Jon Stewart Makes Fun of Rick Santorum's Gay Marriage Analogies (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 18th 2011 6:16AM
Rick Santorum has been on the campaign trail talking about gay marriage, and referencing the Defense of Marriage Act signed into law by President Clinton in 1996. On 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11:00PM ET on Comedy Central), Jon Stewart examined some of his analogies."I can call this napkin a paper towel, but it is a napkin," Santorum said in one speech. "Why? Because it is what it is."
Thirty minutes later, Stephen Colbert would be horrified to find out that napkins are apparently gay, but Stewart saw it as a slippery slope where we'd soon be using dogs to wipe our faces.
Kiera Knightley Googles Rick Santorum: 'My Innocence Has Been Taken Away' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted May 10th 2011 3:50AM
At the recent debate featuring presidential candidates from the Republican side, none of the big names like Sarah Palin and Donald Trump showed up. Instead, it was candidates you might have to Google to get an idea of who they are, according to Jon Stewart on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central)."Although, I guess the last guy would prefer you didn't do that," Stewart said, referring to former Senator Rick Santorum. Santorum came under fire when he pushed for government regulation against consensual sexual acts between homosexuals.
That led to a contest to create a definition for the word "santorum" that would horrify Santorum. The NSFW winning definition -- which you can find by clicking the term above if you really want to know -- is indeed a little disturbing, and Kiera Knightley agreed.

"The suspension is effective for 60 days," Baier added. "Then on May 1 their contracts will be terminated unless they notify Fox that they are not running for president."
Rick Santorum weighing a future with Fox
by Julia Ward, posted Dec 12th 2006 12:28PM
You just suffered the largest defeat by a Senate incumbent in a quarter of a century. What are you going to do now? Disneyland? Heck no. You're gonna do television. U.S. Senator Rick Santorum is in negotiations with Fox News Channel to appear as one of the network's political analysts or, as an undisclosed source told Patriot News, to be a "screamer." Defeated by Democrat Bob Casey Jr. in last month's election, Santorum has been weighing his post-Congressional career. He'll be making the rounds on the conservative lecture circuit, and deals with CNN, MSNBC and Fox have all been mentioned. Fox, not unexpectedly, is leading the rumor pack. The Pennsylvania Republican is an extremely divisive and vocal figure - having made public statements comparing homosexuality to bestiality and pedophilia and suggesting that Hurricane Katrina victims be penalized for trying to ride out the storm rather than vacating New Orleans earlier. On the less easily reviled side, the last bill he authored dedicates $945 million to autism research.
