passion "to fuel the dance."

Another week, another eliminated contestant on 'Dancing With the Stars' (Tue., 8PM ET on ABC). Tonight, it all came down to a choice between Pamela Anderson and Erin Andrews. Only one of them could make the cut, and it was a tough decision for the judges.

(S10E13) Last night's 'Dancing with the Stars' provided several of the celebrities' personal best scores including the first 30 of the season. The group dances forced the scores closer to each other.

The results begin and I'm taken aback to Brooke Burke looking like a poor man's Carmen Electra tonight. We start off immediately with Nicole & Derek and Erin & Maks. While Nicole & Derek are safe, Erin & Maks are in the dreaded bottom two.

Len's recap basically hyped how much he thought the episode went. It was because after Jake's elimination the dead weight is gone. It turns out that Nicole's dress was stuck when she did her low spin and landed on her bum thus causing the giggle moment I complained about last night.

(S10E12) It's the dreaded team challenge on 'Dancing with the Stars' and for once, both teams are dancing the same style: the cha-cha. I never understood why the team dances were totally different styles anyway. The images of Susan Lucci trying her best to cha-cha back in Season 7 flashed as Pamela started to struggle to remember her choreography, but both teams coped well with the producers whims.

Tonight judge Carrie Ann Inaba considered Nicole to be the best celebrity dancer she's ever seen. Clearly she's been drinking the tainted water. I haven't seen a female contestant get close to the great dancing skills of Kristi Yamaguchi. Nicole continues to still be hard in dances that need a gentle nature though she made strides this week with her waltz.

(S10E11) We're at the halfway point on 'Dancing with the Stars' and I still can't tell much of a difference between Brooke's execution with Samantha Harris'. Her clothing choices are still questionable and only once in this episode did she have any genuine emotion. The show quickly announced that Erin & Maks are safe. Later on in the episode, when several safe couples got interviewed by Brooke, I realized that Erin should take Brooke's job; her sarcasm and quick wit could match Tom's.

Encore - Chad & Cheryl's Argentine Tango - I'm still convinced that Chad stands too long for several bars in the dance while Cheryl does more of the work, but that is the standard in couple dancing. The dance is smoldering and with Chad not flirting with Cheryl as much, it wasn't bad.

(S10E10) With Kate Gosselin gone from 'Dancing with the Stars,' the show can finally get to actual competition. Her disappearance from the bottom of the score board has now vanquished scores below 20. The contestants have two dances: either the Samba or Argentine Tango and the Swing Dance Marathon.

It's the end of the road for Kate Gosselin. She's had a tough time on this season of 'Dancing With the Stars' (Tues., 8PM ET on ABC). But now, it's all over for the controversial celebrity.

(S10E09) There was a really uneven results episode of 'Dancing with the Stars' this week. While the first half of the show was filled with performances and musical guests, the second half dragged on forever.

(S10E08) An interesting little marquee decorates the 'Dancing with the Stars' stage representing movie night. While most of the cast get interesting movies that could channel actual dances moves ('Pulp Fiction,' 'The Breakfast Club,' 'Risky Business'), Chad Ochocinco was given the Disney favorite 'The Jungle Book.' After all these weeks of sexual tension with Cheryl, they couldn't give him 'Shaft' or connect with his football roots with 'Remember the Titans' as their song?

(S10E07) The eliminations this week on 'Dancing with the Stars' wasn't surprising at all. Right off the bat, Chad & Cheryl are safe. Chad immediately hugs Jake, of all people, then tries his best to hug Cheryl. Jake & Chelsie are also announced safe. Erin explains that her foot got caught, while Len commented that he wanted to see more of Aiden and less of Edyta. Edyta always had the issue of compensating for her partners with the combination of overly sexy motions and a lack of clothes.

Between the clips, there were these cheesy trailers for fake movies with the contestants in them. The only good one had to be Tony as "Glambo" running around, even making Maks turn in confusion.

Encore - Pam & Damian's Rumba - That sheet didn't really help do justice to Pam's movements; she had some strong hip action. I'm still weary about Damian's choreography, but it continues to get Pam through week after week. The two get touchy at the end, but it makes me worry if Damien is in a relationship or not.
