Sharon Lawrence, who has been popping up all over the small screen lately on shows like 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and 'Grey's Anatomy,' has landed a role in the CBS pilot 'Hitched.'

The half-hour, mulit-camera comedy from exec producer Josh Schwartz ('Gossip Girl,' 'The O.C.'), explores the ordeals of a young newlywed couple ('Smallville's' Kristen Kreuk and 'I Love You, Beth Cooper's' Jack Carpenter) as they try to figure marriage -- and each other -- out.

There a few news bites from several of the Grey's Anatomy actors pre-scoured for your convenience. It's kind of odd reading about these people outside of their characters, but it's true: they are real people. We got some news from Patrick Dempsey, Chandra Wilson, T.R. Knight, and more:

Chandra Wilson to join cast of Chicago - This one's a little old, but noteworthy. Chandra Wilson, better known as Miranda Bailey, will be playing Matron Mama Morton in the musical Chicago starting June 8th and ending July 5, 2009. It's great seeing Wilson play another really strong character; I've never heard her singing chops, but she has a background in musicals, so I'm not doubting it.

I don't know if I had a premonition, but when I watched the Hidden Palms screener last summer I predicted that the series wouldn't last long. The CW somewhat made my prediction come true earlier this week when they announced the series would wrap up sooner.

Hidden Palms was first slated to be a mid-season show and 13 episodes had been ordered. During production, the show's episode number was lowered to 8 and CW decided to keep it for the summer.
