'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: Stevie Nicks Feared Piers Morgan Would 'X' Her
by Michael Maloney, posted Jul 28th 2011 7:00AM
It's not just the amateur and semi-pro acts that appear on 'America's Got Talent' that fear they'll receive a dreaded, ear-piercing strike from trigger-happy judge Piers Morgan.Musical guest Stevie Nicks confided to AOL TV that she, too, thought Morgan might give her a red X when she was performing on last night's results show.
Nicks was there to promote her upcoming tour (last year's 'AGT' winner Michael Grimm will open for her) and she sang two songs including one from her latest album 'In Your Dreams.'
Morgan not only didn't not buzz Nicks, he even gave her a standing ovation.
Professor Splash Jumps Into 12 Inches of Water From Three Stories Up on 'AGT' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 27th 2011 1:51AM
This season on 'America's Got Talent' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC), we've seen a lot more of the novelty acts making it through. That's because we've been treated to some of the most bizarre and impressive stunts in this category, like the lunatic who calls himself Professor Splash. We use the word "lunatic" affectionately, because we know we'd have to be crazy to jump off a three-story building into a kiddie pool of water. But Professor Splash did it like it's no big thing, leaving the judges speechless and stunned.
"To watch a man bellyflop into 12" of water from that height," Piers Morgan said was "absolutely sensational."
