Todd Palin Reality ShowSarah Palin is shopping a new reality show that would follow her husband Todd's snowmobile adventures, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

THR reports Palin and 'Sara Palin's Alaska' producer Mark Burnett are pitching the program focusing on her husband and his career as a snowmobile racer. No Season 2 for 'Sarah Palin's Alaska'

by Jean Bentley, posted Jan 10th 2011 12:00PM
Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin's Alaska'Sarah Palin's Alaska' lovers, we have some bad news for you: last night's two-hour season 1 finale is most likely the final episode of the series.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Palin and TLC have no plans to shoot a second season of the reality show, which followed the former Alaska governer-turned-vice presidential nominee and her family enjoying the Alaskan outdoors.

The show averaged about 3.2 million viewers per week, EW reports, but Palin didn't receive the greatest press for what some viewed as an hour-long campaign ad for an inevitable 2012 presidential run. The decision to nix a second season could fuel those rumors even more, since now TLC won't need to consider equal airtime rules if she does run.

Sarah Palin Reminisces About Disastrous Gosselin Family Camping Trip on 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jan 10th 2011 7:00AM
'Sarah Palin's Alaska'Sarah Palin looked back at some of the highlights of the first season of 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' (Sun., 9PM on TLC) in this final episode, which of course meant a second look at Kate Gosselin's memorable visit.

The first TLC reality superstar stopped by in the fifth episode, with her children in tow, for a camping trip. Gosselin, apparently, was wholly unprepared for the elements.

Palin recalled Gosselin saying things like, "Why would you pretend to be homeless?" and "I'm freezing to the bone [and] I have nineteen layers on."

Palin certainly seemed amused at the time, and it doesn't seem to have gotten less entertaining with time.

Willow Crashes Her Car in a Race With Her Dad on 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 27th 2010 3:26AM
'Sarah Palin's Alaska'While exploring the Alaskan logging industry on 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' (Sun., 9PM on TLC), the Palin family decided to pit father against daughter in a timed racing event at a nearby track. Todd Palin raced first, and made great times on two circuits of the track.

Daughter Willow Palin was looking very feminine in a beat-up old pink jalopy, and was doing great herself, until she lost control of the vehicle closing in on the finish line and wound up nose-first in a pile of dirt.

Despite Sarah Palin declaring that "seeing Willow crash makes the Momma Grizzly in me come out," her response upon arriving at the crash was, "That was awesome!"

A fire truck arrived on the scene as well. We understand that it's probably standard procedure for any wreck, but it seemed a bit of overkill as it was one of the gentlest crashes we've ever seen. Maybe they were going to use the fire hose to clean off the dirt from the front bumper of the car.

'Sarah Palin's Alaska' Season Two

Will 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' return for season 2? According to PopEater's Rob Shuter, yes, if TLC has anything to say about it.

A TLC insider told Shuter that "3.066 million people turned in last week to see her episode with Kate Gosselin ... That is more people than are watching Bravo's 'Housewives' series or most other cable shows.

"For sure the network is doing everything it possibly can to convince Sarah to do another season, but at the end of the day, it looks like it will all come down to money.

Sarah Palin Serves Up Some Food at a Local Diner (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin Attacks Michelle Obama's Anti-Obesity Campaign, Then Serves Up Some FoodTonight on 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' (Sun., 9PM ET on TLC), Sarah and Piper served up some dishes at a local diner.

But first, Sarah headed to the great outdoors, accompanied by the extended Palin clan. While standing in the wilderness, Sarah said it was great to escape the media "idiots" who don't like her family. Which was a little odd, considering that she was still surrounded by the media -- that is, by the camera crews who are filming her family for a reality TV show.

Next, Sarah made treats for the kids. "Where are the s'mores ingredients?" she asked. She added that she was making the s'mores in "honor" of Michelle Obama, " ... who said the other day that we should not have dessert." Presumably, this was meant as another attack on Ms. Obama's campaign against childhood obesity.

Sarah Palin and Her Father Hunt and Kill a CaribouOn the new episode of 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' (Sun., 9PM ET on TLC) Sarah and her father -- Charles "Chuck" Heath -- head north to the tundra, traveling above the Arctic Circle. There, joined by her dad's friend Becker, the father and daughter hunt caribou. Sarah herself wears a hunting cap with the words "Girls and Guns" embroidered in pink.

And Sarah Palin is the first person to make a kill. After missing several shots, Sarah takes dead aim through the sight of her rifle, squeezes off a final round, and kills the enormous animal. The caribou suddenly crumples to the ground. "Dere ya go, baby!" Mr. Heath yells to his daughter.

Sarah Palin Gets Emotional While Reflecting on the Future of Her Son Trig's Life (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin Gets Emotional While Reflecting on the Future of Her Son Trig's LifeOn 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' (Sun., 9PM ET on TLC), Sarah Palin's family travels to Bristol Bay, Alaska. During the trip, there's a lot of symbolism going on. The family celebrates daughter Willow's birthday, which takes place over Fourth of July weekend. In addition, the name "Bristol Bay" inspired Sarah to call her daughter Bristol. But there's more ...

Eldest son Track has returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. He wants to join the fishing industry, which his dad, Todd Palin, used to work in. Bristol Bay has the largest salmon fishery in the world -- and is home to five generations of Todd's family. (This is a lot of symbolism, right?) Now, it's time to do some fishin'! And how does that go? Not so well, actually ...

To break even, Track needs to catch 3,000 pounds of a salmon a day. Instead, he catches almost nothing. He and his dad give up and head to shore. "A big part of being a fisherman is knowing when to cut bait and run," Sarah says. Next, the family crosses the bay to visit Todd's cousin Ina, who has a son named Matthew. And Matt suffers from Down's Syndrome -- just like Trig, Sarah's youngest son.

Bristol Shoots Skeet on 'Sarah Palin's Alaska'Sarah Palin says her daughter Bristol has been hounded by the tabloids "because of someone that she had been associated with." We all know to whom she refers. "So Todd and I really wanted to get her away from all of that and refocus on what truly matters in her life."

On 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' (Sun., 9PM ET on TLC), Bristol's parents take her ... skeet shooting? She appears to be a novice, missing every orange disc that flies through the air. When Bristol wants to quit, Sarah replies, "We're not gonna stop until you get one!"

"Mom, take your prom hair back home!" snaps her daughter. Ooo, nice one, Bristol! Her mother is unfazed: "Don't retreat, just reload," she advises.

Stephen Colbert Unleashes His New Sarah Palin-Inspired Opening CreditsOn the new 'Colbert Report' (weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central), the host unleashed his new opening credit sequence, inspired by 'Sarah Palin's Alaska.'

And so, as Colbert says, it's time to let this modified intro "off the leash."
