'Dog Whisperer' Week(Sun., 8PM, National Geographic)
It's a dog eat dog world out there, but Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz found that before the recent birth of his first child, his bulldog Hemingway was taking the cliché a bit too literally.
Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson called on Cesar Millan to help them quash Hemingway's building aggression, after they bought a new bulldog puppy -- Rigby -- to provide Hemingway with a pal, only to see the elder dog attack Rigby.
Cesar, in an episode that kicks off the annual 'DW' Week, teaches the couple a few simple tricks that will ensure their household is peaceful, and more importantly, safe, for their new son Bronx Mowgli.
Too bad Cesar couldn't have talked them out of that baby name ...

'Britney: For the Record'(Sun., 10PM, MTV)
Here it is, straight from the Britney's mouth: The scoop on the pop star's frenzied life, on the eve of her Dec. 2 birthday (her 27th) and the release of her new CD, 'Circus.'
No topic is off limits in the 90-minute interview, as Britney even dishes on the consequences of her psychological breakdown. Says Spears, "(My life has) no excitement, there's no passion. I think it's too in-control. If I wasn't under the restraints I'm under, I'd feel so liberated."
Her last effort with a confessional video -- the infamous 'Britney and Kevin: Chaotic' -- proved to be the beginning of her downward spiral, so here's hoping 'For the Record' won't be followed by more personal drama during her comeback bid.
According to Jim on DVD. Yippee.

Hey, let's all mark our calendars, because it's a big day in the TV world. Now all the people who aren't watching According to Jim on TV can not watch it on DVD.Season one of the ABC comedy (it's a comedy, right?) will be released on Oct. 21, 2008. It's part of a deal ABC Studios inked with Lionsgate Home Entertainment to distribute select titles on DVD. Season one of Reaper is next on Nov. 4, followed by Boy Meets World (which was discontinued in 2006), Hope and Faith, and 8 Simple Rules.
That's interesting, because I've got Season one of 8 Simple Rules here (no, I didn't buy it, a publicist sent it to me), and it's from Buena Vista Home Entertainment. So Lionsgate must be taking over distribution.
