Rescue Me: Mickey

We're half-way through season five now and we've reached a point that's going to polarize a lot of fans of this show. Creatively, last night's episode of Rescue Me introduced two things that both have the potential to really turn off certain fans, depending, of course, on what they like about the show and more importantly, what they expect from Rescue Me in future episodes.

Lost: Whatever Happened, Happened

(S05E11) "Maybe there's something they can do." - Juliet

At the risk of sounding clichéd, I'm gonna say it anyway - all the pieces are coming together. While I didn't particularly care for any of tonight's flashbacks (personally, I've never really gotten into Kate at all), what happened on the island in 1977 was mesmerizing. It's looking more and more like the Oceanic 6 (plus Juliet, Miles, etc.) were directly responsible for, well ... everything.

Grey's Anatomy: Wish You Were Here

I thought Grey's Anatomy had gone far enough with the Izzie/Denny mess - until this episode. Why you ask? Because they introduced a doctor who gets around on Heelys!! Do you have any idea how much I hate Heelys? Nine-year-olds come whipping by on those damn things when you're walking around the mall, and as much as you hate to wish bad things upon a 9-year-old, I'm just waiting for the headline "Local Sixth Grader Wearing Heelys Cracks Skull Open in Front of Orange Julius." Oh and that doctor (Dr. Arizona Robbins) that got introduced tonight? She's a pediatric surgeon. Great message to send to the youth of America.

Nip/Tuck: Kyle Ainge

Um... wow. I'm never going to a Build-A-Bear Workshop ever again. I'll come back to that later, but let's touch on the theme of this episode first: cannibalism. There's a topic that Nip/Tuck hasn't tackled before and Ryan Murphy and Co. didn't hold back either. From the teacher who bites her Kindergarten students, to the metaphors of Hollywood agents eating you alive, to the newlywed couple that actually... ate each other, all the bases were covered. Who's hungry?

CSI: Miami - Backstabbers

by Jonathan Toomey, posted Dec 12th 2006 11:46AM

Wolfe, being filmed.(S05E11) This was a follow-up to that absolutely ridiculous episode from a few weeks ago. Remember the one where the guy and his family got kidnapped, it was somehow tied to a terrorist plot, and then it ended with Horatio blowing up a truck with his sniper rifle? That one? Terrible episode. That sort of bugs me now because this one was pretty decent.

It picks up with the trial of the female terrorist who was behind the plot to blow up with nuclear power plot at Turkey Point. Her name is Sonya Barak if you recall and her sleazy lawyer was able to get her off on bail much to the dismay of the father of the family she had a hand in kidnapping. Thus led to a good old fashioned cat and mouse chase and a bunch of corny, and hilarious, one-liners from Horatio.
