Project Runway Season 9
The Judges Declare the Winner of 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 28th 2011 12:45AM
It was down to four designers for the finale of 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM ET on Lifetime), and they had to impress four actual professionals on the dais, as costume designer L'Wren Scott joined the usual trio. This meant four expert opinions -- as opposed to three plus a token celebrity.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
Once again, it looks like Anya is living by the motto: Why do now what you can put off until the last possible minute? And yet, she always manages to have something to show, and her looks usually go over well with the judges.
Adam Lambert is the Guest Judge on 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)

The designers faced a team challenge this week on 'Project Runway' (Thurs., 9PM ET on LIFE) and the theme was rock and roll music. Each team had to design a look for an emerging band to wear on the cover of 'Rolling Stone.' The guest judge this week was 'American Idol' alum Adam Lambert, who knows his rock and his fashion, and who didn't pull any punches.
He slammed Anya's Hiawatha-esque creation: "This tunic is like an eight-grade production of 'Hair the Musical.' It just doesn't feel like fashion."
However, he did like the fit of Joshua's pants and the "sexy" zipper -- "It's like rock and roll. Totally."
Judges Like Color, But Nothing Else About 'Out' Style on 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)

If you're a fashion designer, we suspect you wouldn't be too happy to hear a critique that says, "We like the pink color of your dress, but that's all." Nevertheless, that's what the eliminated designer heard this week on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM ET on Lifetime). The remaining contestants were tasked with designing for real women this week, though they were briefly psyched-out when they first saw the male counterparts for their real woman. They thought they were going to have to design for a man.
Joshua Targets Bert With His Drama on 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 9th 2011 1:40AM
Bert was the last one picked for a team on this week's 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM ET on Lifetime), but it wasn't Bert who created the most drama and shut down progress on a fairly regular basis. That said, he was involved, as Joshua had chosen the older contestant as the latest target of his pointless tirade.Joshua's point of contention with Bert this week? "I feel people who have dirty mouths," Joshua said, "they're not intelligent." In frustration with the printer, Bert said, "So much for my f****** clocks." Ergo, Bert's an idiot.
Joshua even lashed out at Tim Gunn, and nobody yells at Tim Gunn. He's just far too polished for that.
Olivier Wants to Glue His Dress to the Model on 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 2nd 2011 2:30AM
We're certainly not designers, but even we could have guessed that gluing a dress to your model is never a good idea. Olivier was running out of time and was concerned the top of his dress would fall down, so he came up with this brilliant idea on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM ET on Lifetime).!!SPOILER ALERT!!
Luckily, Tim Gunn caught wind of it before he had completely slathered the model's chest with glue. He showed up to advise Olivier that this is clearly against the rules. The clothing must stay up of its own accord, which you would think is kind of obvious.
Bird Seed and Hamster Bedding Are the Stuff of Fashion on 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 5th 2011 3:29AM
Unconventional was the word of the week on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM ET on Lifetime). While it wasn't perhaps as startling as dumpster-diving for materials, it's certainly stepping way outside of the box to shop on a budget at a pet supplies store.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
As expected, we got varying degrees of styles, though our personal favorite was Anthony Ryan's bird seed mini-dress. The design work with the seeds not only made it look absolutely delicious to our avian friends, but elegant as well.
Nina Garcia, on the other hand, was all about Olivier Green's creation, which utilized the cushion part of a dog bed for a bodice and then pine wood hamster and rabbit bedding for the skirt. Those crazy eyebrows were just to keep you a little unsettled as you looked at the model.
'Project Runway' Cuts Five Designers in the Season 9 Premiere (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 29th 2011 3:24AM
'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM ET on Lifetime) wasted no time in its ninth season premiere. With 20 contestants vying for the win this season, they were tasked with bringing their best work for the judges to determine if they were even allowed to continue on in the competition.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
Four contestants were brutally sent packing right away, but Anya, who only learned to sew four months ago, was not one of them. She was still around in the Top 16 when they got a 5AM wake-up call for their first challenge.
Heidi Klum Goes Naked to Promote 'Project Runway'
by Catherine Lawson, posted Jun 3rd 2011 8:00AM
Heidi Klum is passionate about fashion. And she's passionate about finding the next great fashion designer. So passionate, in fact, that she's willing to be photographed nude to promote the upcoming Season 9 of her fashion reality series 'Project Runway.'According to 'The Hollywood Reporter' Klum chose to strip off during a recent photo shoot for Lifetime's new promotional campaign. However, as she has yet to sign off on a final image from the shoot, it's unclear when (if?) pictures will be released.
Klum's desicion to bare all for her show was announced by Lifetime's President and General Manager Nancy Dubuc, who said that it's part of the network's move to embrace the contemporary woman.
In a break with with some past programming and attitudes, Lifetime is now seeking to promote female characters who are brazen, strong, confident and sexy.
