Sig Hansen
From 'Deadliest Catch' to 'Dancing With the Stars'?

It's a little early to start taking 'Dancing With the Stars' rumors seriously, but here's one we can get behind: Reality Blurred reports that 'Deadliest Catch' star Sig Hansen has been approached to compete for the mirrorball trophy next spring.Over the past few seasons, the ABC series has cast pretty young reality stars to samba alongside sports pros and classic TV actors, but we like the idea of going a bit older. And since Hansen has been vocal about his love for the show -- he told Jay Leno last year that he wanted to try his hand at competing -- it's a good match.
"They're looking at it for next March and I'll do it," Hansen told The St. Petersburg Times in a quote that didn't make the final article, but the reporter provided to Reality Blurred. "I think it'd be good for the brand, once-in-a-lifetime thing, and it's f***in' cool, you know?"
'Deadliest Catch's' Sig Hansen Insults His Older Female Fans (VIDEO)

Man overboard! The 'Deadliest Catch's' Sig Hansen didn't score any points with Bonnie Hunt-- or the audience -- on Friday's edition of 'The Bonnie Hunt Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Hunt likes the show -- "Why are we so hooked on this show? I love this show" she said. But the captain wasn't sure about his show's popularity. It's a "guy's soap opera," he said. Then he added, "We have a lot of fans who are women in their later years." Offended, Hunt said "Well I watch it all the time." Sensing he had put his foot in his mouth, the captain put it in even deeper. "You're in the younger crowd. So you're more after my brother Edgar," he said. "I get the older ones -- the ones that gravity has affected." Those were fighting words for Hunt.

Nine reasons why I love Deadliest Catch
by Anna Johns, posted Apr 17th 2008 11:39AM
Deadliest Catch returned with new episodes Tuesday night on Discovery. This is easily one of my favorite shows on television. I could watch a Deadliest Catch marathon every weekend, it's that good. Here are nine reasons why I love this show:
1. Mike Rowe. Yes, the Dirty Jobs guy. He's also the voice of Deadliest Catch and there is no one better suited for the job. He may be a goofball on his own show, but he brings out his deep and foreboding voice to follow the fishermen on Catch.

Jon briefly talked about the crazy weather that the East coast has been experiencing. Actually, one of the buildings close to where I live has revolving glass doors and two of them shattered because of the wind was so strong. Craziness. Of course, the weather talk didn't last long because the show can only go on for so long without making fun of the government..."Loan Wolf": Paul Wolfowitz is in a spot of trouble after some business involving his extra-special lady friend. Sorry, Jon, but I'm not totally sure you'd be able to take Wolfowitz in a fight. He seems to have a certain scrappiness about him.
