The Bachelorette Season 7

'Bachelorette' Ashley Hebert's Sister Chrystie Says She Was Wrong About J.P.

by Catherine Lawson, posted Aug 4th 2011 8:00AM
'The Bachelorette' Season 7 FinaleOne of the more memorable parts of this week's 'Bachelorette' season finale was when prospective husband J.P. Rosenbaum faced a tough grilling from Ashley Hebert's family.

Especially big sister Chrystie Corns, who even made Ashley cry with her assessment that J.P. is, well, a bit boring and definitely not a good match for her.

Now, in an extraordinary about-face -- brought on by a really awkward family reunion, perhaps? -- 'Extreme Couponing' alum Chrystie says she's had a change of heart.

She's even gone so far as to label J.P. her sister's "knight in shining armor."

Who Did Ashley Hebert Choose on 'The Bachelorette' Finale?

by Catherine Lawson, posted Aug 2nd 2011 4:20AM
'The Bachelorette' Season 7 FinaleIt's been a tough old season for Ashley Hebert. Usually it's 'The Bachelorette' who turns men down, but over the last few weeks we've seen a record number of suitors choose to walk away from her and the show.

However, on last night's Season 7 finale Ashley finally got that romantic ending she'd been looking for.

On a beach in Fiji she tearfully accepted a proposal of marriage from the last man standing kneeling: None other than fan favorite J.P. Rosenbaum.

The 34-year-old construction manager from Roslyn, New York faced a tough grilling from her family and beat out Ben Flajnik to win Ashley's heart in the end.

But did Ashley find true love? Or was it all rigged for the viewers' benefit?

'The Bachelorette': From Three Guys to Four to the Final Two (VIDEO)

Ashley Hebert, 'The Bachelorette'This week, an eliminated bachelor flew to Fiji to try and get another chance with Ashley Hebert on 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), and it wasn't Bentley. It wasn't Ames either, though we suspect that's because he still may not have fully registered that he was eliminated last week.

Apparently, Ryan thought getting eliminated in the middle of a date may indicate a hasty decision on Ashley's part, so he came back and gave Ashley a second chance to consider him.

"I don't know if after I left if you sat back and you regretted anything, if you thought ... maybe we should have had more of a chance," he told her. "If that's in your mind at all, then I want to spend more time with you."

'The Bachelorette' Season 7, Episode 8 Recap

JP and Ashley['The Bachelorette' - 'Season 7, Episode 8']

Thanks to the sad lack of mounted animal carcasses or a secret weapons cache in anyone's basement, this year's 'Bachelorette' hometown dates were, I'm sorry to report, a complete snoozefest.

Not that I don't find JP's roller disco antics somewhat quaint, in a "we can smell the cheese from here," kind of way -- but when the evening's most eventful moments were a tie between JP falling over and every single relative Constantine has bursting through the door to accost Ashley, there may be a spark missing (sorry, Ames).

Excuse me while I go and check what my water heater is doing ...

'The Bachelorette': Ashley Meets the Guys' Families, Sends One Home (VIDEO)

Ashley Hebert, 'The Bachelorette'Ashley Hebert took a whirlwind tour to four different families on 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC). It was the home visits week, which meant the four remaining bachelors would have to deal with all the skeletons of their families being laid bare before Ashley.

Actually, it was a pretty skeleton-free affair, meaning Ashley didn't learn any horrible secrets, or experience any crazy situations to help her make that agonizing decision to send one of those guys right back to the family she was just cozying and smiling with.

'The Bachelorette' Season 7, Episode 7 Recap

Ashley['The Bachelorette' - Week 7]

Welcome back, eternal optimists and cynics alike -- time for another unpredictable night with 'The Bachelorette.'

As the show progresses, it seems like Ashley and the fellas are starting to unravel at a faster rate; there were tears aplenty this week, and not just from our lovelorn lady.

It's becoming apparent that some relationships are burning more slowly than others, and in this week's episode, Ashley seemed to be getting jittery that perhaps her Bentley break-up prophecy would come true, and she might end up pulling a Brad and wind up alone after the final rose.

Ashley's gameplay has been a little skewed, though, since she seems to have made a habit of placing too much value on the guys she hasn't even had a one-on-one date with yet.

Emily Maynard Confirms Brad Womack Split, But She's Still in Love With Him (VIDEO)

Emily Maynard, 'The Bachelorette'Emily Maynard came back to the mansion where she met Brad Womack on 'The Bachelor' to talk about and confirm their break-up. The interview aired as part of 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC) and saw Maynard adamant in her support of Womack.

"I'll always be in love with Brad," she told Chris Harrison. "No one will ever hear me say a bad word about him, nor will I tolerate anybody else saying anything bad about him."

So be careful what you say in the comments, as Maynard may be reading and she will not tolerate any Brad-bashing!

Bentley's Back, But is Ashley Still Swooning for Him on 'The Bachelorette'? (VIDEO)

Bentley, 'The Bachelorette'Ashley and the remaining boys are halfway around the world in Hong Kong on 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), but apparently that still isn't far enough to get away from Bentley.

Quite possibly the biggest d-bag to ever participate in a reality show must have decided he needed some more screen time if he was willing to fly to Hong Kong just to mess with Ashley some more.

He slipped right into his slimy, flirty persona and she was melting right into it for a while, but finally the truth started to come out and apparently Bentley let her off the hook. Only then did Ashley finally see him for what he is. Either that, or she's just hurt and angry and lashing out.

Ames Takes a Hard Hit to the Head Kickboxing on 'The Bachelorette' (VIDEO)

Ames and Ashley Hebert, 'The Bachelorette'There's an expression about taking one for the team, but Ames took one for the heart on 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC). Someone -- we're looking at you, producers! -- decided that a great date for Ashley and the boys would be to have the guys pair off and fight one another.

Since they're in Thailand, Muay Thai kickboxing was the fighting style and the men were given some training, but still it made for some uncomfortable moments for Ashley, as the spectator.

Maybe she's not the kind of girl who likes to watch two guys fighting for her affection ... well, literally fighting. She obviously doesn't mind the concept of guys competing, or else she wouldn't be on this show.

'The Bachelorette' Season 7, Episode 4 Recap

Ashley and her suitors['The Bachelorette' - 'Season 7, Episode 4']

If I hear the name "Bentley" one more time ...

As this week's 'Bachelorette' began, I cheerily hypothesized that taking a shot every time Ashley mentioned the B. word would result in a much more enjoyable viewing experience, but a quarter of the way through the show, I realized that the entire audience would be dead of alcohol poisoning by 10PM if they attempted it.

To be fair, that still might have been preferable to watching Ashley lament the premature exit of her One True Love all week long, but it probably wouldn't have made a good impression on ABC's advertisers.

Still, as infuriatingly oblivious as Ashley was this week, it's easy to forget that she wasn't privy to the dastardly side of Bentley we've seen from the start, since I'm fairly sure she wouldn't have been making gooey eyes up at the sky and taking pensive boat rides in Phuket if she'd heard him whining about how annoying it was that she wouldn't stop crying while he was trying to dump her.

Bentley Breaks Ashley's Heart, Is Annoyed When She Cries, on 'Bachelorette' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 7th 2011 10:15AM
Bentley Williams, 'The Bachelorette'For three weeks, anyone who was actually hoping 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC) may just lead Ashley Hebert to love, has been watching in frustration as she feel deeper and deeper in thrall to Bentley Williams.

Possibly the most purely despicable person to ever participate in any format of 'The Bachelor' franchise, he has delighted in his heinous behavior, and continued to do so this week. But apparently, there's only so long that Bentley is willing to mess with a girl he describes as "not attractive at all."

But even though he decided to leave, he made sure that his public image as the biggest douchebag in the world was intact. "It's annoying to just hold a girl that's just crying and crying and crying," he said after telling us he was going to go make her cry.

'The Bachelorette' Season 7, Episode 3 Recap

Ashley and Bentley['The Bachelorette' - 'Season 7, Episode 3']

Step aside, Wes Hayden, there's a new bad boy in town, and his hair is way better than yours. No season of 'The Bachelorette' would be complete without the guy you love to hate, but after this week's performance, Bentley Williams may be reality TV's Public Enemy Number One.

For three episodes, we've seen the single dad (someone call CPS) preen and scheme and cackle malevolently at Ashley's ignorance (and, to be fair, the girl has made some pretty laughable decisions this season), but the drama came to a head tonight.

Not because Bentley chose to own up and admit that he'd rather swim in pee than go on a wedding-themed date with our Bachelorette, of course, but because, up until the bitter end, he still had Ashley convinced that he was on the show for the Right Reasons.

Someone hand that man an Emmy.

'The Bachelorette' Season 7, Episode 2 Recap

Ashley Herbert['The Bachelorette' - 'Season 7, Episode 2']

Paging Kasey Kahl -- we think that Ashley is in serious need of a man who wants to guard and protect her heart, because evil Bentley looks set to sweep her off her feet and straight into the fireplace, and right now, it seems like she's utterly oblivious (or desperate for a ratings boost).

As we reached "Week Two" in 'Bachelorette' land, it soon became apparent that the boys were no longer on their best behavior (if they ever were) and the testosterone poisoning was starting to rear its shaggy, artfully styled head.

Ignoring the fact that Bentley looks like the soulless, perfectly coiffed spawn of Spencer Pratt and Matthew McConaughey, and that "Phantom of the Bachelor Pad" Jeff was lurking in dark corners and stealthily vacuuming, the rest of Ashley's suitors were wasting no time in getting catty, proving that you're never too manly for metaphorical hair pulling.

Ashley Just Can't See How Horrible Bentley Is on 'The Bachelorette' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 31st 2011 1:32AM
Ashley Hebert & Bentley Williams, 'The Bachelorette'Bentley Williams continued his reign of terror on this season of 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC). We can't imagine what it's like for him or her watching these episodes, but Bentley is so blatantly playing Ashley Hebert and she simply can't see it.

His actions don't show men in a very good light and do a lot to explain why many women have such a hard time trusting guys. We don't know, obviously, how far Bentley makes it this season, but Ashley does. She must be beside herself in shock at how much he's not taking this seriously.

He's admitted she's hot, but not his type. He likes the idea of competing for her, so it really is just a game for him. He'd probably love nothing more than to beat all the other guys in the competition just to prove that he could and then tell her "No" at the end.

Jimmy Kimmel Surprises 'The Bachelorette' With Footage From Next Week's Episode (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 24th 2011 3:34AM
Ashley Hebert, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'Working on a reality show like 'The Bachelorette' is kind of like living in a bubble. Contestants often see shocking revelations at the same time we do, when episodes are on television. After all, Ashley Hebert wasn't around when the guys were doing their confessionals and talking about her.

Jimmy Kimmel pulled back the curtain on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC) by showing Ashley a clip from next week's episode, which she'd not seen yet. This allowed us to see her uncensored reaction to one of the guys saying what he really thought of her.

He did compliment her figure, which is nice we suppose, but then said it would be amazing if she would "tickle his pickle." But competing for her was the extent of his interest. "She's just not my type," he concluded.
