Once again, 'American Dad' flew solo this week, representing the vast Seth MacFarlane Sunday night empire on FOX. 'Sons of Tucson' will be back to finish its run throughout the summer. The geniuses at FOX then decided that next week, 'Family Guy' and 'The Cleveland Show' will be all new, while 'Dad's' a rerun. This is the kind of brilliant planning that had 'Sons' premiering after a night of almost all repeats.

How do you turn your son into a "man"? And is trying to do that even a good idea? On 'American Dad' (Sun., 9:30PM ET on Fox), Stan Smith decides to pound some sense into his son Steve. But Stan literally pounds his son. After deciding that Steve is a "wimp," Stan takes matters into his own hands by bullying his own child.

On the latest episode of 'American Dad' (Sun., 9:30PM ET on Fox), a slightly bad thing happens. Space alien Roger gets drunk (which is nothing new for him), and makes out with his best friend's wife. Whoops. Not good. His friend and host Stan Smith will not be pleased.

Can you imagine 'American Dad' without Roger? It just wouldn't work at all. Episodes with Roger in a pivotal role are generally at least twice as funny as those without him, which is probably why we're seeing more and more of him. That said, this week Klaus actually got himself pulled into a pretty solid B-story, which is a rarity.

Everyone who watches American Dad knows that Stan Smith is a shallow guy. Heck, if it was your first time watching American Dad, you'd get that in about five minutes, because it's pounded over you head again and again and again and... You get the point, we ALL get the point. This is my biggest problem with the show, it's like a skipping record, we just keep seeing the same thing over and over. The occasions where the needle actually gets back on track are awesome, but the monotony is ridiculous. Speaking of monotony, on with the show!
