Thia Megia
It's a Double Elimination on the 'American Idol' Results Show (VIDEO)

There's something fishy going on this season on 'American Idol' (Thu., 8PM ET on FOX). There's a pattern forming with these eliminations that could prove very disconcerting for certain remaining contestants. As established last night, because of the Judges' save of Casey Abrams last week, not one but two contestants will get to see their video package as their time on 'Idol' comes to an end. The good news is, they'll both get to go on tour, but for now their time on the show is coming to an end.
It was a little strange that Ryan Seacrest still trimmed us to a Bottom 3. From there, he simply announced that one of them was safe and eliminated the other two at the same time. Which one is in 11th place, Ryan? Who got more votes, but still not enough?
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
'American Idol': Thia Megia Earns Comparisons to Michael Jackson (VIDEO)

From the moment we first saw her, there was a maturity to fifteen-year old Thia Megia's talent and presence on stage. On the semi-final round of 'American Idol' (Wed., 8PM ET on FOX), she sang Irene Cara's 'Out Here on My Own' and her poise and grace had the audience eating out of her hands.Megia's voice is smooth perfection, gentle and flawless with each note. "Sometimes a person's pitch can be so perfect, it doesn't matter what song they sing," Steven Tyler said.
Randy Jackson took it a step further, with a comparison to another performer who was an amazing vocalist at an even younger age. "Your tone when we first heard you reminded me so much of the late, great Michael Jackson, and I love it," he told her. "It's infectious from the first note you sang."
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
America's Got Talent: Five selected for Top 20

(S04E14) Last night, twelve acts battled it out for your votes. Who will make it through to the semi-finals? We found out the first five tonight. But first, there was a big discussion about whether the last basket of Acrodunk actually went in last night. Piers said it didn't, and Sharon bet him $500 that it did. After the slo-mo replay, it was determined that it DID go in, and now Piers owes Sharon $500. Let's hope it goes to charity. Maybe a basketball camp for kids or something.
Nick introduced the acts, and I must say, there's quite a variety this season. I'm filling in for Isabelle on this review, and it's fun to see such a diverse group competing for the top prize.

(S04E13) "Tonight is opening night." - The HoffHere we go America, you now have control over America's Got Talent. And just based on the comments TV Squad readers left on my last three AGT posts, it's clear that viewers were not happy with the Top 40 selection and that they hoped the Simon Cowell curve ball would allow them to rectify the list and bring fan favorite Kari, Ciana and/or Tallan into the mix.
Did Simon throw the curve ball we wanted? Did the first Top 40 performers deliver? My two cents, and yours via comments, coming up!
