Johnny Galecki Discusses 'Roseanne,' 'Big Bang' and 'Entourage' on 'Good Day LA' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 18th 2011 2:25PM
Johnny Galecki talks about 'Roseanne,' 'Big Bang Theory,' and 'Entourage' on 'Good Day LA'Johnny Galecki has fond memories of 'Roseanne,' that predate his role on the show. He reminisced on 'Good Day LA' (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox) about watching the first episode with his family, and also talked about what he's been doing in the offseason before filming begins again for 'The Big Bang Theory.'

Galecki said his 'Roseanne' role started as a one-episode deal when he was 16, but stretched to three episodes and then three years when Roseanne Barr asked him to join the cast permanently. He still keeps in touch with Sara Gilbert, and would love to have her back on 'Big Bang' if she could find the time. "She was on 'Big Bang,' I think she did maybe a half a dozen episodes in the last couple of seasons," he said, "and we'd love to have her back but she's busy with 'The Talk' right now."

Roseanne Threatens to Ground Her Adult Daughter on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (VIDEO)

by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 11th 2011 1:25AM
Roseanne's NutsThis week on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime), star Roseanne Barr went out of her way to live up to the title of her show, impulsively buying a truck in order to distribute vegetables to the homeless, much to her family's disapproval.

The idea was nice, in theory, but Barr's daughter, Jenny, was there to be the voice of reason for her headstrong mom.

"I'm just gonna drive it around and give people food," Barr explained, to which her daughter reasonably pointed out, "I think that's illegal."

Roseanne Sings the National Anthem, in Tune, at a Little League Game (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 21st 2011 8:45AM
'Roseanne's Nuts'Anyone who was alive in 1990 remembers when Roseanne Barr sang 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at a Major League Baseball game. The rendition was horrible, she was out of tune, and then she wrapped by spitting and grabbing her crotch.

So it was with some nervousness that we watched her agree to tackle it again on 'Roseanne's Nuts' (Wed., 9PM ET on Lifetime).

What happened, though, turned out to be a genuine suprise. Granted, this was for a Little League softball game, so we knew she would be on her best behavior, but we didn't expect her to be on-key.

Roseanne Would Welcome a 'Roseanne' Reunion (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 20th 2011 5:45PM
Roseanne Barr would love a 'Roseanne' reunionRoseanne Barr was reunited with her former 'Roseanne' co-star Sarah Gilbert Wednesday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). But she'd like to go even further and get everyone from the show back together. Julie Chen brought up the topic, asking Barr if she'd ever consider a reunion, and she replied with an enthusiastic "of course."

Barr said she misses the show's audience, writing jokes, and most of all, the people. "Well, I just miss all the fun we had," said Barr, addressing Gilbert. "The first year was a harsh year, but after that -- and that's all anybody ever talks about, too -- but after that, it was just a blast, all the time, with the crew, the writers, the producers. We just had a blast."

Roseanne Discusses Marriage, 'Roseanne's Nuts' on 'The View' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 14th 2011 7:30PM
Roseanne talks about her relationships on 'The View'If you, like Elisabeth Hasselbeck was on Thursday's 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC), were wondering why Roseanne hasn't married her longtime boyfriend Johnny Argent, look no further than the title of her new reality show, 'Roseanne's Nuts.' Roseanne's relationship with Argent is a big part of the show, as the pair run a macadamia nut farm in Hawaii.

Hasselbeck asked Roaseanne if the couple had talked about marriage, since they've been together for eight years. "It has entered the conversation, but, you know, I'm a three-time loser. I've been married and divorced three times, that's enough." She says Argent is "a fantastic man" and that the relationship works well without marriage. "Here it's been eight years and I don't hate the guy," she said. "I'm shocked. Then the other thing is, I actually care what he thinks. It's new for me."

Roseanne also shared some bonus advice she's given her kids: To never to have kids of their own, because, "They'll just screw up your life." She does love her grandkids, though. Which means her kids didn't exactly take her advice to heart.

Top 10 Thriftiest TV Families

by Kim Potts, posted Apr 3rd 2011 12:01AM
Sure, TV land has always been filled with characters who live in impossibly large New York City apartments ('Friends' gang, we're looking at you!). But there are also TV types who represent their more modest salaries in a realistic way.

For example, no one could turn a lump of cheap meat into a hearty meal for a family of five like Roseanne Conner, and few look cuter clipping coupons than 'The Middle''s Frankie Heck. And, with our shaky economy these days, it was only a matter of time before reality TV caught up -- enter TLC's 'Extreme Couponing' (premieres Wed., April 6, 9PM ET).

In honor penny-pinching pioneers and frugal mamas everywhere, we proudly count down our 10 favorite thrifty primetime families.

Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki on 'The Talk'Former 'Roseanne' co-stars Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki were reunited today on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), and Gilbert's co-hosts pumped him for gossip. Specifically, Sharon Osbourne wanted to know if Galecki ever had a crush on Gilbert and if he ever dated her.

Galecki admitted to having a crush, but turned to Gilbert to see whether she would technically call what they did "dating." "Sara's a very good kisser," he said. "I was more nervous about our kiss on 'Big Bang Theory' than I was on 'Roseanne' or even, previous to that, in personal life because you're the only person who can gauge if I'm improved as a kisser over the last 20 years."

Charlie Sheen, Two and a Half MenCharlie Sheen apparently isn't done making headlines today.

According to TMZ, 'Two and a Half Men' has just chopped four episodes from its production schedule. Following Sheen's Feb. 28 return, the show was scheduled to film eight more episodes to complete its eighth season.

Crew members are outraged, TMZ reports, with one worker telling the site, "We've been left in the dark and now we have no pay for four episodes and all we hear is that Chuck is saying, 'They're not my problem.'"

To his credit, sources told TMZ that Sheen said he would work beyond the scheduled wrap date, plus weekends, to make sure all eight episodes are filmed.

'Roseanne' Cast: Where Are They Now?

by Kelly Woo, posted Feb 14th 2011 5:30PM
Roseanne Oprah Roseanne Barr returned to 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' last week for the first time in 12 years and resolved her "feud" with Oprah (or, more like discovered there was no feud).

Barr believed Winfrey was "pissed" at her for various crimes, including: their difference in opinion during the 2008 presidential campaign; cheating during an arm-wrestling match on Barr's talk show; and Barr's tendency to "piss everybody off sooner or later." Winfrey was clueless about these offenses, and the two buried the non-existent hatchet.

Winfrey also created a virtual 'Roseanne' cast reunion, interviewing John Goodman by satellite from New York and featuring segments from the rest of the Conner family.

'Roseanne,' which ran for nine seasons from 1988 to 1997, was a sarcastic but genuine look at a working-class family. The show was an instant hit and an awards magnet, but its popularity never led it to water down its stark portrayal of the Conners' money troubles or avoid taboo subjects such as teen sex, birth control, alcoholism, abortion and domestic violence.

Tom Arnold on Having Kids, Arnold Schwarzenegger and How Roseanne Saved His Life

by Joel Keller, posted Dec 29th 2010 3:00PM
Tom Arnold in his new Showtime specialTom Arnold seems to be one of those guys who's been hanging around the edges of the entertainment business forever. It's been over 20 years since he made his first big splash on 'Roseanne,' a time period where his marriage to superstar Roseanne Barr got even more publicity than the hit sitcom did.

Now, at 51 and married for the fourth time -- he's confident that this one will stick -- Arnold has decided to go back to his stand-up roots to tell some of the crazy stories from his life.

'Tom Arnold: That's My Story And I'm Sticking To It' is his first-ever stand-up special, debuting on New Year's Eve at 9PM ET on Showtime. In the special, Arnold talks about what he euphemistically calls his "first marriage" along with tidbits about being friends with the governor of California -- let's just say that he and Arnold Schwarzenegger found out that having guy talk on government-owned phones is a bad idea -- and things he's learned from his previous wives.

In a wide-ranging interview from earlier this month, Arnold and I talked about the special, his marriage to Roseanne, what it was like to go back to the stand-up world, if he thought Schwarzenegger got a fair shake as governor and what's on his career and life bucket lists.
