'Two and a Half Men': Meet Walden's Long Lost 'Brother' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 13th 2011 2:30AM
'Two and a Half Men' - 'One False Move, Zimbabwe!'As the revamped 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS) continues to roll forward, there was no forward movement on the Bridget front. Last seen jumping over the balcony with Charlie's ex Rose, whatever schemes she's up to will have to wait until another day.

For now, Walden's courtship of Zoe continues, as does the continued unveiling of his past. It's clear that Chuck Lorre and company are still having fun with the evolution of the new 'Two and a Half Men' as they did revamping the series in the first place.

With the introduction of his scientist mother came the revelation that Walden's imaginary childhood friend the gorilla was much more than that. His mother coordinated his birth to match the gorilla's, and then raised them together for four years.

Chuck Lorre: Revamping 'Two and a Half Men' Was Exciting (EXCLUSIVE)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Dec 12th 2011 11:55PM
TV Guide Magazine features Chuck Lorre & his starsThe very public battle between Charlie Sheen and his one-time 'Two and a Half Men' boss Chuck Lorre has been well-documented, but since relaunching his hit CBS series with Ashton Kutcher, Lorre hasn't said much about his former star's "winning" meltdown and subsequent replacement.

In the latest issue of TV Guide Magazine, which hits newsstands Thursday, Dec. 15, Lorre talks to editor Michael Schneider, who's been teasing that the man of many multi-cam sitcoms finally tells all.

But it's worth noting that it's Emmy winner Jon Cryer -- not the recently gossip-plagued Kutcher -- who's gracing the cover with Lorre, along with 'Mike & Molly' funny lady Melissa McCarthy and Jim Parsons of 'The Big Bang Theory,' who've both also taken home Emmy love for their Lorre-created roles. He must be doing something right ...

We've got the exclusive first tease of TV Guide Magazine's interview with Lorre, including why the revamp was so "exciting" and how life imitated art for hard-partying, goddess-worshipping Sheen, who'll forever be linked to (and compared to) his now-departed TV alter-ego Charlie Harper.

The Wrath of Bridget Scorned on 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 6th 2011 2:00AM
'Two and a Half Men'It's taken almost half the season, but could Walden Schmidt finally be ready to move on from Bridget on 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS)? Quite frankly, it's something the show is going to need to make happen if they want to be able to move forward with the character.

It certainly seemed to be the case after he threw the ring into the ocean -- "My precious!" -- and again this week when he had his new British bombshell join him for coffee and the signing of the divorce papers.

Only, as we see all too often on television, when it came finally time to make it official, someone got cold feet. This time, it was Bridget.

Twitter's Year in Review: Which TV Stars and Shows Were 'Hot Topics' in 2011?

by Catherine Lawson, posted Dec 5th 2011 8:25AM
It's that time of year again, when everyone starts looking back over the past year and compiles 'Best of' and 'Worst of' lists. Twitter's been unveiling its annual 'Year in Review' since Thursday and has just published its 'Hot Topics' lists.

Uber-Twitter user Charlie Sheen's clearly still winning online: Last week AOL announced that Sheen was our most searched-for celebrity in 2011, and now he's claimed the top spot in the Twitter "Actor" Hot Topic.

Plus, one of his stranger obsessions -- #tigerblood -- came in at Number 2 in the "Hashtags" category (just behind #egypt).

Check out who and what else made the cut after the jump.

Judy Greer Jokes About Her Roles on 'Archer' and 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)

by Stephanie Opella, posted Nov 28th 2011 7:30PM
Judy Greer went on 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) to talk about her new film 'The Descendants,' but Greg Kelly told her that he liked her best as the voice of Cheryl Tunt on FX's animated series 'Archer.' As she was describing Cheryl's penchant for being strangled during sex, Greg interrupted her with a strange, guttural noise. "That was weird," she joked, as Kelly laughed awkwardly.

Rosanna Scotto stepped in and changed the subject to 'Two and a Half Men.' Greer talked about playing Bridget, Walden Schmidt's ex-wife, who he's still pining for. Kelly seemed to find an on-screen romance between Greer and Ashton Kutcher hard to believe. "Ashton Kutcher is?" he asked incredulously.

Alan Tells Walden to Lose the Wedding Ring For His Date on 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 22nd 2011 5:45AM
'Two and a Half Men' - 'Fishbowl Full of Glass Eyes'Walden began the slow and painful process of moving on from Bridget and his failed marriage on 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS) and it's a welcome progression. But we're starting to wonder if this billionaire thing is going to become a problem for the writers.

It's a lot of fun having Alan lose his mind when Walden reluctantly gives him his wedding ring -- Alan advises him it's like Kryptonite when you're trying to date -- and he discovers its value is in the seven digits. But it's going to be continuously hard to imagine Walden not stepping in to help Alan out financially at some point.

CBS Chief Les Moonves Thinks 'Two and a Half Men' Could Last for 'Many Years'

by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 18th 2011 3:30PM
Les MoonvesYou could forgive CBS CEO Leslie Moonves for being a little stressed; after Charlie Sheen's acrimonious exit from 'Two and a Half Men' earlier this year, America's biggest sitcom was in serious danger of imploding, leaving the network wondering if they might have to slaughter their golden goose just to save face.

Against all odds, 'Two and a Half Men' bounced back bigger than ever with the addition of Ashton Kutcher this season, but lately it seems as though Moonves has simply traded one headline-grabber for another. From engaging in a war of words with the Village Voice over sex trafficking to making a twit of himself on Twitter with an uninformed comment about Joe Paterno, Kutcher is developing a reputation almost as noisy as Sheen's -- and his impending divorce from Demi Moore over rumors of infidelity won't help matters much.

Still, despite Kutcher's antics, Moonves apparently doesn't think his golden goose is in danger any longer. According to Deadline, the CEO spoke confidently about the future of 'Two and a Half Men' at the recent Hollywood Radio and Television Society Newsmaker Luncheon in Beverly Hills.

"With these numbers, I'm hoping this show will last for many, many years," he insisted, also praising Kutcher's performance. "We're more than happy with how well Ashton has done, other than his comments about Penn State."

Alan's Worst Day Ever Bookended by Gary Busey on 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 15th 2011 1:30AM
Gary Busey, 'Two and a Half Men'If Alan thought losing his mind and thinking he was his brother Charlie was about as bad as it could get, he was in for quite a shock when he got out of the stress clinic loony bin on 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS). While last week seemed to be a final tribute to Charlie Harper, this week was all about the show, and hopefully its audience, moving on and embracing this new situation.

This was done by showing Alan his worst possible life, only to thankfully awaken back in the stress clinic with roommate Gary Busey. Could you cast a better loony bin roomie than Busey?

Ashton Kutcher Apologizes for Controversial Joe Paterno Tweet

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 10th 2011 7:03AM
'Two and a Half Men' star Ashton Kutcher's been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently, and last night he dug himself a massive hole to climb out of thanks to his prolific use of Twitter.

Kutcher set off a firestorm with a controversial tweet (which has since been taken down from his page) in which he criticized the firing of Penn State Head Football Coach Joe Paterno: "How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste."

After thousands of furious Twitter followers blasted his post, Kutcher then tweeted apologies, saying he didn't have the full story when he posted the first tweet: "This is an insane story, I just heard paterno was fired, getting the rest of the story now..." and "Fully recant previous tweet! ... Didn't have full story. #admitwhenYoumakemistakes."

Alan Thinks He's Charlie Harper and 'Winning' on 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 8th 2011 2:30AM
'Two and a Half Men' - 'Thank You for the Intercourse'It was all about Charlie Harper on this week's 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS). Alan reminisced about Charlie's jingles -- all of which Walden appears to know by heart -- while lamenting the loss of his piano.

But then, in a stroke of mad genius he introduced himself as Charlie Harper to the hot young woman who chased her dog onto his porch. What followed was a night Charlie would have been proud of. And then Alan lost it.

He latched onto the idea that he was Charlie to the point that he apparently had a complete break with reality, even forgetting who Walden was.

Alan Warns Walden His Mom Will Try to Sleep With Him on 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 1st 2011 3:00AM
'Two and a Half Men' - 'Those Fancy Japanese Toilets'The new iteration of 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS) continues to bring back past guest stars to meet the new guy. This time around it's Alan's mother, Evelyn. As she has a "proclivity for younger man," as Alan puts it, she should certainly enjoy meeting Mr. Schmidt.

Which is, understandably, exactly what Alan was afraid of. Walden isn't exactly known for turning down women, and Evelyn isn't known for failing to get exactly what she wants, and she absolutely is going to want Walden.

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna hook up with your mom," Walden says, which is sitcom speak for "I'm totally gonna hook up with your mom."

FX Acquires Charlie Sheen's 'Anger Management'

by Maggie Furlong, posted Oct 27th 2011 6:55PM
Charlie Sheen FX Anger ManagementIs Charlie Sheen's winning streak back on? The former 'Two and a Half Men' star just got a new job.

Sheen will return to TV next summer in 'Anger Management' -- a small-screen adaptation of the Adam Sandler/Jack Nicholson comedy from 2003 -- FX Networks president John Landgraf announced today.

FX has ordered 10 episodes of sitcom 'Anger Management,' with production set to begin in early 2012. Writer-producer Bruce Helford will act as executive producer and showrunner.

But we're not just talking about one season -- if the show is a hit, FX will pick up an additional 90 episodes under a unique syndication model crafted by Lionsgate-owned distributor Debmar-Mercury for multiple Tyler Perry sitcoms and Revolution's and Ice Cube's 'Are We There Yet?' The series will air exclusively on FX until the off-network episodes start airing in broadcast syndication in fall 2014.

"We think that Bruce Helford, Joe Roth and Charlie Sheen have come up with a wonderful, hilarious vehicle for Charlie's acting talents -- and a character we are very much looking forward to seeing him play," said Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks. "'Two and a Half Men' has been an outstanding component of FX's schedule for the past 14 months, and we have every confidence that 'Anger Management' will soon be as well."

Walden Kisses Alan to 'Prove' They're Gay on 'Two and a Half Men' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 25th 2011 1:15AM
'Two and a Half Men' - 'The Squat and the Hover'After getting his divorce papers, Walden decides to move on, only it proves more difficult than he thought on 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS). Not to mention that Alan doesn't want him to move on to New York, as that would leave him homeless again.

Therapy and hitting on a lesbian couple to prove the prowess of Walden's charisma and assets, are apparently the fix-it method on the menu. And it works, though not without an incredibly awkward moment.

Walden is fixated on one of the women because she reminds him of Bridget, but he's rebuffed when the couple admits to being gay by kissing in front of them. So in a moment of desperation to save face, Walden plants one on Alan to say that they're a gay couple as well.
