'Children's Hospital' Renewed, 'Buffy' Stars to Reunite on 'Supernatural' & More TV News
by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 17th 2011 6:15PM
Rob Corddry's sick and hilariously twisted 'Childrens Hospital' has been renewed for a fourth season on Adult Swim. The Web series-turned-TV hit will shoot 14 new episodes later this year that will air on Adult Swim in 2012."I'm very pleased and honored by this announcement," Corddry said in a statement. "I'm also very surprised, given that I write this show when I'm very, very drunk. Season four promises to be a cry for help."
'Children's Hospital' debuted as a Web series in 2008, and unlike other online-to-network jumps, has proven extremely successful. It has been the No. 1 show in its time period among adults 18-34, 18-49 and 18-24 for the past 10 weeks.

Chelsea Handler Tries to Figure Out Why The Press Is Hard on Taylor Momsen (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 27th 2011 2:10AM
Taylor Momsen has been plagued of late with a pretty negative reputation in the press. From bad behavior on stage with her band The Pretty Reckless to inappropriate wardrobe choices to her virtual elimination as a cast member on 'Gossip Girl.' Most of the criticism has stemmed from the fact that Momsen is only 17-years old.On 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) she found a sympathetic ear as Chelsea Handler has certainly had her share of bad press.
"People are always saying, oh she's such a b****," Handler said of her own perception in the media. "Yeah, I am a b**** actually."
But both women agreed that they were actually quite sweet in person. "I'm much nicer in person," Handler agreed. "I'm just doing this to make some money."
News Roundup: Another 'Big Bang Theory' Star Gets a Raise, 'Gossip Girl' Benches Taylor Momsen and More
by Jean Bentley, posted Nov 23rd 2010 12:15PM
Another 'Big Bang Theory' star is getting a raise. After Simon Helberg's co-stars Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons successfully negotiated major raises for their hit CBS sitcom this summer, the actor decided to get one for himself.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Helberg bumped his salary from $40,000 an episode to around $125,000. He entered negotiations along with fellow supporting series regular Kunal Nayyar in September after their co-stars struck their lucrative deal, but Nayyar has yet to secure a payday for his role on the show. Deadline reports that Nayyar is currently making around $25,000 an episode, and if a deal is not reached soon the negotiations will be tabled until the summer.

Tim Gunn on His 'Gossip Girl' Cameo: Taylor Momsen's 'Pathetic,' Everyone Else Is a 'Delight'
by Jean Bentley, posted Sep 15th 2010 10:45AM
By now, the contestants on 'Project Runway' know better than to ignore the advice from wise sage Tim Gunn. So perhaps notoriously independent 'Gossip Girl' 17-year-old star Taylor Momsen will listen to Gunn's guidance as well. When making a cameo appearance on 'GG''s fourth episode this season, Gunn observed Momsen's bratty behavior firsthand."What a diva!" he told E! News. "She was pathetic; she couldn't remember her lines; and she didn't even have that many. I thought to myself, 'Why are we all being held hostage by this brat?' "
'Gossip Girl' Top 10 Moments: Relive Season 3
by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 10th 2010 3:50PM
When it comes to producing true OMG, WTF TV moments, few do it better than the scandalous stars of the CW's 'Gossip Girl,' which begins its eagerly anticipated fourth season on Monday, Sept. 13 at 9PM ET. But before we say bonjour to our Paris-based premiere episode, there's no better time to reminisce about some of our favorite twists and turns from last year.
Remember that ill-advised threesome? Little J's homewrecking ways? That shocking mid-season car crash? How about the cliffhanger to all end cliffhangers that saw Chuck Bass bleeding out in an alleyway (don't those muggers know who he is?) -- we sure do; join us after the jump to see which gaspworthy moments made our Top 10, as chosen by the 'Gossip Girl' producers.
'Gossip Girl' - 'The Unblairable Lightness of Being' Recap
by Laura Prudom, posted Apr 13th 2010 10:02AM

Oh, what tangled webs those Upper East Siders weave; we can always count on 'Gossip Girl' to squeeze a scandal out of any special occasion, which, this week, happened to be Dorota's shotgun wedding.
Turns out that Mommy and Daddy Dorota are the traditional types, and their plans for an impromptu visit to the Big Apple to see their daughter seem to necessitate some immediate (and lavish) nuptials -- what better way to distract ma and pa from the fact that their little angel has been sneakily hiding her pregnancy from them, like any self-respecting career girl?

(S03E17) "He is sitting down with Satan this morning." - Blair about ChuckMark your calendars, everyone, because all the teen/tweens of the show were in the same building at the same time! That even includes Eric, who finally returned to the show.
But that wasn't the important event of the episode. Actually, Nate's birthday party and Vanessa and Dan's relationship problems were only filler when compared to what happened between

(S03E16) "I'm a firm believer in second chances." - EleanorI'm a believer in second chances, as well, but some people don't deserve second chances. Where 'Gossip Girl' is concerned, two of these people are Jack and Agnes. Both are bad news and only bring pain to our favorite characters.
Thankfully, the show brought back two beloved recurring characters that bring some balance to the dark side brought by Agnes and Jack: Eleanor and Dorota. How long has it been since we last saw those two? Long enough for Eleanor to have a complete new line of clothes ready to show the world and for Dorota to be ready to pop!
Nate Gets Punched on 'Gossip Girl' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 23rd 2010 3:52AM
It never fails. You try to protect your friend from some smarmy guy and end up getting punched in the face. But we're guessing it's not the first time Nate's been punched. He's on 'Gossip Girl' (Mon., 9PM ET on The CW), after all.And Little J's such a brat. She has no problem leaving with drug dealing Damien while leaving her lifelong friend -- albeit one she has a history with -- on the floor. Sheesh!

'Gossip Girl' - 'The Sixteen Year Old Virgin' Recap
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Mar 23rd 2010 2:02AM

(S03E15) "Rufus is driving Jenny right into Damien's creepy arms." - Serena to Nate
This week's Jenny-centric episode made me notice how I missed seeing the entire gang working together towards a common goal. However, Chuck and Blair were left on the sidelines since he was occupied by Jack, Elizabeth, a lawsuit and a boycott.
No matter, it was refreshing to see Serena, Nate, Dan, Vanessa, Lily and Rufus all work hand in hand in order to locate Jenny and bring her back to safety -- location also known as "the loft where Jenny will be grounded for life."
'Gossip Girl' - 'The Lady Vanished' Recap
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Mar 16th 2010 1:05AM

(S03E14) "Whatever she has to say, it's better than not knowing." - Serena about Elizabeth
Chuck's quest to learn more about Elizabeth continued with the help of Blair, Nate and Serena. The latter took Chuck's quest to heart, as it was similar to her trying to find her father and get to know him. Without Serena, we wouldn't have discovered the truth about Elizabeth (more on that after the jump).
The episode also featured Jenny's downfall, Lily making a discovery about Rufus, and Vanessa and Dan making a decision about their relationship. Good thing the Elizabeth storyline was intriguing, because the Vanessa and Dan scenes were just awful and I have only one word to sum up my feelings about them: belch!
'Gossip Girl' - 'The Hurt Locket' Recap

(S03E13) "Time changes everything." - Gossip GirlIt seems like a season ago when we last saw our favorite Upper Eastsiders, no? The last new episode aired on December 7, which was three months ago! That's as long as we have to wait between a season finale and a season premiere!!! Our patience will be rewarded with ten consecutive weeks of fresh episodes!
'The Debarted' may have aired a lifetime ago, and if you missed the recap at the beginning of the episode, you may not remember much of what happened. Well, maybe except that jaw-dropping moment near the end where Chuck finds an unidentified woman at Bart's grave. Is she his mother?

(S03E12) "I know today is the anniversary of his death." - Blair to ChuckAs Ryan said in comments to last week's post, "The Treasure of Serena Madre" would've been a great last episode of 2009 with all of the drama and excitement it contained, as well as the few cliffhangers. However, The CW decided otherwise and aired one more episode before the show goes on hiatus.
Now that I've seen "The Debarted," I agree with Ryan. The network should have ended 2009 with "The Treasure of Serena Madre" and air this week's installment in January as the sole new episode before the Olympics since it also ended with a few cliffhangers. Don't you agree?
Review: Gossip Girl - The Treasure of Serena Madre
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Dec 1st 2009 1:02AM

(S03E11) It's Thanksgiving time on the Upper East Side, and you know what that means? Loads of drama and awkward situations. This special episode also marks the return of a few of the show's mothers, including Jessica's mother, Blair's mother, and Lily's mother CeCe.
Sadly, due to a prior engagement, I will not be able to offer you a full review of the episode in due time. Please take a few minutes to post your reactions to the episodes in the comments section below. In my review of the December 7 episode, I'll post my comments about "The Treasure of Serena Madre" and may include a few of your own comments.
So don't be shy. Let the other TV Squad readers know what you thought of this week's episode. What did you think of all the mother drama? Was Jenny's revenge against Eric too much? How about the damaging info Chuck has on his friends? Share your reactions, theories, and comments below.
The last episode before the holiday break, "The Debarted," will air next week on December 7.
