Seven notable villains of reality television
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 24th 2007 11:05AM
It's no secret that I'm a fan of the reality television genre. I think why I'm enamored with reality television on the whole is because I'm a people-watcher type of person. Sort of like Sylar on Heroes, I like to see what makes people tick. And what better television medium is there to watch them tick, scheme, plan, and more than the reality genre? For me, the villains come in two categories -- the few whose appearances on the shows I've just outright loved because they were thoroughly entertaining even though devious and sneaky, then the ones who irked me to no end and I wanted them to go away.
I don't watch every show out there, but here are my sinister seven of reality television. After all, Spider-Man had his Sinister Six ... I want seven!

(S04E26) Revenge may be a dish best served cold but in the Big Brother house things are rarely given a chance to cool off, or should I say chill since after all this week is all about Chilltown, that darling duo who have managed to skate to the final four based mainly on their devious charms. With two boys and two girls it's either going to be romance versus romance or boys versus girls in this showdown.Big Brother: Veto Ceremony #9

(S04E23) Aw, it's Doogie Howser as Santa Claus. How can I resist an episode where Neil Patrick Harris and Dr. Will interact? You'd expect snark meets snark but Will is more smitten than I've ever seen him during any showmance. But who knew Neil Patrick Harris could do flips on a trampoline? As Will says, "First the trampoline, then Neil Patrick Harris, what's next, I'm going to win the show?" Maybe so, Dr. Botox, maybe so.Big Brother: Elimination #8

(S04E21) Past seasons of Big Brother made a big deal of showing off titillating footage of showmances. Either CBS suddenly has a sense of modesty or the showmances aren't showing a lot this time. For Chilltown, strategy, not love is in the air but each of the boys has their opinion on which girl in "Operation Double Date" should stay on.Big Brother: Veto Ceremony #6

(S04E17) Have you ever watched a horror movie where you see the gorgeous blonde walking through a house with the shadowy killer stalking her ? That's a bit like this episode of Big Brother. Janelle is being stalked on all sides but she is completely clueless. All episode long I just wanted to shout at her to get out of the way of the knives aimed in her direction.TV Squad Hot Topics
