'After Lately' Behind the Scenes: Jen Aniston's T-Shirt and Stalking Reese Witherspoon

by Heather McDonald, posted Nov 22nd 2011 2:15PM
Heather McDonaldAs part of our new guest blog series, E! star Heather McDonald has written an essay for AOL TV about her many hilarious celebrity encounters on 'After Lately.' Stay tuned for more posts from the 'After Lately' cast of comedians.

When Jen Aniston entered the set of 'After Lately' (premieres Sun., Nov. 27 at 11PM ET on E!) to shoot her scenes, the first thing that I noticed was her T-shirt. It was the classic Jen Aniston T-shirt she is famous for (with the heart-shaped neckline and cap sleeves), and that is exactly what came out of my mouth: "Jen, you're wearing the Jen Aniston T-shirt you're famous for." And she responded with, "What, that's weird." It was weird (and weird for me to say out loud), but look up paparazzi photos of Jen running errands throughout the last 15 years and she's consistently wearing that style of T-shirt, with her perfect, cute real boobs in a non-padded bra. In fact, that night I told my husband about her cute boobs, and my 5-year-old son looked up from his iPad and asked, "Boobs can be cute?" "When they're Jennifer Aniston's they can be," I answered.

'MTV Movie Awards': Robert Pattinson Drops F-Bomb Honoring Reese Witherspoon (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 6th 2011 2:30AM
Robert Pattinson, '2011 MTV Movie Awards'The censors were kept pretty busy during the '2011 MTV Movie Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on MTV), but apparently Robert Pattinson was too fast for them. In presenting the MTV Generation Award to Reese Witherspoon, Pattinson revealed that his teleprompter said for him to ad-lib, so he awkwardly worked from hand-written notes.

Then, he tried to tell a joke relating to the fact that he played Reese Witherspoon's child in a movie seven years ago, and has now gone on to share a love scene with her. "I did f*** you," he said, and the censor was asleep at the wheel, letting the f-bomb fly across the airwaves.

Robert Pattinson Tells Graham Norton About Working With an Unpredictable Elephant (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 16th 2011 12:41AM
Robert Pattinson, 'The Graham Norton Show'Animals can be notoriously difficult to work with. According to Robert Pattinson on 'The Graham Norton Show' (Sat., 10PM ET on BBC America), he especially found it challenging to film one scene with an elephant for his new movie. In the animal's defense, it was a rather specific and awkward scene.

"She was just supposed to be sniffing my crotch," Pattinson explained, but as we saw her trunk was more all over the place, and wound up resting on his chest.

He had to improvise the scene a bit, or try to force what was in the book. The problem? "It's incredibly awkward if you're trying to do the scene and you're like holding her trunk down there." In the end, it was a bizarre scene with the elephant's trunk going "all over the place."

Reese Witherspoon Did Her Own Elephant-Related Stunts for New Film (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Apr 18th 2011 1:45PM
Reese Witherspoon on 'Good Morning America'Natalie Portman may have learned ballet for 'Black Swan,' but she never had to deal with an actual swan (they can be nasty creatures). Reese Witherspoon, on the other hand, told 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM on ABC) today that she worked with elephants for three months, even going to circus college, to prepare for her new film 'Water for Elephants.' She did her own stunts and brought the footage to prove it.

Elephants were fine, she said, horses not so much. "I didn't do a lot of the horse stuff because it made me a little nervous," said Witherspoon. "But the elephant stuff, the director really encouraged me and he really wanted me to do it. And against my better instincts, I ended up doing it and it was an incredible experience."

Witherspoon's next film, 'This Means War,' is about the CIA. So, if you hear a mysterious voice on your phone line before you think someone else has picked up (and it reminds you of 'Legally Blonde'), that might just be Witherspoon method acting again.

Reese Witherspoon Rips into Chelsea Handler's Staff on 'After Lately' (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 21st 2011 9:20AM
Reese Witherspoon Gets Angry on 'After Lately'In the mockumentary 'After Lately' (Sun., 11PM ET on E!) -- which pretends to chronicle life behind the scenes of 'Chelsea Lately' -- the staffers are nearing revolt. Reese Witherspoon has been hanging around the office, and apparently her kindness is driving them crazy.

"We want her gone," demands one. Chelsea Handler is shocked: "She makes me happy. I am relaxed. And she's nice: something none of us have ever been to each other in the last two years."

In Handler's absence, Witherspoon drops her friendly facade. "I heard everything you said about me," she tells the staff. "You guys are a bunch of narcissistic jerks. It's like Chelsea's running an animal shelter around here. Except she's not rescuing cats and dogs -- she's rescuing failures."

Reese Witherspoon Loves Animals, But She Refuses to Milk Goats (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 22nd 2010 6:00AM
Reese Witherspoon Loves Animals, But She Refuses to Milk GoatsReese Witherspoon is a Hollywood star, but she remains a Southern girl at heart -- the actress grew up in Tennessee. In honor of her roots, she has a farm in California, where she spends time with her two kids.

On 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!), Reese started off talking about her farm animals, but then, things got weird ... The actress told Chelsea Handler that she owns chickens, donkeys, pigs -- and also two goats, who are named 'George and Martha Washington,' because Reese's daughter was studying American history at the time.

Unfortunately, Chelsea is from New Jersey, and therefore is not a country girl. So Ms. Handler then asked a bizarre question. "Do you ever milk these animals?" she said. " ... Milk them?" Reese replied, before cracking up.

by Donald Deane, posted Dec 16th 2010 12:45PM
Nothing says Christmas down on the farm like livestock! Two years ago, all Reese Witherspoon wanted for Christmas was a chicken coop. This year, she's apparently received her gift early -- a pair of miniature donkeys, she said on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated).

Paul Rudd Got Busted by Barack Obama (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 15th 2010 5:15AM
Paul Rudd Got Busted by Barack Obama Actor Paul Rudd was shooting his latest film in Washington, D.C. While he was there, he ran into our nation's president -- and things went downhill after that. Paul was shooting 'How Do You Know' -- a movie where he plays a corporate executive. He and co-star Reese Witherspoon then went to the White House, where they met President Barack Obama.

So, what was that like? On 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), Paul gave us the straight dope. While talking with David Letterman, the actor discussed a tale of ritual humiliation that took place within the Oval Office.

As soon as he met President Obama, Paul broke out into a "flop sweat." Then, the president asked what his role was in the movie. "I'm playing this guy," Paul said. "He's getting indicted, his whole world is falling apart." " ... Oh, so you're playing a Congressman," Obama said.

Five Possible Jeannies for the Big Screen 'I Dream of Jeannie'

by Allison Waldman, posted Apr 21st 2010 1:03PM
Another week, another story from Hollywood about a beloved TV show being turned into a feature film. Last week it was 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.' and this week it's ... 'I Dream of Jeannie.' Yes, yes, they've talked about this one before. But that was then and this is now and the Los Angeles Times reports that 'I Dream of Jeannie' is back on with Sheila Callaghan, one of the scribes on 'United States of Tara,' has been handed the assignment. That means whatever the writers from 'National Treasure' and 'Mulan' and 'Bend It Like Beckham' who've taken a swing at it in the past few years weren't able to make it work.

There is an essential problem with 'Jeannie,' as anyone who knows the shows realizes. How do you make the story of a love-crazed, subservient slave-like genie who lives in a bottle and calls her astronaut boyfriend master relevant. That's a tough nut to crack, but maybe casting the role of Jeannie would be a start.

Seth Rogen is back as B.O.B. for Monsters vs Aliens Halloween special

by Nick Zaino, posted Oct 28th 2009 2:11PM
Seth Rogen from Monsters vs Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer SpaceSeth Rogen has always enjoyed Halloween specials, from the TGIF line-up when he was a kid up to The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror. Tonight, he'll be in his own Halloween special, Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space (NBC, 8 PM), based on the Dreamworks animated feature Monsters vs Aliens.

"I was a nerd and had nothing to do on Friday nights," Rogen says of the TGIF line-up during a conference call with press. "Whenever like the sitcoms would do their Halloween episode, I always enjoyed that for some reason. That always spawned some good comedy."

Wait a second, Katherine Heigl makes HOW much money?

by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 8th 2008 7:00PM
There are three things I know about Katherine Heigl.

1. She stars in ABC's Grey's Anatomy.

2. She's not afraid to speak up if she thinks the show's writers have screwed up.

3. She'll never let you hear the end of it if you pronounce her name wrong, and she'll hunt you down like a dog.

Now there's a fourth thing I know about Heigl: she's the fifth highest paid actress in Hollywood.

Miley Cyrus(S07E29) Well, this is what you've all been waiting for, right? What's that? Finale? Yeah, I guess that'll be cool, too. But if you've listened to Ryan all season then you know TONIGHT is really what it's all about! My visit to Idol Gives Back

by Kristin Sample, posted Apr 7th 2008 6:00AM
Miley CyrusLast night I went to a taping of the second installment of Idol Gives Back at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. This year the charities that benefited were Malaria No More, Children's Defense Fund, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, Children's Health Fund, and Save the Children.

Keep in mind, there will be spoilers. It's not like I found out the secret to Lost, but I figured I would still give fair warning. The show will air on Wednesday April 9th at 7:30 pm ET / PT. For what happened at the taping and in the press room, read on after the jump. And check back for Jason's review Wednesday night.
