Shepherd will play one of Stanton Infeld's (Malcolm McDowell) many ex-wives, Evanthia Steele, who is on trial for kidnapping a neglected dog. Series stars Mark Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer will be her defense team.
The show will also welcome 'Ugly Betty''s Eric Mabius and Rick Rox. Mabius will play Rossi, a handsome prosecutor trying to take down dog-napper Steele and one-half of Jango & Rossi, the B-list version of dynamic duo Franklin & Bash. Fox will play Andre, a professional tennis player called in to testify in the dog-napping case.

['The Big Bang Theory' - 'The Love Car Displacement']
O-kaaaay then. There are episodes of sitcoms, and then there are episodes of sitcoms. And then there was this latest episode of 'The Big Bang Theory.'
Just to make it clear before we delve a little bit, I like 'The Big Bang Theory,' I really do. But this episode seemed ... odd. And much like the episode before it, it seemed to hang upon the thinnest of plot threads.
Here was the set-up for the episode: All the characters have to go to a science convention, including Penny, who didn't really want to go, but who had to be dragged along. Because by going to the the convention, she'd also get to go to a spa. Because otherwise, if Penny wasn't in it, it wouldn't really be a normal episode of the show, y'know?
We'll find out tonight at 8PM ET on CBS, when the gang goes to a conference and Bernadette runs into Fox, playing a professor named Glenn who's there to do a lecute on global warming. Exepect a lot of jokes about height, clothes, relative handsomeness, and a whole lot of ribbing that's not going to reflect well on Howard at all.
I spoke to Fox yesterday about the part, about whether he feels he's becoming more known for his acting than his playing career, sharing a 'Dancing With The Stars' stage with Bristol Palin, and how he feels about his ex-wife, Vanessa Williams, playing the wife of an ex-athlete on 'Desperate Housewives.'
For the second week in a row (third if you thought Florence Henderson was robbed, which -- let's face it, she was), there's been another shocking elimination on 'Dancing With the Stars.'
Former pro basketball star Rick Fox and partner Cheryl Burke were sent home despite having higher scores (61) than other "in jeopardy" duos actor Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer (59) and teen activist Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas (57.)
"This is the most shocking elimination I've had in 10 seasons," Burke said after the show. "It shows you that nobody's safe and you have to vote. Rick did the best he could. It was our best night. Better to go out on top."
After Jimmy Kimmel chided him for crying on national television, the host noted, "You said that this is harder than Game 7 of an NBA final? ... First of all, I don't think you've been in a Game 7, right?"
Right. Technically, Fox has only gotten as far as the Western Conference finals. But "I prepared for that," he explained. Concerning 'Dancing,' "I had no previous dance experience ... You don't know how to dance, and you have to learn it really quickly and perform it in front of America four days later."
Kimmel then chatted with Burke about dancing with the "freakishly tall" (6-foot-7) Fox.
To celebrate the show's hitting the 200th episode milestone, several awards were handed out, including Most Dramatic Moment (to fainting Marie Osmond), and Best Worst Dancer (Kenny Mayne, who beat out other "two left feet" nominees Master P, Kate Gosselin Steve Wozniak, and Billy Ray Cyrus).
Which well-liked star is hanging up their dancing shoes? We'll tell you, after the cut.
Now, the actress is ready for a different challenge: making people laugh their butts off.
Dushku called TV Squad to dish about her future plans, which include getting back into comedy (first stop on the laugh tour: 'The Big Bang Theory'), and which 'Dancing With the Stars' celebs are the biggest competition for boyfriend Rick Fox.
Plus, we spoke about her satisfaction with the end of 'Dollhouse' (season 2 now on DVD and Blu-ray) and whether she'll ever work with creator Joss Whedon again.
On 'The Tonight Show' (11:35PM ET on NBC), Fox explained everything. He also tried on a new fake mustache, one he claimed was made from his chest hair. But before we get to the fake one, what was the deal with the 'DWTS' one?
A few couples revealed what song they'll be dancing to on the post-show press line, but it's up in the air if the most natural choice, Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas twirling to the theme song from 'The Brady Bunch,' is going to happen. First, the duo has to survive tonight's elimination show. Second, the song needs to go through certain legal clearances so it can be used on the show.
Henderson told TV Squad, "We're hoping [we dance to 'The Brady Bunch' theme]. I can't imagine that they would not [clear it.]" Of course, as her partner, Ballas, pointed out, "But first, we have to get saved."
The first night jitters are officially out of the way. Twelve stars and their celebrity pro partners took to the dance floor and performed either a Cha-Cha or a Viennese Waltz on the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 11 opening night show. Actress Jennifer Grey, singer Brandy Norwood and athletes Rick Fox and Kurt Warner performed well -- as expected -- but the surprise of the night was teen actor Kyle Massey, who brought to mind a young Warren Sapp (Kym Johnson's season 7 partner) when he performed a dynamite dance with Lacey Schwimmer.
TV Squad was on the post-show press line to get reactions from all 24 participants. For one unlucky couple, alas, it's their second-to-last interview, because tonight one duo is going home.
The newest cast of 'Dancing With The Stars' got their feet wet last night after the line-up was unveiled by hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke.
Ten out of the show's dozen stars did their first round of publicity to tout their participation in the top-rated dance-competition series. (Singer Michael Bolton and reality TV star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino were unable to attend.) AOL's TV Squad was on the scene to get the celebs' reactions.
"My agent called me and asked me if I'd be interested in doing the show," said reailty TV star Audrina Partridge of 'The Hills.' "And I said, 'Yes!' I'm really excited to meet Jennifer Grey. I'm a big 'Dirty Dancing' fan."
Fox will appear briefly as an Active in the Jan. 8 episode where he will be granted back his original personality and emerge from the sci-fi show's famous imprint chair. And, as a bit of a spoiler, we can also reveal that he and other Dolls are then released back out into the world.

Well that episode was out there. It brought back some old faces, introduced a few new ones, and split off into two wildly different tangents. On one side we saw a new side of Lucy as she aimed to bring down a past Dirt Now target while at the same time we saw Don placed in a situation that would have bee much more amusing had he stopped taking his medication.
