by Donald Deane, posted Dec 22nd 2010 10:45AM
What's grosser than gross? Daytime TV, of course. If it's stomach-churning moments you're after, look no further. Our nominees for the Biggest Daytime Gross-Out of 2010 include sexually suggestive workouts, medical oddities, a man intent upon milking himself and a poor sap who eats something he definitely shouldn't. All that's missing are people doing disgusting things with urine. Oh, wait ...The Last Episode of 'The Tyra Show' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted May 31st 2010 7:45PM
Well, that's the end. This is the last episode of 'The Tyra Show' (weekdays, syndicated). We've had some highs, some lows, a lot of uses of the word "fierce," and a lot of clips that ended up being parodied on 'The Soup.' On her last episode, Tyra cries, thanks her audience -- and kisses the floor.During her farewell monologue, Tyra talks about how her critics predicted that the show would be canceled within two weeks. She also lists all her accomplishments as a model, photographer, and host of 'that little model show' ('America's Next Top Model'). After doing some crying, she thanks her audience for "what guys you have allowed me to be." Tyra then says this: "I am humble." Then, she kisses the floor of her studio.
Right. We're not sure if gushing about your own achievements, weeping about your own show, and attacking your critics counts as being "humble." But it did at least provide us with another uniquely "Tyra-esque" moment for the ages. And thank you, Tyra. We will miss you and your zaniness.

Is it Ellen and Portia ... or Elton John and David Furnish?"
The couples have to predict each other's answers correctly, in a parody of 'The Newlywed Game.' And there's a big payday awaiting one of them.

by Oliver Miller, posted May 24th 2010 9:20PM
Well, 'The Tyra Show' (weekdays, syndicated) has reached its final season, and is winding down to its inevitable conclusion. We will all miss Tyra's unique brand of zaniness. On the most recent show, she provides us with a great Tyra-esque moment, by wearing a T-shirt with a picture of a penis on it. Or so one would think.Tyra quickly clarifies that her shirt does not have a picture of a penis or a vibrator on it (although that's exactly what it looks like). Instead, the shirt has the logo for her new foundation -- an organization called BIO, which stands for "Beauty Inside and Out." Unfortunately, the logo looks a bit ... suggestive.
But no! It's not a penis ... or a vibrator. Get your mind out of the gutter. Tyra explains that the picture is of "a lipstick with, like, roots [coming out of it]." Okay. And Tyra gives free copies of the T-shirt to all her audience members as well. So that we get to see hundreds of women wearing an image of -- well, what whatever you want to think it is. It's up to you to interpret it for yourself.

What should she do about this? The answer given to the question is equally odd. A member of the panel tells the woman that she should hold down her boyfriend while having sex and say, "Can your momma do this?" Um ... interesting advice! Of course, there's always the horrifying possibility that her boyfriend will say "Yes" in reply.

Plus-Sized Women on 'The Tyra Show' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted May 13th 2010 9:50PM
2010 has been declared the year of the plus-sized women. In order to honor that, Tyra Banks had a symposium of curvaceous women as guests on 'The Tyra Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Tyra also had a panel of comedians in attendance to answer the guests' questions. One woman came up to the podium and declared that her hairdresser had recently asked what her "due date" was. Her hairdresser thought that she was pregnant, but as the woman says, "I'm not pregnant, I'm just fat. I didn't know what to do, so I lied; I told her my due date was March."
The comedians on the show offered additional helpful advice, saying that the woman hadn't taken the situation far enough. They recommended that next time, the woman go even further with the fake pregnancy scam. Then they suggested that she force the person in question to rub her belly, then announce that she won't be giving birth for 18 years, until it's time for the kid to go to college. Good stuff.

He then reveals that his nipples have been enlarged from all the pumping, while Tyra eagerly peers at his chest. It really has to be seen to be believed.

She presents a hypothetical to Judy. Here's the question that Judy has to answer: Would she prefer a "super-duper rich guy" with his own private jets, but the rich guy doesn't actually seem to like her that much? Or would she prefer a normal man who actually cares about her, but the normal man only makes $75,000 a year?
Judy earnestly purses her lips, considering this question. This is her answer: "I would definitely [choose the rich guy] -- the private plane -- all that. ... Oh, in a heartbeat." Right. Interesting answer, Judy! You get points for honesty, if nothing else.
