Tracy Morgan Didn't Like 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes,' Is an Old-School 'Apes' Fan (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 2nd 2011 5:45AM
Tracy Morgan, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'A conversation behind-the-scenes spilled out onto 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC) when Jimmy Fallon brought up the latest 'Apes' remake, 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes.' Guest Tracy Morgan was not a fan.

"Something made me-- to the point where I couldn't feel for a computer-generated monkey," he said. "I couldn't. I'm old school."

He then started to show just how old school he is, by reciting the names of multiple characters from the original film, and then slipping into dialogue from the Heston version. Eventually, he was up and rocking back and forth like an ape, declaring that "the only good human is a dead human!"

Rosie O'Donnell Talks Homophobia, Bullying With Tracy Morgan (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 25th 2011 12:30AM
Tracy Morgan, 'The Rosie Show'Rosie O'Donnell has been friends with Tracy Morgan a long time. When he appeared on her new talk show, 'The Rosie Show' (Weeknights, 7PM ET on OWN), she defended his character, saying, "I know you're not homophobic, because News Flash! I'm a lesbian."

They were, of course, talking about Morgan's controversial live show in which he was accused of being homophobic for comments he made. I felt hurt because the people who were at my show were hurt, "I don't pride myself on hurting anyone with the mic. That's so easy to do."

Tracy Morgan Talks Homophobia Controversy on 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 11th 2011 4:30AM
Tracy Morgan, 'Late Show'Tracy Morgan had a rough summer, twice offending people with comments he made during his live stand-up shows. He talked about the apologies he made on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), where David Letterman said he was on Morgan's side.

"I apologized because people came to the show and they paid money and they got upset about it," Morgan said. "That wasn't my intention to hurt anybody with my humor."

He went on to say, "We live in a really sensitive time right now." Morgan is insistent that he's not homophobic, and further stated that he doesn't recall exactly what was said in that particular show that offended someone.

Emmys Reveal Lots of New, But Familiar, Faces at 'The Office' (VIDEO)

Jason Momoa, 'The 2011 Emmy Awards'By now, everyone knows that Steve Carell has left the building, and James Spader has joined the cast of 'The Office,' but as we saw on 'The 2011 Emmy Awards' (Sun., 8PM ET on FOX), Spader isn't the only new person getting face time at Dunder-Mifflin.

In a very fun video, we got to see a who's who of television in that familiar office chair where the castmembers from the show do their confessionals.

They were all talking about what they hated about their jobs, like Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) hating rapists, sex trafficking and crimes against children -- this is a much darker take for 'The Office.'

Husband Wants His Wife to Dress Sexier on 'The Marriage Ref' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 5th 2011 2:17AM
Tracy Morgan, 'The Marriage Ref'A couple in their 60s came onto 'The Marriage Ref' (Sun., 10PM ET on NBC) with a dispute about her sexiness. Particularly, the husband wanted his wife to dress sexier and "basically do what I do, and that is to try to look your best all the time."

The video package showed the man working out faithfully -- with a Thighmaster to Tom Papa's delight -- and trying to put his wife in a skimpy red dress. After 40+ years of marriage, the panel just couldn't see why he wasn't satisfied with his wife as she was.

Susie Essman said, "She looks great to me. He's trying to make her feel bad about herself."

Tracy Morgan disagreed with that, applauding the man for still seeing his wife as this vivacious woman who can pull off a sultry little number like that, but agreed that she was beautiful just the way she is.

'30 Rock' - 'Khonani' Recap

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 23rd 2010 11:45AM
(S04E18) "Well it was off for awhile because my fiance was on his dad's yacht and got captured by pirates, but now, thanks to the A-Team, he's back." - Cerie (on her upcoming wedding)

It was only a matter of time before '30 Rock' addressed the whole NBC late night debacle. With the way the network has been running things of late, it's getting downright easy to be a writer for this show. Set in a fictionalized version of the peacock, all the comedy material they could ever hope for is just handed to them.

'Law & Order' Again? Here Are 10 Better Ideas for You, NBC

by Stephanie Earp, posted Apr 20th 2010 7:51PM

I remember when 'Law & Order: SVU' debuted, there were a lot of joking articles asking what would be next, 'Law & Order: Pet Detectives'? There were also questions about how many of these shows an audience could really take, and so on and so forth, with the same humor (if you can call it that) applied to the 'CSI' and 'NCIS' franchises as they came along.

Well guess what, people? 'Law & Order' is doing it again. NBC has greenlit a fourth version of 'L&O' -- set in L.A. -- for a fall debut. The original and 'SVU' are also looking good for renewals, while 'Criminal Intent' airs on cable network USA and on NBC.

My mind is boggled by this news. At this point, when I watch 'L&O' it has the same sort of nostalgic feeling I used to get from old episodes of 'Little House on the Prairie'.

It's a not a simple, single-color garment, though. Instead, it's a cape with a fantasy image of a woman and a lion on a starry background.
