Salma Hayek Faces a Snake Attack! (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 10th 2010 10:55PM
Snakes! No one really likes them. No one that we know of, at least. Okay, maybe snakes like other snakes, but frankly, that's a complicated level of discussion that we're not really prepared to get involved in.And actress Salma Hayek really doesn't like snakes. 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated) shares a clip of Salma encountering a snake during a press junket for her new film 'Grown Ups.' As soon as the reptile appears, Salma freaks out, climbing onto a chair and screaming "Somebody do something!" and "Noooooo!"
Yup, she hates snakes. To Salma's credit, she still remains remarkably adorable -- even while cowering on a chair and shrieking in a high-pitched voice.
Bernadette Peters checks in to Ugly Betty

Okay, now that it's behind us, we can say that Lindsay Lohan's turn on Ugly Betty was pretty lame. However, I have hope that other guest stars will do much better. Therefore, the news that Broadway star -- multiple Tony winner -- Bernadette Peters will appear on Ugly Betty is a good thing. Just the name of the character she's playing, Jodie Papadakis, is funny. Please, please, let this be a sign of good things to come, because Ugly Betty could use an injection of good stuff. So far this season, the show has lurched around searching for its comedic soul.
Salma Hayek to guest star on Ugly Betty

Hey, remember when Salma Hayek was on The Sinbad Show back in 1993? Yeah, neither do I, but apparently that was the last time she was on a television show. After the long absence from the tube, Hayek will jump in front of the camera again for a few episodes of Ugly Betty starting on November 2 (just in time for sweeps). Hayek is currently an executive producer of the ABC series. Technically, this won't be the first time Hayek has appeared on the show. In the series pilot she can be seen acting in a telenovela playing on Betty's television. We'll see if Hayek's appearance helps jack up the ratings for Ugly Betty. Not that the show would need it, it's been getting great ratings as of late, and ABC recently picked the series up for a full season.TV Squad Hot Topics
