'Toddlers & Tiaras' Mom Doesn't Understand 'Pretty Woman' Costume Controversy (VIDEO)

'Toddlers & Tiaras' (Wed., 10PM ET on TLC) has been straddling the line of uncomfortable television since its debut in 2009. But it wasn't until this week's episode that it drew the attention of the Parents Television Council. It wasn't the padded breasts and butt in a Dolly Parton outfit worn by a 4-year old in last week's installment that got them worked up. It was little Paisley in a costume inspired by the movie 'Pretty Woman.'
More specifically, it was the costume Julia Roberts' character wore when working as a prostitute. Paisley's mother insisted that her daughter also wore a more demure dress from the movie, but that it had been edited out of the show.
Monk gets a new psychiatrist

With the untimely death of actor Stanley Kamel, USA Network and the producers of Monk were compelled to find another actor to play a psychiatrist for the OCD detective. TV Guide has gotten the exclusive word that Hector Elizondo has been cast as Monk's new shrink. The veteran actor -- you'll recognize him from every Garry Marshall movie from Pretty Woman to The Princess Diaries -- was most recently on Cane. As Michael Ausiello points out, if Hector's doing Monk, chances are that CBS has officially canned Cane, even if they haven't announced it yet. %Gallery-21825%This is how I know Saturdays on TV suck

I've bitched before
about how the networks seem to have given up on Saturdays. But tonight ... tonight's a little ridiculous. I'm watching
ABC right now, and guess what it's playing? Pretty Woman! That's right ... a sixteen year-old movie, that
Of course, I'm watching the stupid thing (nothing else on ... maybe the NBA playoffs, but ... eh). Here's what I'm learning from this experience:
1. Julia Roberts is the least convincing hooker I've ever seen.
2. Early '90s double-breasted suits look kinda silly now.
3. Richard Gere never did anything for me as an actor.
4. Jason Alexander was actually thin once ... once.
5. This is the movie that inflicted "The King of Wishful Thinking" upon us.
6. This movie isn't nearly as funny as I thought it was in 1990.
7. I really, really need to get a girlfriend.
