(S16E09) Yikes! I'm finding it hard to believe that we're down to five teams on 'The Amazing Race.' It seems like it just started a few weeks ago. Where has the season gone? The five remaining teams aren't necessarily the final five teams I would have predicted in the beginning. I really thought Steve and Allie or Joe and Heidi would have taken up a few of the last slots.

But both of those teams were Philiminated, so we're down to models, lesbians, cowboys, cops and young brothers, oh my. Well, the cowboys are brothers, too. Are the best teams still in the running? I can only say that since they haven't been eliminated, they deserve to be there. That doesn't mean I have to like them.

(S16E05) Brave soldiers marching as to war ... or maybe it's just a team from 'The Amazing Race' hoping to make the pit stop without interference from the Red Baron. The episode started off on a new and different note. After arriving at the last pit stop, the teams were taken to an undisclosed location. They didn't know; we didn't know. Mais oui, we all figured it out. It turned out that the lack of whereabouts knowledge wasn't what affected this leg. It was all about over confidence. That can end up biting you in the butt.

(S14E12) "You need to tell your people that I'm not their personal concierge and I don't have time to look for the place they want to go." -- Taxi dispatcher to Jaime and Cara's cab driver

Now, that was such a fine moment in tonight's season finale of The Amazing Race! Who would have thought that an unknown female voice would deliver the best line of the season? If I had to wager beforehand, I think I would have said Mel White had some of the best lines this season. Kudos to the dispatcher ... she rules!

(S14E11) Last week, the four teams remaining on The Amazing Race were still in China when Phil gave them the news -- "This leg isn't over." I'll admit to snickering a bit because Cara and Jaime were so excited to finally make a first place finish. It's my evil side. Or, perhaps it's karma. After all, they've been the epitome of Ugly Americans to the point of name-calling just because folks in another country may not know English. While Tammy and Victor have the advantage of knowing Mandarin Chinese, a lot still depends on taxis and common sense.

(S14E06) Who would have thunk it? I'm actually enjoying watching all of the teams on this season's The Amazing Race. On every previous season of the show, there's been at least one team which has been evil to others or to each other or just plain obnoxious. This season, the team I'm liking the most right now is the one I thought I'd like the least. Amazing, isn't it?

(S14E05) Sure, the jackets Jen and Kisha are wearing on The Amazing Race look plenty warm. But will they hold up in Siberia? It looks like they're prepared for any weather the race might throw their way. For that matter, every team has more gear than it looks physically possible to fit in the bags they carry. Tonight it would have behooved the teams to have on long johns for underwear or, at the very least, not a thong.

(S13E10) "Could we look like bigger idiots?" - Team Dandrew

Well, when you march worse than Elaine danced on Seinfeld, it's hard to make yourself look like a "bigger idiot." The Dunderhead Doofus Duo, the single most inept team to ever be on The Amazing Race, had to face a Speed Bump on tonight's penultimate episode of the season due to being saved by last week's non-Philimination leg. Oh ... and that Speed Bump had to do with dancing. Read on!

(S13E09) Oh my. We're really getting down to the wire for this season of The Amazing Race, aren't we? Four teams remain going into this leg and we all know the big finale is between the final three teams. It seems like the season just started! But then I think of the teams who have been long gone -- Arthur and Anita as well as my early favorites, Mark and Bill (the comic book guys). I'm definitely satisfied with two of the teams going into tonight's episode. One team, not so much. But one team really shouldn't be there. Read on!

(S13E08) "Moo! Moo!" - Dallas, the happy cow.

Well, not all happy cows come from California. However, one particularly angry cow stomped through the streets of Kazakhstan in tonight's episode of The Amazing Race. Some teams on the show are a joy to watch and make for happy cows. Some are just cranky. Yet others are bumbling dunderheads. A few teams are a mix. But I have my favorite team for the win. Moo-ve along to past the jump for my review of tonight's show.

(S13E07) Dazed and confused in both New and Old Delhi, it's time for The Amazing Race teams to step up to the plate and prove they want the million dollars. Sure, it's a confusing place. But standing in the middle of the street looking lost probably isn't the best approach. Ah, but some teams whine, some get to bickering, some wimp out when the times get tough. Then again, others go all out and go for the gold. Or -- in tonight's episode -- the gold, the green, the pink, and more! Read on for my full review of the show.

(S13E06) Moms, don't let your boys grow up to be non-ironers. Let 'em by cowboys, let 'em be frats. But, whatever you do, make sure they know the basics of laundry. It's a life skill which may come in handy if they're ever on The Amazing Race. The remaining teams headed off to India for this leg of the race. India is one of those countries which always provide teams with frustration on the roads, but some had their own frustrations with each other. Read on for the full review of tonight's show.

(S13E05) "His haircut makes him look like Teen Wolf." - Either Kelly or Christy about Dallas.

Kelly and Christy's impressions of Dallas not withstanding, I think that Dallas and Toni are the best son and mother team ever to be on The Amazing Race. Of course, the only other mother and son I can think of was a few years back and they had issues. Dallas might not know where New Zealand or Cambodia are, but he's got a great relationship with him Mom. I'm cheering on Teen Wolf and the Wolf Mother! But how did they make out tonight? Read on!

(S13E04) "Okay, Fidel. Are you done now?" - Ty to Aja

Before I get into my review of tonight's The Amazing Race, I ask that you please bear with me as I must go into an atypical anti-sports delaying my show rant. CBS, you do this to me every Sunday night. Knock it off. If it's not golf, it's football. If it's not football or golf, it's baseball. Enough already. If shows are going to be consistently delayed, just go ahead and schedule them an hour later. That way DVRs could be set, the CBS scheduling won't interfere with other networks, and I could actually watch a show in the 8 PM block if TAR isn't expected until 9 PM. None of this fifteen or forty-five minute stuff, delay to the hour if you must. And change those schedules around! Thank you.

(S13E03) "I know she pushed my sports bra off the ledge!" - Christy about Starr

While the sports bra debacle wasn't the only drama on tonight's episode of The Amazing Race, it played a role one and off throughout the show. And, I'm sure we haven't heard the last of it. while the animosity within the teams seemed to dwindle some this week, the animosity between a few of the teams is amping up. That's a good thing as far as I'm concerned. I find racers who constantly bicker with their partners really annoying. But when teams are contentious with other teams, it gives them more of a spirit of competition. Read on for my review!

(S12E11) You know, it's tough to actually like all three teams racing for the finish line on The Amazing Race. Other seasons there have always been teams I so didn't want to win the million dollars. This year, what can I say?

The three teams in the run for the win include a father and daughter team, a grandfather and his grandson, and a rather offbeat mellow new-agey, yet throwback couple who get along together amazingly well.

My favorite team coming out of the gate this season was Kynt and Vyxsin, but they're long gone. It's been the Ronald and Christina show the past few weeks. Was it tonight? Finale spoilers after the jump!
