'Wipeout': Vanessa Lachey Debuts as New Co-Host (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 9th 2011 12:45AM
ABC brought us a special holiday edition with 'Winter Wipeout: Deck the Balls' (Thu., 8PM ET on ABC). But it was more than just a teaser for the new season, kicking off in January. It was an opportunity to introduce the new face on the team. The presenter in the field with the contestants is Vanessa Lachey, replacing Jill Wagner, who had served in that role since the first episode.John Anderson introduced her as a present for co-host John Henson, while Lachey wasted no time getting her digs in. "I'm a huge fan of both of you," she said. "Anderson, I love your work on ESPN. And Henson, your dad invented the Muppets, right?"
She brought a lot of the same quirky personality that made her a fan-favorite on 'TRL' on MTV, like joining a contestant in becoming a human kazoo.
