'The League': Eliza Dushku Is Getting Frisky With Kevin (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 9th 2011 6:30AM
'The League' - 'The Light of Genesis'Eliza Dushku got very intimate with one castmember of 'The League' (Thu., 10:30PM ET on FX) during her guest spot as a Krav Maga instructor. Kevin spent the episode convinced that she was clearly hitting on him, but his wife just wasn't buying it.

Meanwhile, Dushku kept using Kevin as her partner to show moves to the class, putting his hands on her breasts before taking him down, and at another point putting her hands on him to demonstrate another move.

When Kevin brought Pete in, he didn't even get close to her before he was on the mat.

The Guys Stage a Reverse Intervention for Will Forte on 'The League' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 2nd 2011 6:30AM
'The League' - 'The Out of Towner'Pete's been in a bit of a dry spell of late on 'The League' (Thu., 10:30PM ET on FX), so he was more than thrilled that their old buddy Chuck (Will Forte) was coming back into town. Back in the day, his very disturbing antics with the single ladies allowed Pete to come in and smooth things over. It was a win-win!

But when Chuck showed up, he was disturbingly with a chip commemorating his sobriety. This simply won't do, so the boys tried to stage a reverse-intervention to convince him to drink. Chuck was strong, but no one was strong enough later when Andre accidentally used cocaine instead of confectioners sugar to rim the glasses for drinks later.

Jeff Goldblum and Sarah Silverman Get Dirty on 'The League' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 18th 2011 6:30AM
Jeff Goldblum, 'The League''The League' (Thu., 10:30PM ET on FX) treated us to two fun guest stars who came together in a very disturbing way during an even more disturbing Thanksgiving dinner. It turns out Ruxin's dad, played by Jeff Goldblum, is just like him in almost every way. And we thought one Ruxin was bad.

But as bad as it was seeing double, it was nothing to what Andre went through when his sister, played by Sarah Silverman, showed up and confirmed what the guys have been telling him for years ... except for Ruxin. She taught them everything they know about sex, and in fact offered to give Kevin a refresher course when she found out Jenny wasn't as satisfied as she should have been.

Seth Rogen Plays Porn Director Dirty Randy on 'The League' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 7th 2011 6:30AM
Seth Rogen, 'The League'Andre was definitely made to suffer even beyond what he did in the off-season by the end of this season premiere of 'The League' (Thu., 10:30PM ET on FX). The oft-mentioned but never seen Dirty Randy finally made an appearance, and he bears an eery resemblance to Seth Rogen with a sweet handlebar mustache.

For the final punishment for coming in last the prior season, the gang decided to have Dirty Randy shoot a porn film in Andre's apartment. He had plenty of credentials, including a foul version of 'Schindler's List,' though we almost wish we didn't know his reason for the "artful" decision to film it in black-and-white.

'The League' Season 2 DVD Extra: Taco Sets Snakes Free in Andre's Office (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 4th 2011 4:30PM
Season 3 of FX's fantasy football buddy comedy 'The League' premieres this week (Thurs., Oct. 6, 10:30PM ET), and to celebrate the impending awesomeness, we've got an exclusive deleted scene from the Season 2 DVD and Blu-ray, which released out today.

In the clip, Taco (Jon Lajoie) comes to Andre's (Paul Scheer) plastic surgery office to present him with the Rod of Asclepius. Asclepius, of course, is the Greek God of healing, and Taco's interpretation of his rod is a cane with two rubber snakes wrapped around it.

But Taco -- being the perpetually stoned, lovable moron that he is -- also lets a few live snakes loose into the waiting room, because "Asclepius lets snakes wander freely in his place of healing."

"By the power of my staff, you are banished, Taco!" Andre yells. Taco then beats the snakes with his nunchucks. Naturally. Check out the clip after the jump.

Best Football Shows Ever

by Scott Harris, posted Feb 1st 2011 3:00PM
Football ShowsBaseball may be known as our national pastime, but there's no doubt what America's favorite sport really is: football.

Much of football's popularity can be traced to how well football translates to television, with tens of millions of people tuning in every weekend to enjoy the sport on every level from high school and college to the NFL.

So, considering how well suited football is for the small screen, it's a surprise just how few TV shows about football there have been over the decades. Sure, there are plenty of live shows with pundits and former players discussing next week's matchup or breaking down last week's game film, but we mean honest-go-goodness programming -- you know, like dramas, comedies, reality shows. Why haven't there been more about the ol' pigskin?

What Do Monkeys Love? 'Late Night' Has the Answer (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 26th 2010 5:46AM
What Do Monkeys Love? 'Late NightComedian Paul Scheer was the guest on the new 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' (weeknights, 12:37AM on NBC). Scheer is currently starring on 'The League' -- a comedy series about a fantasy football league. But despite the show's topic, it isn't all fun and games. And Paul had some unpleasant stories to tell about one of his co-stars ... who happened to be a monkey.

Yes, show business is so glamorous like that. You finally get your own series on basic cable, and then you're hanging out with a monkey. Correction: with a poorly trained monkey. Scheer revealed that the animal trainer couldn't do much to protect him from the angry simian. Paul also told host Jimmy Fallon about a few things that monkeys love.
