The 'Secret' is out: In what will be her acting debut, Bristol Palin is set to make a cameo on an upcoming episode of ABC Family's 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager.' She'll play herself in the episode, which will have her working at a music program for teen moms. 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager' (8PM, ABC Family) 2nd summer finale
It's the summer finale and that likely means a cliffhanger or two, especially since everyone is experiencing relationship woes. Grace and Jack seem to be at an impasse when they can't agree on some major decisions, while Amy and Ben are also struggling and Adrian and Ricky go to counseling. And then there's Amy's mom Anne, who goes into labor, and may not have enough time to make it to the hospital. Grace and Jack hit a roadblock; Amy and Ben try to work on their relationship.

Will James Gandolfini ever be anything but Tony Soprano?
by Jane Boursaw, posted Aug 7th 2009 7:30PM
I watched the feature film In the Loop the other day, a documentary-style comedy that looks behind the scenes of the British and U.S. governments. James Gandolfini plays Lt. Gen. George Miller, and all I could think was, "Hey, there's Tony Soprano in a U.S. military uniform." I think his character may have even said something along the lines of, "I'll break your kneecaps if..." I know James Gandolfini has done a lot of projects since The Sopranos, but Tony Soprano is so cemented in my mind, I wonder if I'll ever see him as anything else. I have the same reaction when I see Steve Schirripa playing Leo on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. "Hey, that's Bobby Baccalieri!"
Mayim Bialik talks about her faith and her return to acting
by Kona Gallagher, posted Jul 14th 2009 1:00PM

I suppose if you want to be cynical, you could say that Mayim Bialik is in the midst of a comeback, with several recent television roles, including guest stints on Bones, Secret Life of the American Teenager, and now, Saving Grace. However, it's not as though the erstwhile star of Blossom has spent the last fifteen years sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. After the series' end, she attended UCLA, got married, had two children, and even earned her PhD last year.
Ms. (er, Dr.) Bialik has indeed been busy, but she is now looking to make her way back into Hollywood. She's guest-starring on Saving Grace tonight as Esther, a Hasidic Jewish mother of seven, whose own mother is found murdered in a field full of dead cows. I spoke with Mayim about Saving Grace, the lasting legacy of Blossom, and how she hopes people see her today.
Candace Cameron (Bure) returning to television on Make It or Break It tonight
by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 22nd 2009 3:22PM
We all watched her grow up on Full House and then we watched her disappear from our television screens, seemingly forever. I don't know if I'll go so far as to say Candace Cameron was to the early '90s what Alyssa Milano was to the late '80s, but that's because I'll be forever loyal to my boyhood crush on Samantha Micelli. But while Milano has been on the airwaves virtually every season since the question of Who's the Boss? was answered when the network canceled it, not so for Cameron. She got married and went off to raise her kids for ten years, giving us only a few appearances in that time. Now 33 and ready to get back to work full time, Candace Cameron Bure will be one of the stars in ABC Family's gymnastic-themed Make It or Break It, premiering tonight at 9pm ET.

Yep, Roommates is atrocious - VIDEO
by Eliot Glazer, posted Apr 14th 2009 12:01PM
As a TV Squad contributor who, admittedly, could be considered a "niche viewer" (in that I watch few shows, but never miss an episode), I was naturally hesitant to check out Roommates on ABC Family. A friend guaranteed me that the show was not only as bad as one might expect, but that it was so utterly, bafflingly wretched that investing thirty minutes in it turned out way more entertaining than I'd expected, and not just in the so-bad-it's-funny way, either. Roommates is so atrocious, its production should be considered a criminal offense, considering that, even as a basic cable program, hundreds of thousands of dollars (at the very least) have surely been invested in the show. And that's money that could have easily gone toward refugees or food banks or, say, into the budget of ABC Family's other critically lauded programming like Greek or Secret Life of The American Teenager.

'Secret Life of the American Teenager'(8PM, ABC Family) 1st season finale
Though Amy's been fretting about and preparing for the big day, the actual arrival of her little bundle of teenage pregnancy leaves her reeling, and, understandably, not quite knowing what to do with herself or the baby.
Adding to the upheaval in the Juergens household: Amy's mom, Anne (Molly Ringwald), is shocked when her cheating hubby George takes Amy's little sis Ashley and moves out of the house.
As for Amy's BF, Ben, and her babydaddy, Ricky, the two fellas have decided to become friends for her sake, but, since season two has already gotten a greenlight, it's a good bet that their truce won't last for long.
