'Braxton Family Values': Tamar Wants a Baby, But Doesn't Really (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 9th 2011 1:30AM
'Braxton Family Values'One thing is very clear on 'Braxton Family Values' (Thu., 10PM ET on WE), and that is that no amount of convincing will get Tamar to even consider the possibility of having a baby. First, Trina said that her big sister is to vain to ever put her body through childbirth.

Tamar brought it on herself by saying, "I want a baby in my life, but not right now." After that statement, she shot down everything her sisters said, essentially backing down completely from the claim.

"Who's gonna watch it?" she asked. "I got things to do. I'm busy." But she lost them completely when she started equating having children to a mother duck with her ducklings waddling behind her, as if Tamar imagined human motherhood to work the same way.

Somebody's Been Tracking Trina on 'Braxton Family Values' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 2nd 2011 12:00AM
'Braxton Family Values'When Trina's phone started acting a little wonky, Gabe had an explanation, but it wasn't one she wanted to hear on 'Braxton Family Values' (Thu., 9PM ET on WE). It turns out that her husband snuck a program onto her phone that allowed him to track her movements via GPS, and otherwise see what he was doing.

Obviously, this was not okay with Trina, nor should it have been. This is a clear violation of her privacy and of the trust that's supposed to exist within their marriage. Trina turned it back around on him, though.

"You keep checking on me because you're not doing the right thing. That's what that is," she said. If he's so unable to trust what she's doing, Trina figures, it must be because he can't be trusted himself. Why else would he think someone would just throw away the bonds a marriage is based on?

'Braxton Family Values': Is Tamar Planning to Cheat on her Husband? (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 18th 2011 5:45AM
Tamar Braxton and Harvey Mason Jr.What on earth is Tamar thinking on this week's 'Braxton Family Values' (Thu., 9PM ET on WE)? Camera crew in tow, she goes into a recording studio and lays it on producer Harvey Mason Jr.: "I was just hoping that you would be willing to have an affair with me." Er, that's not exactly a subtle way of letting her husband Vincent Herbert find out that she's up to no good ...

As a clearly embarrassed Mason starts laughing and squirming uncomfortably in his chair she adds, "Not that kind. A musical affair." Phew. Turns out that Tamar just wants Mason for his musical chops. She plans to record an album with him in secret, behind her music producer husband's back.

Mason agrees to do it, and then Tamar delivers the kicker: She needs help financing it. "I don't have no money! I can't be using Vince's money to work on this project behind his back."

Tamar Shocked by Evelyn's Attack About Disrespect on 'Braxton Family Values' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 11th 2011 2:00AM
Tamar, 'Braxton Family Values' season premiereAs the baby of the family, Tamar Braxton is prone to acting a bit spoiled -- and by a bit we obviously mean a lot. Tired of singing back-up to big sister Toni, she stormed out of a discussion about making a family record on the season premiere of 'Braxton Family Values' (Thu., 9PM ET on WE).

Tamar has been focusing on putting together a solo release, and is ready to be a star in her own right. But it was when their mother, Evelyn, stepped into the argument that Tamar stormed off, and Evelyn took that as a personal slight against her.

Wedding Erupts Into a Bar Brawl on 'Big Easy Brides' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 19th 2011 4:30AM
'Big Easy Brides'One thing's for sure on 'Big Easy Brides' (Sun., 10PM ET on WE) and that is to expect the unexpected with these crazy weddings. That's why wedding planner Maria says, "Always get the money up front."

In this case, they were conducting what she called a "big, loud, rude, obnoxious wedding" at a local bar, which wasn't sitting well with some of the patrons. After all, it was all of those things Maria said.

So one patron said to the bride, "Congratulations on your skank wedding." That was all it took and the place erupted into chaos after the blushing bride dumped a drink on her critic's head.

Ray Rae Forces a Bridesmaid to Pierce Her Ears on 'Bridezillas' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 19th 2011 4:15AM
'Bridezillas'Bridesmaids have to go through a lot to ensure their friend or relative gets through their wedding day in one piece. But Ray Rae put one of her bridesmaids through a completely unexpected ordeal on 'Bridezillas' (Sun., 9PM ET on WE).

One of the things bridesmaids have to deal with is that edict that you can never look better than the bride. As such, many women find themselves subjected to bridesmaids dresses that don't necessarily flatter their appearance. But they wear them because they love the bride.

Jo Jo, on the other hand, found out that Ray Rae had decided all of her bridesmaids needed to wear matching earrings. The problem was that Jo Jo had never gotten her ears pierced, and seemed quite happy that way. This was completely unacceptable for Ray Rae.

The Gang Discovers Gino's Surprising Secret Job on 'Big Easy Brides' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 12th 2011 4:34AM
'Big Easy Brides'And we thought the biggest surprises would come mostly from the people looking to get married on 'Big Easy Brides' (Sun., 10PM ET on WE). The gang decided to figure out what secret life Gino was hiding this week, which led them to a bar.

When they followed him inside, they discovered they were in a gay bar, and started wondering if that was his secret.

"I never thought for a moment he was gay," Lou Ann said. "I always thought he was straight, like a big burly kind of guy." Not to mention the fact that he's married, though Lou Ann speculated he could still be bisexual.

Wedding Party Takes Down a Drunken One of Their Own on 'Bridezillas' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 12th 2011 3:54AM
'Bridezillas'As a sneak preview of what her wedding day could be like, Kim's experience with groomsman Josh was less than stellar on 'Bridezillas' (Sun., 9PM ET on WE). Alcohol usually flows pretty freely at a wedding, but people react to it differently.

There are sleepy drunks, happy drunks, silly drunks, angry drunks and even violent drunks. And then there are those people who just completely lose their minds, becoming completely out of control and unpredictable.

Unfortunately for Kim, and Josh perhaps, he's fully in that latter category. As such, he completely lost control of himself, and had to be taken down by several guys much larger than him. Of course, everyone else drinking made his antics look even more outrageous, which is why they decided he needed to be taken down.

Todd Apologizes to Cody for Leaving Him When He Was Younger on 'Downsized' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 7th 2011 1:30AM
'Downsized'Everyone makes decisions in life that they struggle with, and the choice to leave behind a child is perhaps one of the most haunting. On Cody's 21st birthday, Todd sat him down to talk about the decision to leave him behind and ask his forgiveness on 'Downsized' (Tue., 9PM ET on WE).

Sometimes it's not so much whether what you did back then was the right thing or the wrong thing, but what you're willing to say, feel and do about it now. Todd was honest and sincere in opening up to his son about the heartache he felt when he made that decision.

"I want you to know that it was the hardest thing I had to do and it was the hardest decision I had to make," he said. "Life had been hard enough on you. I always wanted to ask your forgiveness for leaving you behind."

Danielle Worried Fighting Could Lead to Divorce on 'Downsized' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 31st 2011 2:18AM
'Downsized'The Bruce family represents millions of Americans who've found themselves losing long-standing jobs and sliding down the socioeconomic ladder in the United States.

As such, we see a lot of our struggles in what they're facing on 'Downsized' (Tue., 9PM ET on TLC).

Most recently, it's been the medical costs of their son's asthma attack now that they no longer have insurance. How to deal with those costs has lead to more fighting in the house, which is cause for concern for youngest daughter Danielle.

She'd already seen her mother get divorced once, and while she didn't know much about why it happened, she knows there was a lot of fighting.

Groom's Secret Lover Disrupts Wedding on 'Big Easy Brides' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 29th 2011 5:06AM
'Big Easy Brides'It's only the second episode, and already 'Big Easy Brides' (Sun., 10PM ET on WE) is transforming into some kind of 'Jerry Springer' show in the streets of New Orleans. This week's Springer-rific story featured a bride, a groom and a secret girlfriend.

On Chassidy's wedding day, which was on a dock, Jaelynn showed up to reveal that she'd been sleeping with the groom-to-be, Nick. The whole exchange between her and Nick felt completely scripted. Maybe it was a real scenario, but it looked as if the producers were having them recreate an argument or something artificial.

Maybe it felt fake because it was all so civil, but Chassidy had seen video of Nick and Jaelynn making out the night prior. Maybe she'd calmed down by this point. We felt for sure that one exchange would have had Chassidy pushing Jaelynn into the water.

After He Refused to Help, 'Bridezilla' Breaks Her Fiance's Xbox 360 (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 29th 2011 3:38AM
'Bridezillas'Usually when watching 'Bridezillas' (Sun., 9PM ET on WE) we find ourselves wondering about the crazy antics of these women, and the poor guys that seem saddled with all that crazy. But sometimes, and this is admittedly rare, the women seem completely justified.

Jeremiah was clearly pushing his fiance to see how far he could push her before she broke. After he got home from work, he was playing a game on his Xbox 360 when she came in and told him to come help her put together the wedding favors.

It was his adamant and repeated refusals that saw her escalate from frustrated to incensed with rage. When she picked up the Xbox and threatened to break it, both of them seemed unsure how the next few minutes would go. But Jeremiah bargained on her not trying to break such an expensive object.

Girls Night Out Almost Ruined by Older Bullies on 'Downsized' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 24th 2011 12:39AM
'Downsized'Everyone knows that kids can be cruel, and when it comes to verbal cruelty, nothing can top a teenage girl. Their word are their weapon and they can be vicious and heartless. And yet, you hope and expect it is something they'll outgrow as they move into young adulthood. Heather and Bailey found that not to be the case on 'Downsized' (Tue., 9PM ET on WE).

At a restaurant, trying to have a relaxing "girl's night out," a group of girls at a nearby table would not stop talking about them. When a guy was talking to Heather, you could hear, "Gross! Don't talk to her!"

At another point, it was, "She needs to lose a few pounds."

Jealous Brides and Crazy Weddings on Premiere of 'Big Easy Brides' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 22nd 2011 5:15AM
'Big Easy Brides' premiereNew Orleans' French Quarter Wedding Chapel is at the heart of the new series 'Big Easy Brides' (Sun., 10PM ET on WE). That show title, however, could certainly bring another very different image to mind, and not a very flattering one. Still, it does grab your attention, even if not for the right reasons, and any attention is good for a fledgling show.

The series follows the staff at the chapel as they preside over weddings from the mundane to the outrageous. Superheroes, voodoo, lingerie ... nothing is too much for them to handle. And they'll do what they can to make it as special as it can be.

Suzy and Her Mom Take Their Fight to the Streets on 'Bridezillas' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 22nd 2011 3:09AM
Suzy, 'Bridezillas'The communication breakdowns between Suzy and her family just kept coming on this week's installment of 'Bridezillas' (Sun., 9PM ET on WE). This time around it was over the seating at the reception hall. Suzy's mother and sister had some ideas, but Suzy was very adamant about where the groom's family should be sitting.

All of this is fairly typical stuff for a looming wedding, and a stressful bride is even to be expected. But Suzy is on this show for a reason. So when her sister told her to calm down, she decided she'd had enough and stormed out.

This led to a rather silly sequence with her mom in the car chasing after Suzy on foot. Mom was screaming and cussing for her to get in the car, but Suzy had had enough. Her new attitude about the wedding was "F*** it!" Hopefully, she'll care a little more about the state of her marriage, or she'll soon be a divorced-zilla.
