Jeff Goldblum and Sarah Silverman Get Dirty on 'The League' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 18th 2011 6:30AM
Jeff Goldblum, 'The League''The League' (Thu., 10:30PM ET on FX) treated us to two fun guest stars who came together in a very disturbing way during an even more disturbing Thanksgiving dinner. It turns out Ruxin's dad, played by Jeff Goldblum, is just like him in almost every way. And we thought one Ruxin was bad.

But as bad as it was seeing double, it was nothing to what Andre went through when his sister, played by Sarah Silverman, showed up and confirmed what the guys have been telling him for years ... except for Ruxin. She taught them everything they know about sex, and in fact offered to give Kevin a refresher course when she found out Jenny wasn't as satisfied as she should have been.

Bubble Trouble: Why 'Pan Am,' 'Parks and Rec' and 12 Other Shows Could Go 'Pop!'

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 28th 2011 11:00AM
Bubble Shows 2011For producers of underperforming television shows, this is the scariest time of the year -- and it's got nothing to do with Halloween specials. By now, the glow of premiere season has long since worn off, and shows we couldn't wait to see just a few short months ago are in serious danger of getting the hook.

Truth be told, the majority of broadcast shows are floating precariously atop the cancellation bubble. A world without 'Fringe'? An NBC Thursday night without 'Community'? Folks, it could happen.

Take NBC: the struggling network is aggressively developing new shows, desperate for a hit. Can old standbys like 'Parks and Recreation' survive when big dogs Sarah Silverman and Dane Cook are all developing new shows at the Peacock network?

A few notches away on the dial, CBS's 'CSI' franchise is starting to fizzle and the network has its eye on new comedies. With three different 'CSI' shows, it's safe to say one will probably go.

Who will survive this season? Only time will tell, but any of these shows could be goners by May.

Alan Cumming, Sarah Silverman, The Good WifeJust because Peter Florrick's election is over on 'The Good Wife' doesn't mean Alan Cumming's Eli Gold is going anywhere.

Cumming has signed a three-year deal with the show, according to Deadline.

Cumming joined 'The Good Wife' as a recurring character during the CBS drama's first season. He's appeared on the second season as a series regular, often sharing scenes with series star Julianna Margulies. The actor was nominated for a guest actor Emmy last year.

Sarah Silverman Talked To Barack Obama About her Upcoming Nude Scene (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Apr 4th 2011 6:00AM
Sarah Silverman on 'Piers Morgan Tonight'Sarah Silverman was a big backer of Barack Obama during the 2008 election, and because of that support she recently got to meet the President.

As the comedienne told 'Piers Morgan Tonight,' (Weeknights, 9PM ET on CNN), she ended up making their encounter awkward by saying something "so lame" that she wanted to grab it and put it back in her mouth.

What happened was that Obama asked her "What's next for you" and Silverman responded by blurting out "I'm going to be naked in a movie!"

After laughing hysterically at Silverman's retelling of her gaffe, Piers Morgan wondered how Obama reacted to it in real time.

Take a tour through the past year of TV and relive some of the best moments the medium had to offer in our 10 Most Viewed Videos of the Year. We'd all do well to study these fan favorites and commit them to long-term memory. After all, someday our grandchildren might ask where we were when Terry Bradshaw sprang from a cake, when Helen Mirren showed up in a red bikini or when Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg walked off their own set. Okay, maybe not. But it's nice to dream.

Sarah Silverman's Thanksgiving Special (VIDEO)

by Ryan McKee, posted Nov 22nd 2010 6:45PM
Sadly, 'The Sarah Silverman Program' is no long with us. That does not mean Silverman will stop delighting, shocking and occasionally disgusting us with her endearingly foul wit. Her latest holiday video on Funny Or Die is a perfect example of just that.

The stand-up comic/actress/writer recalls a Thanksgiving when she was six years old and her well-intentioned father took her to their neighbor's farm to choose a turkey. (A similar version of the story appears in her recent book 'The Bedwetter.') As adults, it's easy to predict the future of whichever turkey young Sarah chose. However, to a child that outcome was not immediately apparent.

Sarah Silverman's Bedwetting Incident is Averted by Elvis (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Apr 29th 2010 4:00PM
Sarah Silverman shared the story of how she wet her bed during a birthday sleepover at age six on 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated). However, she was spared the embarrassment of being revealed as a bedwetter by the untimely death of none other than Elvis Presley.

Silverman said that the birthday girl's mother became enraged when she discovered her soiled clothes. But, just at that moment, news of Presley's death saved her. "And before I could say anything, or not say anything, the birthday girl's father walked in and said, 'Elvis Presley just died!' And it took all the heat off of me," Silverman said.

Watch the video after the jump.
