Neal and Mozzie Try to Stay Ahead of the FBI on 'White Collar' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 10th 2011 6:45PM
Neal finds a fake Degas on 'White Collar'Neal Caffrey always walks a thin line on 'White Collar' (Tuesdays, 9PM on USA) between his former life as a con-man and his current life working with the FBI's Peter Burke. Things got even more dicey for Caffrey when he tried to balance working with his trusted friend and former colleague Mozzie with an art scandal Burke was pursuing with his old mentor.

At times, Caffrey had to stay one step ahead of Burke, almost literally: He tried to avoid his elevator and nearly lost his hat. The art fraud case involved a fake Degas, which Caffrey had to replace before Burke could get to it in a penthouse.

Mozzie was helping Caffrey remotely, opening doors in the apartment complex and keeping him updated on his time. But would it be enough to keep Burke from finding him and the fake Degas?

Harry Smith Moves from CBS to NBC, USA Fans Can Vote for 'White Collar' Credits and More TV News

by Jean Bentley, posted Jul 8th 2011 1:00PM
Harry SmithAfter 24 years at CBS News, Harry Smith is saying goodbye to the network.

According to TV Guide, Smith is heading to rival broadcaster NBC to launch a new primetime newsmagazine with 'NBC Nightly News' anchor Brian Williams.

Smith began working at CBS in 1987, and most recently co-anchored 'The Early Show' and 'CBS This Morning.' He has also contributed to 'CBS Evening News' as a senior correspondent and substitute anchor.

In December, after CBS announced the changes to 'The Early Show' lineup, executive producer David Friedman said 'Early Show' newsreader Smith would "shift his focus to hard news with an expanded role as primary substitute anchor on 'The Evening News with Katie Couric,' 'Face the Nation' and 'Sunday Morning' while continuing to report major stories for all CBS News broadcasts."

Friedman said he decided to make such sweeping changes to the morning program after he "looked at many different aspects of the show and tried to figure out what needed to be changed," adding that "obviously if things were, quote unquote, working, we wouldn't make changes."

'Real Housewife' Jill Zarin Is Bidding for a Bachelor on 'White Collar' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 6th 2011 9:55AM
Jill Zarin ('The Real Housewives of New York City'), 'White Collar'The men of 'White Collar' (Tue, 9PM ET on USA) went undercover as wealthy bachelors at a dating auction to try and lure out a mysterious black widow. While she's wedded and "deaded" four husbands, she didn't take any of their money.

Jones does well pretending to be a pastry chef, while Peter comes across as more genuine and winds up the "winner." Neal, on the other hand, was so good at playing utterly despicable, Diane had to bid on him or watch the auction derail as no one was interested.

In a fun cameo, Jill Zarin of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' was on-hand as another woman in the speed-dating format. We particularly enjoyed her disgust at Neal talking about how he hunts fawns and then takes a phone call during their very short date.

Tiffani Thiessen and Matt Bomer Play 'Shaved By the Bell' on 'Watch What Happens' (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Jul 1st 2011 3:50PM

'White Collar' stars Tiffani Thiessen and Matt Bomer stopped by 'Watch What Happens Live' (weekdays, 11PM on Bravo) Thursday night and played a game of 'Shaved by the Bell' with host Andy Cohen. Pivoting off Thiessen's iconic '90s role as Kelly Kapowski on 'Saved by the Bell,' Cohen showed the pair a series of pictures of '90s stars with their heads shaved and Thiessen and Bomer had to guess who they were.

Despite the fact that everyone looked like Sinead O'Connor, Thiessen and Bomer fared pretty well, nailing Blossom, Screech, Shannon Doherty, Fabio, Alanis Morissette, Kato Kaelin, Vanilla Ice and Pauly Shore. They won a '90s mix CD and Bravo 'Mazel' shirts for playing. For some of the celebs featured in the montage, it was the most screentime they've seen in years.

The Money Flies on the Season Premiere of 'White Collar' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 8th 2011 3:03AM
'White Collar' - 'On Guard'Our own Mo Ryan called 'White Collar' (Tue., 9PM ET on USA) one of the best-directed shows on cable in her early review of this season premiere. Certainly, the argument can be made for the beauty of the "money shot" alone.

The slow build-up to the reveal of the $60 million Neal's old pal knew was still stashed within the air ducts of the Gramercy Fencing Club made the explosion that much more satisfying.

Perhaps redirecting additional flow to only two air ducts so it would blow out the money isn't the cleanest way to retrieve it, but the visual of the bills flying out as the two men looked on was simply stunning.

Reviews: 'White Collar' and 'Covert Affairs' Come Back, But Only One Impresses

by Maureen Ryan, posted Jun 7th 2011 3:15PM
'White Collar' and 'Covert Affairs' both kick off new seasons Tuesday (at 9PM ET and 10PM ET respectively), and though they both abide by certain USA Network formulas, in execution they couldn't be more different.

'White Collar's' return is a sprightly, enjoyable affair -- stylishly shot, well acted and deftly threaded with moral ambiguity -- whereas the spy drama 'Covert Affairs' is surprisingly leaden.

I could go on about what 'White Collar' is doing right these days -- and I will in a bit -- but first, after a year of trying to crack this show's code, I've finally figured out what 'Covert Affairs' is: It's the spy show by and for people who've never seen 'Alias.'
