'Real Housewives': Sheree's Lawyer Schooled by Her Ex in Court (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 14th 2011 6:28AM
'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'With a new lawyer in tow, Sheree Whitfield walked into the courtroom for her child support battle with her ex-husband Bob on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' (Tue., 9PM ET on Bravo). Phaedra Parks was a little wary of representing Sheree because she hadn't fully paid two previous attorneys (she didn't feel they did a good enough job).

After convincing Sheree to not flaunt her wealth with her style in court, Parks was ready. It turned out to be good advice, because Bob was not only dressed way down, he was there representing himself. Parks said this was to emphasize how much poorer he is -- Bob was petitioning to lower his child support expectations.

NeNe Leakes Admits 'Housewives' Drama Is Draining, But She Can't Quit It (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Dec 7th 2011 8:00PM
It's not everyday that NeNe Leakes appears on TV in a reflective mood, getting along well with a group of women. But Wednesday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) the 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star dropped the fiestiness that's become her reality TV trademark, and had an honest discussion about some of the perils of the 'Housewives' genre.

Aisha Tyler had a few questions about the constantly combative, drama-drenched nature of the show. "Doesn't it get exhausting, fighting all the time?" she asked. "Very exhausting, it's very negative, I'm so tired," Leakes replied. "It's very entertaining though, don't ya think?" Tyler asked the logical follow-up question. "It's entertaining, but do you ever feel like, 'I don't want to do this anymore?'" Leakes exhaled and thought for a moment, and then admitted, "Sometimes, yeah."

Sheree Makes One Last Plea for Child Support on 'Real Housewives' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 5th 2011 4:30AM
'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'Child support is a pretty simple concept. If you break up with the parent of your child and they are the primary caretaker, then you need to help out financially. You helped make the kid, you help take care of it. But, as we saw on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' (Sun., 9PM ET on Bravo), some people just don't get it.

In the case of Bob, he struggled to comprehend why he needed to pay Sheree anything because she was doing okay financially. In his mind, because he provides a home for them when they're with him, his obligations are covered. This may be true if the kids lived with him 50 percent of the time.

Or if it wasn't Sheree providing most of their necessities like clothing and food. When she told him her next recourse was the courts, Bob said, "Do it." So she did -- throw water on him, that is.

Peter Tries to Start Some Drama With Apollo on 'Real Housewives' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 21st 2011 6:00AM
'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'The ladies aren't the only ones who are getting all catty and gossipy on the Bravo 'Housewives' franchise. Peter let loose some trash talk in an interview on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' (Sun., 9PM ET on Bravo), so you know things were going to get tense when he and Cynthia showed up for Kim's baby shower.

They didn't even bring a gift, unless the gift was Peter stirring up trouble with Apollo, who was sitting right next to him. Apollo was clearly tense, as he was none too pleased with Peter trashing his wife, but Peter seems to want to get into a fight.

'Housewives' Sheree and Kim Think 'Apprentice' Made NeNe Delusional (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 14th 2011 6:30AM
Sheree, 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'According to Kim and Sheree, NeNe's time on 'The Celebrity Apprentice' has really changed her, and not necessarily for the better. Kim pointed out on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' (Sun., 9PM ET on Bravo) that NeNe's been going off on some of her co-stars from that show. Stars that Kim thinks of as A-Listers, like LaToya Jackson, Star Jones and Dionne Warwick.

Sheree said that NeNe is now butting heads with virtually everyone she knows, and worries that she's letting her new-found notoriety, thanks to Donald Trump, go to her head.

"She really needs to humble herself, because as fast as you go up, you can come down," Sheree said. "Just like on a stripper pole."

NeNe Vs. Sheree on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 4 Premiere (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 7th 2011 7:25AM
'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' S04/E01Just when you might be in danger of pining for the table-flippers of New Jersey, we got to welcome back the wig-pullers from Georgia. Last night's Season 4 premiere of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' (Sun., 10PM ET on BRAVO) got off to an explosive start as NeNe Leakes got into a verbal battle with Sheree Whitfield over past money issues.

Believing that NeNe's been double-dealing behind her back, Sheree called Tyrone, who'd promoted one of their joint events. Putting him on speakerphone Sheree asked him for his version of what went down in Philly. Which, of course, NeNe disputed.

And that's when it all kicked off. NeNe claimed to be so rich already that she didn't need to shortchange her fellow 'Housewife': "While you were running your mouth off to him I was running to the bank. To deposit a check. A Donald Trump check." Take that, sweetie!

'Real Housewives' Looks Back at Kandi's Big Year at the Grammys (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 31st 2011 6:15AM
Kandi Buruss, 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'By now, we're used to the bloated reunion specials for the various 'Real Housewives' series. But 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' (Sun., 10PM ET on Bravo) is upping the ante with a prequel special to the new season. 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Before They Were Stars' promised to spotlight every detail of their pasts, so that we might better know who they are before they start getting catty and sniping at one another in next week's premiere.

NeNe came clean about her past as a stripper, all the girls showed off their "fantastic" (yikes!) hairstyles of years gone by, and we got a reminder that Kandi Burruss is and has been a pretty big presence in the music industry.

Andy Cohen on Jersey Housewives, 'Top Chef,' and Being the Face of Bravo

by Joel Keller, posted Mar 18th 2010 2:02PM
Andy Cohen of BravoWhen NBC Universal had their all-star party at the January press tour, I got a chance to talk to Andy Cohen of Bravo. Who's Andy Cohen? Many of you who follow Bravo's reality shows may know him as "the reunion guy," who hosts all the reunion shows at the end of each season. Others may know him from the talk show 'Watch What Happens Live,' which debuted last summer and discusses the week in the world of Bravo and beyond.

But Cohen has a day job: as the network's senior vice president of original programming and development, he's largely been responsible for bringing shows like 'Top Chef,' 'Project Runway,' 'Flipping Out,' 'The Real Housewives' series and others to the network. So he's the perfect guy to talk to about the mishegas going on with the Jersey Housewives as they shoot their second season, fluky edits on the finale of 'Top Chef,' and whatever he could say about the Salahis, who crashed a White House dinner while being recruited for 'The Real Housewives of D.C.' Our talk is after the jump.

The Twelve Days of Festivus: Twelve shows a'stinkin'!

by Brad Trechak, posted Dec 12th 2009 10:00AM
HeroesOn the twelfth day of Festivus, TV gave to me ... twelve shows a'stinkin'!

Being the endless wasteland that it is, television has no shortage of bad product. Mind you, "bad" is always a matter of opinion. This year saw the end of According to Jim after eight years of decent ratings while in terms of quality it lasted about seven years too long. What follows is my own opinion and at the end of each item in the list, I will quote everybody's favorite critic, Jay Sherman.

12. Heroes – This show was great in the first season, then with only brief glimpses of greatness in the later seasons, the writers and the network proceeded to dump it in the trash, rub it around some sewage and finally make it have a one night stand with Andy Dick. IT STINKS!

Kim Zolciak's 911 Call Played on 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Special (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Dec 11th 2009 10:55AM
On last night's lost footage special of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' audio of Kim Zolciak's 911 call from last July was played, in which she claimed to have been choked by NeNe Leakes during the filming of the show's second season.

On the recording, Zolciak requests assistance from police. The "Atlanta' housewife eventually filed a police report, but didn't seek a restraining order so filming of the show could continue.

Leno Weekly: Paranormal Activity, 2012, Rachael Ray and more!

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 6th 2009 3:02PM
The Wanda Sykes ShowGood news, everyone! The Jay Leno Show was funny this week. There were some funny guests, genuinely funny comedy correspondent moments, and another Real Housewives quiz show, this time with the ladies from Atlanta.

Jay even managed to get a quick jab in to the bosses at NBC during an archery "Earn Your Plug" with Wanda Sykes. "This is NBC," he said to her. "I'm used to getting shot in the back." I've grown to respect Leno during his 10 o'clock experiment. He's a trouper doing what NBC is paying him to do, but you can tell he thinks the whole situation's about as screwed up as we do.

Even better, there were only two "10 @ 10" segments and no "Green Car Challenge" races, which allowed for more room to bring on Frank Calliendo and Sebastian Maniscalco to do stand-up routines. This is what I was expecting Leno to be doing, showcasing comedy rather than driving around a track trying not to hit Al Gore.

The best thing you'll see all day: Real Housewife Kim Zolciak performing Tardy for the Party

by Kona Gallagher, posted Nov 5th 2009 7:00PM
I don't actually watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but as I have a pulse and an internet connection, I am all to aware of housewife Kim Zolciak and her uh, club jam, "Tardy for the Party." For those of you who may not be totally up on the whole Atlanta saga, Kim is the one who's dating a married man named Big Papa and wears a wig, which she said was due to a battle with cancer-- until she admitted that she had never actually had cancer; she just thought she might one time until she actually went to the doctor.

So anyway, The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, hosted by Bravo exec Andy Cohen, is airing on Thursday, and part of the festivities involve Kim singing her "hit." You guys, there are two important items to note about this performance: 1) she has dancers and 2) she is not lip-synching.

Have you ever had a drunken friend or relative get up and sing a really inappropriate karaoke song, and you just smiled uncomfortably and prayed for it to be over quickly? This is like that-- except it is most definitely not over quickly.

'Atlanta' Housewife Kim Zolciak Forgets John McCain's Name on 'Jay Leno' (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Nov 4th 2009 10:51AM
On 'The Jay Leno Show,' Kim Zolciak of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' has a blonde moment and forgets the name of John McCain during a trivia segment.

Zolciak struggles gamely to recall the name of the Republican nominee in the 2008 U.S. presidential election, but ultimately has to rely upon fellow 'Atlanta' co-star Kandi Burruss for the answer.
