Taylor Armstrong on How Her Daughter Is Coping With Father's Suicide (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 6th 2011 4:30AM
Taylor Armstrong, 'Watch What Happens Live''Watch What Happens Live' (Mon., 11PM ET on Bravo) is often a boozy laugh-fest, as it features cast members from Bravo's various reality shows. But there was a very different tone as Taylor Armstrong sat with Andy Cohen to hash out the latest developments on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.'

She talked about how she felt like a complete train wreck while filming this most recent season, and reflected on her explosive breakdown in last night's episode. Armstrong also talked about how she and her daughter have been dealing with the suicide of her abusive ex-husband Russell Armstrong.

Bravo Turning 'Watch What Happens Live' Into Nightly Late-Night Show

by Alex Moaba, posted Nov 21st 2011 7:10PM
Just when it seemed like Andy Cohen's Bravo empire couldn't possibly get any bigger, it's grown once again. The New York Times is reporting that Bravo's Cohen-hosted late-night show 'Watch What Happens Live' will soon be expanded into a five-night-per-week offering, airing new episodes from Sunday through Thursday nights.

Cohen, who had been Bravo's Executive Vice President of Programming, is widely credited as the godfather the network's ridiculously popular 'Real Housewives' franchise. Over the past two years he's moved increasingly in front of the camera, hosting the 'Housewives' reunion specials and carving out a boozy, gossipy niche for 'What What Happens,' the rare late night show where guests are served alcohol. The Times reports that in his new role, Cohen will lose his VP title, but remain involved in Bravo programming decisions.

China Chow and Adrienne Maloof Discuss Mark Wahlberg's Third Nipple (VIDEO)

by Stephanie Opella, posted Nov 15th 2011 5:45PM
'Work of Art' host China Chow and Beverly Hills Housewife Adrienne Maloof dropped by the clubhouse to hang out with Andy Cohen on Monday night's 'Watch What Happens Live' (Sun. & Mon., 11PM ET on Bravo) and found out they had more in common than just their network.

Andy began reading a question from a viewer asking China if she used to date "Adrienne's BFF Marky Mark Wahlberg," and paused to ask China if the rumor was true. She confirmed it was, much to Adrienne's surprise. Adrienne had just posted a photo on her Facebook page of herself and her husband Dr. Paul Nassif out to dinner with Wahlberg.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Imitate Melissa and Joe Gorga (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 24th 2011 8:10AM
Mark Consuelos, 'What What Happens Live'Who knew that Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were such great impressionists? They had 'Watch What Happens Live' (Sun., 11PM ET on Bravo) host Andy Cohen just cracking up as they showcased their best Joe and Melissa Gorga impersonations.

Revisiting their shared soap opera past, the couple spoofed 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' in 'All My Housewives.' Consuelos was hilarious as Joe, screaming "sono tuo figlio!" at Ripa.

Then, after she cut him off with "Are you done?" he tried to play the supportive husband as Kelly, wearing a rather fetching black wig, explained the murky origins of the long-runnning feud between 'Housewives' Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice.

Patti Stanger Offends Jewish and Gay Viewers on 'Watch What Happens Live' (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 26th 2011 12:10PM
'Millionaire Matchmaker' host Patti Stanger has built a career on giving people dating guidance, but Sunday night on 'Watch What Happens Live,' her advice veered into offensive territory. Taking calls from viewers, Stanger repeatedly packaged gay and Jewish stereotypes as insight in a segment that offended viewers and made host Andy Cohen visibly uncomfortable.

Things started to get uncomfortable when a gay man called in asking a question about maintaining an open long-term relationship. Stanger said, "In the gay world, it will always be open," and continued, "I've tried to curb you people." She then referenced a gay sex site.

Andy Cohen recoiled in shock. "I'm down for the monogamy," he said, pushing back on her comments. She immediately burst out laughing. "When was the last time you had a boyfriend?" she asked, incredulously.

Andy Cohen Scores Book Deal

by Alex Moaba, posted Aug 8th 2011 4:15PM
We have absolutely no idea where Andy Cohen will find the time to write a memoir, but the Bravo Executive Vice-President and 'Watch What Happens Live' host has signed a book deal. Henry Holt and Company have commissioned one of TV's best multi-taskers to write a memoir about his life experience with pop culture. Cohen announced the deal on his Bravo blog.

The memoir will track Cohen's lifelong obsession with pop culture and how that has influenced his career. He'll share funny stories he's been saving about his days growing up in St. Louis, including his journey towards coming to terms with his sexuality, his time as a reporter for CBS News, and, we can only hope, some behind-the-scenes goodness about the process of creating the 'The Real Housewives' franchise for Bravo.

"I love to write and I'm thrilled that I get to share stories of my improbable intersections with pop culture that have enriched my life," Cohen said in a statement. He also said that he began writing the book this week, and that it's due out next summer. Cohen is soliciting suggestions from fans to help him decide on the memoir's title.

Allison Janney and John Benjamin Hickey Play 'Ghosts of Christmas Past' on 'Watch What Happens Live' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 1st 2011 5:50PM
Andy Cohen, Allison Janney, and John Benjamin Hickey on 'Watch What Happens Live'Andy Cohen snuck a "Christmas in July" theme in just under the wire Sunday on 'Watch What Happens Live' (Thursdays and Sundays, 11PM on Bravo), decorating the set with a Christmas tree, garlands and a Santa hat on a Snoopy statue. In keeping with the theme, Cohen played a game he called "Ghosts of Christmas Past" with guests Allison Janney and John Benjamin Hickey, with an assist from Julie Chen.

Chen asked the guests questions, and they had to hold up a paddle showing either "true" or "false." It got personal when Chen asked if Hickey had ever dated Cohen. Hickey stumbled over his answer. "Is there an in between?" he asked, and then held up "false." Chen confirmed it was actually true.

Andy Cohen Finally Tells 'Real Housewives of NYC' to 'Shut the F*** Up! (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 26th 2011 3:24AM
Neil Patrick Harris, 'Watch What Happens: Live'While you didn't get to see it on the reunion special for 'The Real Housewives of New York City,' Andy Cohen revealed the moment he truly lost it during taping of the special on 'Watch What Happens: Live' (Mon., 11:30PM ET on Bravo).

We think he probably deserves a medal anyway for trying to herd those women through proper conversations. They talk over one another so much and jump up so often yelling like they're on 'Jerry Springer,' it's a nearly impossible task. And this time, it just got to be too much.

"This time, ladies and gentlemen, they broke me," Cohen said before revealing the clip. In it, after several tries to get the women to all stop talking he finally yelled at them to "Shut the f*** up!"

Something we've wanted to do on multiple occasions each week during the show. It's fair to say we're actually jealous of Cohen now that he got to do it!

Joe Gorga Is Not Ashamed of His Cross-Dressing Habit (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 18th 2011 3:45PM
Joe Gorga of 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' in drag on 'Watch What Happens Live'Most of the time on 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' Joe Gorga is a muscled, macho guy. But every now and then, he likes to embrace his feminine side. And as Andy Cohen showed Sunday on 'Watch What Happens Live' (Sun., 11PM on Bravo), when Gorga is feeling feminine, he likes to show it off.

"We know he loves his wife," said Cohen, "but another thing Joe Gorga seems to be into, at least a little, occasionally, is puttin' on a lady dress." What followed was a montage of clips featuring Gorga in women's outfits. In one clip, Gorga preened in front of a mirror in a gold dress and spanks, trying to get his wig right. He told his wife, Melissa, "I look better than you, as a woman." Melissa couldn't bare to look at him, so maybe she thought he was right.

Susie Essman and Jeff Lewis Play 'Guess the Hairy Armpit' on 'Watch What Happens Live' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 15th 2011 6:20PM
Susie Essman and Jeff Lewis look at Julia Roberts' armpit on 'Watch What Happens Live'When it comes to gross, time-wasting late-night TV games, 'Watch What Happens Live' (Thursdays and Sundays, 11PM on Bravo) is the clear-cut intergalactic champion. On Thursday's edition, host Andy Cohen and his guests Susie Essman and Jeff Lewis celebrated 'Pit-stille Day' by looking at pictures of a woman's hairy armpit and guessing to whom it belonged.

For the first armpit, Cohen gave them the choice of Beyonce, Rihanna, or NeNe Leakes. "You know, I don't want to say what that looks like," said Essman. Cohen was thinking the same thing. Essman and Lewis both guessed wrong, as it turned out to be Beyonce. For a particularly unattractive patch, they were given the choices of Julia Roberts, Amy Winehouse, or Courtney Love. Surprisingly, it was Roberts.

Essman wound up the champion, and received a $1,000 gift certificate for hair removal as a prize. Lewis was happy he didn't win. "I would never have used that," he said. Cohen said he had heard otherwise. Oh, the dalliances of the Hollywood hirsute.

Carson Kressley and Alex McCord Critique 'Real Housewives' Fashion on 'Watch What Happens Live' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 8th 2011 6:00PM
Carson Kressley on 'Watch What Happens Live'The 'Real Housewives' franchise produces some interesting fashion choices, which prompted a game of "Cars-in or Cars-out" Friday on 'Watch What Happens Live' (Thursdays and Sundays, 11PM on Bravo).

Fashion guru Carson Kressley was shown a photo of a cast member of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' with the face blurred out and was asked to give a thumbs up or thumbs down, with 'Housewife' Alex McCord filling in the details.

Ramona's "sexy Big Bird" look got a thumbs down. "It's probably not the most flattering shape," said Kressley. Simon's "sporty gothic" look also got a thumbs down, which was the most common response. Brian's "cabaret" look, bare-chested with black hat and suspenders, fared the best.

Alex's own black dress with studs got a "Cars-out," but at least Kressley was apologetic about it. "But you wear it well," he said. Still, out.

Andy Cohen's Guests Think 'The Real Housewives' Should Air on Cinemax (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jun 17th 2011 8:15AM
Mary McDonaldLast night 'Watch What Happens: Live' (Thu., 11PM ET on BRAVO) host Andy Cohen and his guests dished on the latest escapades of 'The Real Housewives of New York.'

Now, negligees, rose petals, nudity, massages and copious amounts of foam have all become staples of the reality TV romance-setting playbook. Last night 'Housewife' Ramona pulled out all the stops to set the mood for her possibly philandering husband Mario.

Talking about the couple's "sexy time" Cohen asked Mary McDonald ('Million Dollar Decorators') if she thought Mario was hot. Echoing, no doubt, many viewers' sentiments, McDonald said, "I was grossed out. ... I don't really need to see this."

Fellow guest Rocco DiSpirito concurred that 'Housewives' belonged on Cinemax, not Bravo, adding that, "It [was] like the soft-porn channel all of a sudden."

Andy Cohen on Jersey Housewives, 'Top Chef,' and Being the Face of Bravo

by Joel Keller, posted Mar 18th 2010 2:02PM
Andy Cohen of BravoWhen NBC Universal had their all-star party at the January press tour, I got a chance to talk to Andy Cohen of Bravo. Who's Andy Cohen? Many of you who follow Bravo's reality shows may know him as "the reunion guy," who hosts all the reunion shows at the end of each season. Others may know him from the talk show 'Watch What Happens Live,' which debuted last summer and discusses the week in the world of Bravo and beyond.

But Cohen has a day job: as the network's senior vice president of original programming and development, he's largely been responsible for bringing shows like 'Top Chef,' 'Project Runway,' 'Flipping Out,' 'The Real Housewives' series and others to the network. So he's the perfect guy to talk to about the mishegas going on with the Jersey Housewives as they shoot their second season, fluky edits on the finale of 'Top Chef,' and whatever he could say about the Salahis, who crashed a White House dinner while being recruited for 'The Real Housewives of D.C.' Our talk is after the jump.
