by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 2nd 2011 5:45AM
Tracy Morgan, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'A conversation behind-the-scenes spilled out onto 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC) when Jimmy Fallon brought up the latest 'Apes' remake, 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes.' Guest Tracy Morgan was not a fan.

"Something made me-- to the point where I couldn't feel for a computer-generated monkey," he said. "I couldn't. I'm old school."

He then started to show just how old school he is, by reciting the names of multiple characters from the original film, and then slipping into dialogue from the Heston version. Eventually, he was up and rocking back and forth like an ape, declaring that "the only good human is a dead human!"

Rosie O'Donnell Talks Homophobia, Bullying With Tracy Morgan (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 25th 2011 12:30AM
Tracy Morgan, 'The Rosie Show'Rosie O'Donnell has been friends with Tracy Morgan a long time. When he appeared on her new talk show, 'The Rosie Show' (Weeknights, 7PM ET on OWN), she defended his character, saying, "I know you're not homophobic, because News Flash! I'm a lesbian."

They were, of course, talking about Morgan's controversial live show in which he was accused of being homophobic for comments he made. I felt hurt because the people who were at my show were hurt, "I don't pride myself on hurting anyone with the mic. That's so easy to do."

The cast and crew have been hard at work on Season 6 for a few weeks and they recently hit the streets to film on location.

From the looks of the photos, guest star Denise Richards will be paired with Tracy Morgan's character, Tracy Jordan.

Another guest actor, 'X-Men' star James Marsden, was also on set that day. No word on who he'll be playing, but it could be a new love interest for Tina Fey's character.

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 11th 2011 4:30AM
Tracy Morgan, 'Late Show'Tracy Morgan had a rough summer, twice offending people with comments he made during his live stand-up shows. He talked about the apologies he made on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), where David Letterman said he was on Morgan's side.

"I apologized because people came to the show and they paid money and they got upset about it," Morgan said. "That wasn't my intention to hurt anybody with my humor."

He went on to say, "We live in a really sensitive time right now." Morgan is insistent that he's not homophobic, and further stated that he doesn't recall exactly what was said in that particular show that offended someone.

Emmys Reveal Lots of New, But Familiar, Faces at 'The Office' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 19th 2011 1:21AM
Jason Momoa, 'The 2011 Emmy Awards'By now, everyone knows that Steve Carell has left the building, and James Spader has joined the cast of 'The Office,' but as we saw on 'The 2011 Emmy Awards' (Sun., 8PM ET on FOX), Spader isn't the only new person getting face time at Dunder-Mifflin.

In a very fun video, we got to see a who's who of television in that familiar office chair where the castmembers from the show do their confessionals.

They were all talking about what they hated about their jobs, like Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) hating rapists, sex trafficking and crimes against children -- this is a much darker take for 'The Office.'

Husband Wants His Wife to Dress Sexier on 'The Marriage Ref' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 5th 2011 2:17AM
Tracy Morgan, 'The Marriage Ref'A couple in their 60s came onto 'The Marriage Ref' (Sun., 10PM ET on NBC) with a dispute about her sexiness. Particularly, the husband wanted his wife to dress sexier and "basically do what I do, and that is to try to look your best all the time."

The video package showed the man working out faithfully -- with a Thighmaster to Tom Papa's delight -- and trying to put his wife in a skimpy red dress. After 40+ years of marriage, the panel just couldn't see why he wasn't satisfied with his wife as she was.

Susie Essman said, "She looks great to me. He's trying to make her feel bad about herself."

Tracy Morgan disagreed with that, applauding the man for still seeing his wife as this vivacious woman who can pull off a sultry little number like that, but agreed that she was beautiful just the way she is.

Tina Fey and NBC Chief Condemn Tracy Morgan's Homophobic Rant

by PopEater Staff, posted Jun 13th 2011 4:50AM
Tina FeyTracy Morgan has apologized after he reportedly indulged in a homophobic and sexist rant during a recent standup show in Nashville. The '30 Rock' star said he "clearly went too far and was not funny in any context."

Now Morgan's '30 Rock' boss and co-star, Tina Fey, says she didn't think it was funny either. In a statement to TMZ.com, she said she was glad Morgan had apologized, but admitted it was "disturbing."

"The violent imagery of Tracy's rant was disturbing to me at a time when homophobic hate crimes continue to be a life-threatening issue for the GLBT Community," she said. "It also doesn't line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person.

She concluded pointedly: "I hope for his sake that Tracy's apology will be accepted as sincere by his gay and lesbian co-workers at '30 Rock', without whom Tracy would not have lines to say, clothes to wear, sets to stand on, scene partners to act with, or a printed-out paycheck from accounting to put in his pocket."

Tracy Morgan Apologizes for Homophobic Rant

by PopEater Staff, posted Jun 10th 2011 1:00PM
Tracy MorganAfter Tracy Morgan's latest standup gig went too far -- the actor went on a homophobic rant and called it comedy -- Morgan is copping to his controversial comments and issued an apology through his representative to The Huffington Post.

"I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville," Morgan said. "I'm not a hateful person and don't condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context."

The alleged rant in question was first reported by a Facebook user, Kevin Rogers, who attended Morgan's standup show last week: "He said if his son that was gay he better come home and talk to him like a man and not [he mimicked a gay, high pitched voice] or he would pull out a knife and stab that little N (one word I refuse to use) to death," Rogers wrote.

Tracy Morgan Talks Michelle Obama on 'Lopez Tonight'When a randy Tracy Morgan visited 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), he demonstrated the freedom of speech we have under the First Amendment. Because surely if we didn't have that right, he'd be in big trouble right now.

Morgan recalled his experience at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Apparently First Lady Michelle Obama greeted him, and he "got hard."

"Michelle looked like a tall mountain, and I'm gonna climb it just 'cause it's there," Morgan said. George Lopez seemed stunned, but he and the studio audience laughed at the joke.

Tracy Morgan and Sherri Shepherd on 'The View'Sherri Shepherd plays Tracy Morgan's wife on '30 Rock,' and got a pretty good look at him on an episode where Morgan had to come out in nothing but a robe and undies. When Morgan appeared on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC), Shepherd claimed that Morgan kept stuffing his pants during filming, but he begged to differ.

"That wasn't stuffed!" Morgan proclaimed. "That's me. You know I'm magically delicious. I don't create nothing but stalkers." Shepherd laughed and looked embarrassed, and eventually apologized to Morgan, which made Whoopi Goldberg laugh even harder and point out that Shepherd was sweating.

'Daily Show' guest Tracy Morgan must have been watching in the dressing room, because when he joined Stewart onstage, Morgan had a message for The Donald. "I just want to reply to the Donald Trump thing," Morgan said. "Donald, I got [Obama's birth] certificate. It ain't in Hawaii, it's in Brooklyn. Come and get it if you want to see it."

Oprah's 'SNL' All-Stars Show: Tracy Morgan Thanks Jane Curtin and Chevy Chase for Making His Father Laugh After Vietnam (VIDEO)

Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Dana Carvey, Jane Curtin, and Chevy Chase on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'Tracy Morgan is known as a good talk-show guest, mainly for his freewheeling comic style. Today on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated), he provided an emotional moment on a 'Saturday Night Live All-Stars' show that also included Tina Fey, Dana Carvey, Jane Curtin and Chevy Chase.

Winfrey prompted Morgan to share the story of his father, a Vietnam veteran and a fan of the original 'SNL.'

Morgan pointed at Curtain and Chase and thanked them. "I remember my father coming from Vietnam," Morgan said. "He had went through that and he wasn't laughing much. And then one night in 1975 he turned on 'Saturday Night Live' and ... I'd never heard my father laugh like that."

Curtin and Chase seemed touched by Morgan's gesture. It looked like something Morgan had perhaps wanted to say for a while.

Preview: 'The Comedy Awards' on Comedy Central

Stpehen Colbert and Jon Stewart on 'The Comedy Awards'
People in the entertainment industry love to give each other awards... except for the folks in the world of comedy.

There could be a couple of reasons for it: Most comedians would rather make fun of awards shows than be a part of one. And with comedians being a generally self-deprecating group, self-back-patting has never been in their DNA. It's probably why there hasn't been any major comedy awards show since 2001, when the American Comedy Awards went kaput after 14 years.

But Comedy Central knows comedy should be rewarded, which is why it's giving out the first annual Comedy Awards tonight at 9PM ET (it airs on Comedy Central, Spike TV, CMT, Logo, TV Land, VH1 and Nick at Nite). Because the ceremony was taped on March 26, there are plenty of live blogs out there to tell you what to expect. Some highlights, and preview clips, after the jump.

Tracy Morgan & Neve Campbell, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'If you see a celebrity, are there any boundaries you would not cross to get an autograph? If so, then you are apparently unlike a number of other people, as revealed on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). Apparently the most popular place to ask for an autograph is at a celebrity's most vulnerable.

When they're using the bathroom. That's where Neve Campbell says was her oddest fan encounter.

"Someone knocked on the cubicle and handed some paper and a pen underneath the cubicle and asked me for an autograph," she said.
