by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 26th 2010 12:45AM
Oh, Addy. It'll be ok. You have to follow your heart, girl. And like you said, if you don't run towards this big career in front of you, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. It's too bad that Jason can't find a way to fit into your new life, but maybe it's just not meant to be. And if it is, you'll find your way back to each other. Is this helping at all? Ok, we'll just shut up and hand you a tissue.
For more tears and breakups and makeup sex, watch 'The Deep End' (Thu., 8PM ET on ABC).

Rowdy Plays Hardball With a Judge on 'The Deep End' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 19th 2010 2:20AM
Sometimes you have to play hardball with an old colleague to set things right in the world. That's just what Rowdy does on 'The Deep End' (Thu., 8PM ET on ABC) when he appeals to a judge who plans on keeping his client in prison. But he's innocent! Just like the kid who was innocent so many years ago, who ended up on death row even though someone else confessed to the crime later! Yeah, sometimes the justice system sucks.
Are you watching 'The Deep End'? Don't believe all the bad reviews, because it's quite entertaining.

Review: The Deep End - Pilot (series premiere)

(S01E01) "Are we supposed to love this job or hate it?" - Dylan Hewitt
I like this show! Let's face it. Grey's Anatomy is dying, and The Deep End is Grey's Anatomy (the early years, that is), only with lawyers. It's got plenty of snappy dialogue, romantic sparks, inter-office power struggles, handsome people in nice clothes, office sex, Black-Eyed Peas tunes and cupcakes! What's not to love?

Dollhouse - Friday January 22, 8 pm, Global/Fox
EDITOR'S NOTE: The 'Dollhouse' finale has been postponed to January 29th. The Haiti fundraising telethon will air in its place.
While most TV viewers are excited about the new shows starting up, Joss Whedon fans are taking it on the chin again as 'Dollhouse' comes to a close. But there are some signs the show may live on, as 'Buffy' and 'Angel' did before it, in the world of comic books. At the very least, fans can tease themselves with trips to a couple of viral websites where Echo's world lives on. Check out the site for the Rossum Corporation, a rebel Ditch the Tech site, the issues-driven Not A Doll site and of course, get all the updates at Joss-central - Whedonesque.com.
The Show Girl Sounds Off on 'The Deep End,' 'Archer,' '24' and 'Nip/Tuck' - VIDEO
by Maggie Furlong, posted Jan 15th 2010 1:30PM
You've got questions? I've got answers. I'm The Show Girl! This week, I have a preview of ABC's new legal dramedy 'The Deep End' -- which is sort of like 'Grey's Anatomy' at a law firn -- straight from stars Billy Zane and Tina Majorino. I also get funny lady Aisha Tyler to beg another 'Arrested Development' alum (they already have two!) to come on her new animated comedy 'Archer.'
Then there's Katee Sackhoff. She's officially my new favorite actress, and now she's on '24,' but her answer to my sort of controversial 'Nip/Tuck' question -- why did they get all soap opera-y and keep your character but replace you with Rose McGowan? -- is equal parts lovely and hilarious.
Want more? Email me TV questions at TheTVShowGirl@aol.com -- who knows, I might just give you an answer on the show. Now watch, enjoy and come back next week for more. Until then, happy TV watching! -- By Maggie Furlong

ABC's 'Deep End' to Premiere Jan. 21
by Scott Harris, posted Dec 10th 2009 10:33AM
If fans of ABC's mind-bending sci-fi series 'FlashForward' sometimes feel like the show's labyrinthine plot is having an affect on their sanity, there's bad news, because the network is about to send viewers completely off 'The Deep End.'According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC has scheduled the premiere of their new drama 'The Deep End' for Thursday, January 21, in the time slot normally belonging to 'FlashForward.' That's because the network also recently announced that the struggling time-travel mystery has had its second half debut pushed back to March, leaving a gap in the lineup.

by Jane Boursaw, posted Sep 3rd 2009 11:03AM
I'm sort of glad to hear that Mehcad Brooks is leaving HBO's True Blood to join the cast of ABC's midseason legal drama The Deep End. At least, I hope that's what it means. Between his character Benedict "Eggs" Talley, whiny Tara Thornton, and shaky Maryann Forrester, I won't be sorry to see that whole storyline come to an end. And if my recent conversation with Alan Ball means what I think it means, Brooks probably won't be returning. Well, maybe. Stay tuned for that interview.
ABC orders more high-concept dramas
by Mike Moody, posted May 18th 2009 1:25PM
It looks like ABC is prepping Flash Forward to eventually succeed Lost, which is slated to end next season. Flash Forward, a mythology-laden show based on a Robert J. Sawyer novel, is only one of six new dramas the network has ordered for next fall.Continuing its trend of green lighting quirky, high-concept shows, ABC is moving ahead with V, a revamp of the 1980s sci-fi series/miniseries, and Eastwick, a character-centric drama based on the John Updike novel and the Jack Nicholson movie, The Witches of Eastwick. Actor Paul Gross will play the Nicholson role on Eastwick.
