Tiger Woods and Elin Will DivorceThere will be no reconciliation for Tiger Woods and wife Elin Nordegren, according to 'Entertainment Tonight' (weeknights, syndicated). The most buzzed-about golfer and Nordegren are "in the final stages of working out a divorce agreement," sources tell 'ET' correspondent Kevin Frazier.

He goes on to say that apparently Woods hoped to take a family vacation once he'd finished playing in the Masters tournament. But Nordegren turned him down. Um... yeah. Does that surprise anyone?

Why Nike Deserves Cursing For Its Tiger Woods Ad

by Danny Gallagher, posted Apr 9th 2010 4:03PM
Nike's Tiger Woods adThe Tiger Woods story has become a beast that cannot be fed, no matter how many bloody human entrails you stuff in its perpetually open maw.

Tiger's never-ending reach for forgiveness and redemption has been more thoroughly covered than my late grandmother's living room couch. It's turned the news into a supermarket tabloid. It's turned 'SportsCenter' into a Lifetime made-for-TV movie.

And now, with Nike's new Tiger ad, it's turned commercials, my one measly break from this love-to-hate lovefest, into another creepy, lurid, sex-soaked look at a superstar's human indiscretions.

Jimmy Kimmel Makes His Own Tiger Woods Nike Ad (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 9th 2010 5:00AM
Jimmy Kimmel's Nike AdThe blogosphere is buzzing about Nike's latest ad, unveiled yesterday to commemorate Tiger Woods' return to the golf course. Most (arguably everyone) think it's bizarre and creepy. In the spot, Woods holds a 30-second stare-down with the camera while (in voice-over) his late father speaks to him from beyond the grave.

Jimmy Kimmel was surprised by the reaction. He told the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC) audience he had done a well received "similar commercial a few years ago with Uncle Frank after I had sex with 14 women and crashed into a tree." Cue the black-and-white "commercial," Kimmel's deadpan stare and a distant voice saying, "This's your Uncle Frank... Good job, Jim, good job. Jimmmmy, I love you." Not at all creepy. Simply hilarious.

Tiger Woods Nike Commercial: Manipulative or Moving?

Why Nike Deserves Kudos For Its Tiger Ad

by Joel Keller, posted Apr 8th 2010 2:08PM
Nike is kind of like the Microsoft of the athletic world; often derided and criticized, but wildly successful for reasons no one wants to acknowledge. For instance, I constantly keep buying Nike basketball shoes, even though I know that they're too narrow for my clodhopper feet, because they just look so damned cool.

One of the things they've been able to do so well is put together compelling advertising. And, after the Tiger Woods mess spilled all over the media landscape, there was likely a large segment of those watchers who were wondering what Woods' largest sponsor would do to address the mess. Would they meet it head on or try to avoid the issue?

Well, the met it head on, and in the best way possible. Here is the new Nike ad with Woods, debuting during last night ahead of the Masters:

by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 6th 2010 9:55AM
Bob CostasBob Costas stopped by 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' (weeknights at 12:37AM ET on NBC) and weighed in on Tiger Woods' road to recovery. The veteran sportscaster said given Woods' situation, yesterday's press conference was the best the golfer could do.

"If he's going to go forward, he was about as forthright as somebody could be in that situation today," Costas said.

However, Costas dispelled the idea that Woods picked the Masters Golf Tournament because he was sure to win it. "I think the main reason he chose the Masters is that it's the most controlled environment in all of sports, not just golf, in all of sports."

What to Watch: March 29 - April 4

by Stephanie Earp, posted Mar 29th 2010 2:29AM

Biography: Tiger Woods
- Thursday April 1, 8 pm, Biography Channel

When illustrious personages reach a certain age or notoriety, it is common practice in the media to have an obituary ready and written in case of sudden death. I imagine Michael Jackson falls into this category, and I know when I was at a magazine, a certain low-voiced newsman was our main worry. I would suspect the Biography Channel's eponymous show works the same way so I'm surprised it took this long to get a Tiger Woods episode on the air. Interviews with himself, his late father, Wayne Gretzky, Lance Armstrong and Michael Jordan pepper the episode, and is timed perfectly for Woods' return at the Masters this April.

Sandra Bullock's famous husband has been in hot water since it was revealed that he allegedly cheated on the actress. Now, to make matters worse, 'Inside Edition' (weekdays, syndicated) has the scoop that James has allegedly had an affair with yet another woman.

Michelle "Bombshell" McGee (who has our favorite name ever) was the first woman to come forward and claim that she had an affair with James. Since then, other woman have come forward. And now, on 'Inside Edition,' a model named Brigitte Daguerre alleges that she slept with Bullock's husband as well. According to the story, Daguerre slept with James four times, and exchanged 195 text messages and e-mails with him.

Cheating on your spouse is a terrible idea. Leaving endless traceable text messages and e-mails about an affair seems like an even worse idea. What do you think?

It's brilliant, really. Put the battling couple on a golf course, arm them with golf clubs, and include game points for endorsements and the almighty Pre-Nup Power-Up!

We're sure if the boys play long enough, Tiger's women will make an appearance, too.
