Ugly Betty casting
Ralph Macchio to return to Ugly Betty

I swear, I get more TV news from Twitter these days than nearly anywhere else. To wit: I just found out a brand new piece of Ugly Betty casting news from one of the stars himself. Ralph Macchio, the erstwhile Karate Kid, who joined Betty at the beginning of last season, will be reprising his role in season 4.
He tweeted: "4 all inquiring about Ugly Betty. Just got official call that Archie will b back in Season 4. 4 how much, how long and when. Don't know yet."
Rebecca Romijn demoted to recurring status on Ugly Betty
Ugly Betty fans will see less of Alexis Meade next season. In a recent interview with the New York Post, Rebecca Romijn admitted that she will not be a series regular when the show returns this fall. Romijn also implied that this change in status could prompt her to leave the show altogether. E!'s Kristin Dos Santos is reporting that the producers went against Romijn's wishes by demoting her.
There have been a lot of personnel changes to the Ugly Betty staff over the last year. Five writers were fired between the show's first and second seasons, and executive producers Marco Pennette and James Hayman were let go in February. According to E!, Pennette "created and championed" Romijn's character.
Naomi Campbell to appear on Ugly Betty finale
The parade of fabulous Ugly Betty guest stars continues. Supermodel Naomi Campbell is set to guest star on the comedy's season two finale. Campbell was supposed to appear in an earlier episode, but the guest spot never happened. Perhaps she got wind of that "Naomi Campbell tuna meltdown" joke.
Many real-life fashionistas have appeared on the style-conscious show. Victoria Beckham, designer Vera Wang, and Project Runway's Tim Gunn have all had guest-starring roles. Next week's episode, "Burning Questions," will feature an appearance by Project Runway winner Christian Siriano. Campbell's in good company.
