Nail salon owner Katie Cazorla has turned the Painted Nail into one of LA's favorite celebrity hot spots, and on the Series Premiere of 'Nail Files' (Tue., 10PM ET on TVGN) we got to see one of her celebrity clients, rapper Too $hort, getting the red carpet treatment when he stopped by for a pedicure.

An excited Cazorla starts to give the person with their finger on the TV Guide Network censor button a busy night, exclaiming, "I need to go over and be Too $hort's b****! No doubt about it."

In her attempts to impress Too $hort, Cazorla pulls out all the stops. First, she treats him to a special nail salon rap she's written in his honor, which goes like this: "The owner's smart and she's really witty, but I really want her to whip out her t****."

In case that's not enough to impress her special guest, Cazorla then pulls out her trump card: "I can make my a** clap!"

The TV Guide Network seems to be really trying to increase their original content, and they seem to be doing it the right way. And I'm not saying it because I've appeared on the channel. No, it's because they're really trying to go beyond just having listings scroll on the bottom of the screen and presenting red carpet arrival specials. They're acquiring shows, treating them right, and adding value to them.

Take the case of the network's acquisition of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.' Not only did the network decide to run each episode in its entirety in a one-hour timeslot, a good move considering that Larry David would have tore what's left of his hair out trying to edit them, they've decided to fill the hour with panel discussions that relate to the "issues" brought up during the episode.

Among the announced panelists are going to be Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Hamm, Seth Green, Rob Zonbie, Taraji P. Henson, Adam Carolla and Patti Stanger (yes, the 'Millionaire Matchmaker' herself will weigh in on 'Curb's' issues). The panels will be hosted by Susie Essman.

There's good news and bad news regarding the Glenn Close legal drama 'Damages.' The bad news is that FX has real concerns about picking up the show for another season because of the cost. The good news is that Sony has turned to DirecTV to co-broadcast 'Damages.'

If this sounds like a paradigm you've heard before, you have. Currently, DirecTV shares the broadcast rights to 'Friday Night Lights' with NBC. That's how the Peabody-award winning program has remained on the air.

The fourth season of 'Friday Night Lights' has already run on DirecTV's Channel 101 -- a fantastic season by the way -- and NBC will give present the same episodes again for a much larger audience when the show premieres on May 7. (Of course, NBC could have chosen a night other than Friday -- one of the least watched nights of the week -- but there are fans out there waiting for this quality TV show.)

'Britain's Got Talent' megastar Susan Boyle, known for her version of 'I Dreamed a Dream,' will now be the subject of an upcoming documentary, set to air on the TV Guide Channel.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network has purchased the broadasting rights to 'I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story,' a one-hour doc that focuses on Boyle's journey from a small village in Scotland to 'Talent' and beyond.

Boyle became an overnight sensation after her 'Dream' performance went viral in April. It has since been viewed over 300 times on the Internet worldwide.

Staying close to the Simon Cowell machine, FremantleMedia, talkbackTHAMES and Cowell's own Syco TV will produce the special.

If you don't already know her story, get ready to hear all about it. On December 13, the TV Guide Network will present a Susan Boyle special. An hour all about the unlikely Scottish singing sensation. I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story is a one-hour documentary/interview/performance special chronicling the rise of the Britain's Got Talent performer who became a You Tube phenom and has just released her first CD.

American Idol's Simon Cowell is the mastermind behind this production, which will also be broadcast in England on the ITV1. It'll have celebrity interviews including Simon himself, footage of Susan's hometown, her TV appearances till now, and -- naturally -- Susan singing songs from I Dreamed A Dream, the new CD.

One of the stranger quirks of the holidays on television is the way networks and channels program. Movie marathons have become very common, especially TBS's tradition of 24-hours of A Christmas Story. Now, another network is following in TBS's tradition by scheduling a movie marathon of its own. The TV Guide Network will present a 12-hour marathon of Dirty Dancing. That's right, the Patrick Swayze-Jennifer Grey drama musical.
