by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 3rd 2011 5:33AM
Katie Holmes, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Sometimes there are some great perks when filming a movie. During shooting for 'Jack & Jill,' Katie Holmes got to spend some time on an amazing luxury cruise ship. She told Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) all about the carousel, theater, skating rink and zip lines.

"It was kind of the best ten days," she said. "I was like, 'Really? Do we have to leave?'"

But when asked, she did not take advantage of the zip line. She made up some stuff about not wanting to fall on the pretty umbrella at Johnny Rockets -- also on the ship -- but Leno called her out on the truth. "You wimped out," he said.

Katie Holmes Is the Supportive Wife When Tom Cruise Does His Own Stunts (VIDEO)

Katie Holmes Talks Tom Cruise Stunts on 'Kimmel'Jimmy Kimmel told Katie Holmes that her husband Tom Cruise "might be the nicest person that has ever walked through the doors of this theater," but he's pretty crazy. Kimmel wasn't referring to couch-jumping; he was talking about how the actor does so many of his own stunts.

Last time Cruise appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), he and Kimmel soared over Hollywood Blvd. on a zip line. "I was like a corpse put in a potato sack on a clothes line," recalled Kimmel.

The host then showed photos of Cruise -- barefoot -- atop Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the tallest man-made structure in the world. Cruise perched carefree at 2,717 feet for 'Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol.'

Regarding the stunt, Holmes told her husband she "loved it" but in reality she was "terrified. I wanted to throw up."

Tom Cruise Almost Ate Tarmac on 'Top Gear' Test Track

by Danny Gallagher, posted Jul 28th 2010 5:12AM
Tom Cruise in the reasonably priced car on BBC's 'Top Gear' has done something that no other show in the history of television has been able to accomplish. They made celebrity interviews interesting.

Stars don't go to 'Top Gear' to plug their latest movie or second series that's barely hanging by a thread. They are there to compete. They are there to crush their fellow celebrities in a high-fueled, high-octane competition of mortal combat. They are there to dominate one another in a purely non-sexual way (for once).

Things can, however, get a little heated on the track and we're not just talking about the weather. More than a few "Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car" have almost rolled the car while doing their power lap. But Tom Cruise wins the award for the scariest moment on "Top Gear" since the boys dared to test the razor thin sense of humor of the residents of Bagdad, Ala.

Tom Cruise and Jimmy Kimmel Fly Through the Air for Some Eggs (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 28th 2010 12:40AM
Tom Cruise and Jimmy Kimmel Fly Through the Air for Some EggsTom Cruise appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05 AM ET on ABC), where he attempted to teach the host how to make his famous spaghetti carbonara. But while showing Jimmy Kimmel how to cook the pasta dish, Cruise suddenly became displeased that there were only store-bought eggs available. So he decided to pop outside to get some farm-fresh eggs -- and he took Kimmel along with him.

How were they to get to the eggs? Why, by riding on a zip-line that was placed on top of the studio. (Very conveniently placed on top of the studio, we might add. Almost as though the whole thing was planned or something.) So then, Cruise and Kimmel flew across the street on thin wires that were suspended several stories in the air. All just to get some fresh eggs.

Next, once they had the eggs in hand, they had to do the whole thing again -- in reverse.

Tom Cruise Talks J.Lo's Butt Slap During MTV Movie Awards Dance (VIDEO)

Cruise Talks J.Lo's Butt Slap in Les Grossman DanceTom Cruise has already shared how it came about that his slimy 'Tropic Thunder' character Les Grossman did the "cane dance" with Jennifer Lopez on the MTV Movie Awards. However, never before has he been grilled about one specific aspect of the dance routine -- the butt slapping.

Well, wonder no more, as Jay Leno got to the, er, bottom of things when Cruise visited 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). "Now whose idea was it, having her slap your ass, it was your idea?" Leno inquired.

"That was my idea -- it's Les, it's Les!" said Cruise.
"Now was there a lot of practice in that?" teased Leno. "Because you're obviously turning red, there's more to the story."

"No, there's no more, there's no more to the story. It's a character!" responded Cruise. Leno continued to needle the actor before Cruise (though still grinning) said, "See, you're turning this into something." Okay, Tom, calm down. He's just kidding around. Geez.

"In your new film ... you have a few scenes where you're coming out of the water just wearing a little -- you know [she motions to her waist] -- and your workouts have certainly paid off," Joy said.

This didn't sit well with Regis and he badgered her about looking at Cruise's body.

Tom Cruise vs. Chris Rock and Joshua JacksonA few weeks ago, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and Chris Rock all showed up at the National Movie Awards in England.
