Tyra Banks, Hairstylist (VIDEO)

Would you trust Tyra Banks to cut your hair? Would you let her do it if you were a guest on her show? That's the question facing the guests on the most recent episode of 'The Tyra Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Banks did a series of "girl power" makeovers, which involved cutting one guest's hair fairly radically. "So I'm going to cut you at a jagged angle," she said. "... Okay?" Um, okay.Watch the video after the jump.
Tyra goes from syndication to the CW. Which one is better?
by Richard Keller, posted Nov 24th 2008 5:05PM
I think you can place this under the 'Well, duh!' category of programming decisions. Though, I'm not too sure it's the right choice. That's where you come in: I need you to give me some sense as to if the following move is a good idea or not.
See, Tyra Banks, who is the host of the CW's America's Next Top Model, also has a syndicated talk show called The Tyra Banks Show. The daytime talker has been around for four seasons now and has received fairly respectable numbers. Now, in agreement with the talk show's distributor, the program will be taken off of the syndication market after this season and added to the CW daytime lineup starting in 2009. There, it will make double weekday runs at 3:00 and 4:00 pm.
Cat fight! Janice Dickinson trashes Tyra Banks
by Kristin Sample, posted May 19th 2008 12:03PM
Page Six is reporting that Janice Dickinson is pissed at Tyra Banks. Apparently, Banks was photographed holding Dickinson's book No Lifeguard on Duty. In the book, the self-proclaimed "World's First Supermodel" talks about her drug abuse, the incest that plagued her childhood, sex, and affairs with celebrities. When Banks was photographed holding the book, she was allegedly on her way to speak to a crowd of young girls and offer her wisdom (as only Tyra can do). Dickinson told Page Six: "And she's using my book. I mean, the thing looks so worn it's like she's been reading it on the toilet. It's pathetic. Where's her originality? Does she have no shame?"
Shall she dance? Hillary invited to Dancing with the Stars
by Allison Waldman, posted Feb 12th 2008 8:17PM
As the race between Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Barak Obama heats up for the Democratic party presidential candidacy, here comes news that should throw the spotlight onto Hillary...if she's savvy enough to say yes. During a recent visit to The Tyra Banks Show, Hillary revealed that "if (paired) with one of those really good partners" she would someday like to compete on Dancing with the Stars. When the powers that be at Dancing heard that, they wasted no time in sending the former first lady a formal invitation. While they acknowledge that the show is not currently in production, dancers from the show are performing around the country in Dancing with the Stars - The Tour. They invited Hillary to choose any one of the dancers and take a try at a cha cha, pasa doble or tango. Or, if she prefer, she could always call on hubby Bill for a pas de deux.Breaking Boob News: Tyra's are real

In an attempt to refute plastic surgery accusations (and hopefully bring in some viewers too...wink wink), Tyra Banks removed her bra during a recent taping of her new talk show, The Tyra Banks Show. But don't get too excited; she removed it under her shirt. She then had a plastic surgeon "examine her" to prove that her big, beautiful bosoms are indeed real. (Isn't that what Howard Stern does on his show?) Apparently, Tyra is fed up...fed up(!)...with people accusing her of having gummi bear boobs. The show, cleverly-titled, All About Breasts will air on Tuesday, September 20th. Anna Nicole Smith and her super boobs will also be on the show and will be receiving a humanitarian award for her recent work in New Orleans. Last week, Anna Nicole (just one of many celebrities to aide in the Hurricane Katrina aftermath) made headlines when she rescued a stranded family of five by balancing them on her large bosoms and their pet chihuahua on her head. Tyra will be showing clips of Anna Nicole's daring rescue. (I kid, I kid) TV Squad Hot Topics
