Who Took Home the Money on the 'Bachelor Pad' Season Finale?

by Catherine Lawson, posted Sep 13th 2011 7:00AM
'Bachelor Pad' castSo, it was the season finale at last on 'Bachelor Pad' last night. Time to pack away the thong bikinis and swim trunks as one lucky couple was awarded the $250,000 grand prize. For the others, it was rejection time. (Again.)

And the winners are: Holly Durst and Michael Stagliano. Yes, the on-again off-again couple walked away with the win despite the fact that Holly has already gotten engaged to housemate Blake Julian after a whirlwind romance.

That's right, she's engaged to Blake, and if you didn't already know that before the finale then you weren't alone. Michael didn't know either.

'Bachelor Pad' - Top 5 Awkward Moments in Episode 4

by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 30th 2011 6:30AM
Blake and Melissa - Bachelor PadHave you ever wanted to know what someone looks like when they're having a mental breakdown on national television? If so, you probably owe Melissa a muffin basket for sating your curiosity on this week's 'Bachelor Pad.'

The kooky blonde has been slowly unraveling for the past few weeks, but her cray-cray behavior (behay-hay?) finally reached its boiling point in the latest episode, after she had at least three very public meltdowns at/because of Blake.

As a result, I'm switching things up in this week's recap, and instead of choosing the top five most awkward moments, I'm going to come right out and name the top five most awkward people instead. (Okay, Melissa was so cringeworthy that I may have chosen her twice, so sue me.)

What Reality TV Teaches Us About Love and Marriage

by Stephanie Earp, posted Aug 9th 2011 12:00PM
The conclusion of another season of the 'The Bachelorette' and last night's debut of the dirty after-party called 'Bachelor Pad' got me thinking about the state of marriage -- at least on reality TV.

My parents got married at City Hall. My mom was wearing a caftan over her baby bump (I was born a few months later) and my dad wore a V-neck sweater, high-heeled boots and five o'clock shadow. It was the '70s and the whole thing cost as much as the marriage license. Granted, it didn't last, but as I'm sure you've noticed, most marriages don't.

Who Did Ashley Hebert Choose on 'The Bachelorette' Finale?

by Catherine Lawson, posted Aug 2nd 2011 4:20AM
'The Bachelorette' Season 7 FinaleIt's been a tough old season for Ashley Hebert. Usually it's 'The Bachelorette' who turns men down, but over the last few weeks we've seen a record number of suitors choose to walk away from her and the show.

However, on last night's Season 7 finale Ashley finally got that romantic ending she'd been looking for.

On a beach in Fiji she tearfully accepted a proposal of marriage from the last man standing kneeling: None other than fan favorite J.P. Rosenbaum.

The 34-year-old construction manager from Roslyn, New York faced a tough grilling from her family and beat out Ben Flajnik to win Ashley's heart in the end.

But did Ashley find true love? Or was it all rigged for the viewers' benefit?

'The Bachelorette': From Three Guys to Four to the Final Two (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 26th 2011 12:44AM
Ashley Hebert, 'The Bachelorette'This week, an eliminated bachelor flew to Fiji to try and get another chance with Ashley Hebert on 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), and it wasn't Bentley. It wasn't Ames either, though we suspect that's because he still may not have fully registered that he was eliminated last week.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Apparently, Ryan thought getting eliminated in the middle of a date may indicate a hasty decision on Ashley's part, so he came back and gave Ashley a second chance to consider him.

"I don't know if after I left if you sat back and you regretted anything, if you thought ... maybe we should have had more of a chance," he told her. "If that's in your mind at all, then I want to spend more time with you."

'The Bachelorette' Season 7, Episode 8 Recap

by Laura Prudom, posted Jul 19th 2011 7:00AM
JP and Ashley['The Bachelorette' - 'Season 7, Episode 8']

Thanks to the sad lack of mounted animal carcasses or a secret weapons cache in anyone's basement, this year's 'Bachelorette' hometown dates were, I'm sorry to report, a complete snoozefest.

Not that I don't find JP's roller disco antics somewhat quaint, in a "we can smell the cheese from here," kind of way -- but when the evening's most eventful moments were a tie between JP falling over and every single relative Constantine has bursting through the door to accost Ashley, there may be a spark missing (sorry, Ames).

Excuse me while I go and check what my water heater is doing ...

'The Bachelorette': Ashley Meets the Guys' Families, Sends One Home (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 19th 2011 12:51AM
Ashley Hebert, 'The Bachelorette'Ashley Hebert took a whirlwind tour to four different families on 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC). It was the home visits week, which meant the four remaining bachelors would have to deal with all the skeletons of their families being laid bare before Ashley.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Actually, it was a pretty skeleton-free affair, meaning Ashley didn't learn any horrible secrets, or experience any crazy situations to help her make that agonizing decision to send one of those guys right back to the family she was just cozying and smiling with.

Emily Maynard is Not the Next 'Bachelorette' (Yet)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jul 13th 2011 7:25AM
Emily MaynardIt seems as though the rumors of Emily Maynard's continuing reality TV stardom may have been premature. 'The Bachelor(ette)' host Chris Harrison has shot down reports that the newly single Maynard is in the running to be the next 'Bachelorette.'

Harrison told 'Access Hollywood' that "Rumors of Emily being the 'Bachelorette' are greatly exaggerated. It is way too early, way too presumptuous of anybody to say she's 'The Bachelorette'."

He added that, "As far as TV goes, we don't go into production on 'The Bachelorette' for six more months. We would never pigeonhole ourselves ... this early."

'The Bachelorette' Season 7, Episode 7 Recap

by Laura Prudom, posted Jul 12th 2011 5:00AM
Ashley['The Bachelorette' - Week 7]

Welcome back, eternal optimists and cynics alike -- time for another unpredictable night with 'The Bachelorette.'

As the show progresses, it seems like Ashley and the fellas are starting to unravel at a faster rate; there were tears aplenty this week, and not just from our lovelorn lady.

It's becoming apparent that some relationships are burning more slowly than others, and in this week's episode, Ashley seemed to be getting jittery that perhaps her Bentley break-up prophecy would come true, and she might end up pulling a Brad and wind up alone after the final rose.

Ashley's gameplay has been a little skewed, though, since she seems to have made a habit of placing too much value on the guys she hasn't even had a one-on-one date with yet.

Emily Maynard Confirms Brad Womack Split, But She's Still in Love With Him (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 12th 2011 1:03AM
Emily Maynard, 'The Bachelorette'Emily Maynard came back to the mansion where she met Brad Womack on 'The Bachelor' to talk about and confirm their break-up. The interview aired as part of 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC) and saw Maynard adamant in her support of Womack.

"I'll always be in love with Brad," she told Chris Harrison. "No one will ever hear me say a bad word about him, nor will I tolerate anybody else saying anything bad about him."

So be careful what you say in the comments, as Maynard may be reading and she will not tolerate any Brad-bashing!

'Love in the Wild': 2x the Reality, 2x the Fun

by Stephanie Earp, posted Jul 4th 2011 2:30PM
I've never really followed an entire season of reality dating show, except for Meredith's turn on 'The Bachelorette', mainly because I was pretty sure she was doing it as a joke.

So color me surprised to find I actually enjoyed the debut of 'Love in the Wild' last week and have mentally penciled episode two into my calendar this Wednesday (9PM ET/PT, CTV/NBC). The show definitely hearkens back to the era of 'Paradise Hotel' or 'Temptation Island' but manages to feel like a fresher take on the pretty-people-in-a-hot-tub genre. Basically, it's a blatant attempt to mix 'Survivor' with 'The Bachelor'. The result includes some of the best and worst elements of both of those shows.

Bentley's Back, But is Ashley Still Swooning for Him on 'The Bachelorette'? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 28th 2011 1:10AM
Bentley, 'The Bachelorette'Ashley and the remaining boys are halfway around the world in Hong Kong on 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), but apparently that still isn't far enough to get away from Bentley.

Quite possibly the biggest d-bag to ever participate in a reality show must have decided he needed some more screen time if he was willing to fly to Hong Kong just to mess with Ashley some more.

He slipped right into his slimy, flirty persona and she was melting right into it for a while, but finally the truth started to come out and apparently Bentley let her off the hook. Only then did Ashley finally see him for what he is. Either that, or she's just hurt and angry and lashing out.

Ames Takes a Hard Hit to the Head Kickboxing on 'The Bachelorette' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 21st 2011 12:05AM
Ames and Ashley Hebert, 'The Bachelorette'There's an expression about taking one for the team, but Ames took one for the heart on 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC). Someone -- we're looking at you, producers! -- decided that a great date for Ashley and the boys would be to have the guys pair off and fight one another.

Since they're in Thailand, Muay Thai kickboxing was the fighting style and the men were given some training, but still it made for some uncomfortable moments for Ashley, as the spectator.

Maybe she's not the kind of girl who likes to watch two guys fighting for her affection ... well, literally fighting. She obviously doesn't mind the concept of guys competing, or else she wouldn't be on this show.

Do They Really Have Sex on 'The Bachelor'? (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 16th 2010 2:26AM

The Bachelor, Sex, 20/20It's that question burning a hole in everyone's mind. Do the guys and girls on 'The Bachelor' really have sex? In a word, yes, as we learned on '20/20' ( Mon., 8PM ET on ABC).

But, really, it's not like that's a big shocker. A guy and a girl. Skimpy outfits. Champagne. Steamy hot tub ... um, no, they just look longingly at each other and call it good.

And who had the most sex out of all the bachelors? That would be Bob Guiney, who bedded down five and a half women. Wait, what? Five and a half?

Watch the video after the jump.
