William Sledd
YouTube star gets docusoap on Bravo
Bravo is ordering a pilot based on William Sledd's YouTube video blogs, according to Variety. Sledd, 24, has already hosted a version of his Ask a Gay Man segment on Bravo's OutZoneTV website. His vlog focuses on hair, fashion, and in his popular "Ask a Gay Man" segment he explains the latest in fashion trends and even goes out and about to show "fashion don'ts" on the streets.
Hey Bitches will follow Sledd as he prepares to move from his home state of Kentucky to New York, presumably where he can continue to groom his quickly rising star. The name is a take-off from Sledd's vlog greetings. Now, please don't take this as an open invitation to start vlogging so you can get a TV show. It's a very, very rare occurrence, and you examining your belly button lint collection or squeezing ooze out of your nasty spider bite just isn't going to cut it. I'm sorry.
Ask A Gay Man comes to Bravo's OutZone site
Taking into consideration that "YouTube sensation" often means "someone most of us have never heard of," allow me to tell you that YouTube sensation William Sledd's Web series Ask A Gay Man has been picked up by Bravo and will launch on Bravo's OutZone site this Thursday.
In regards to Bravo's popular Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, I've always said it's nice to have a show that proves you don't have to be heterosexual to be shallow and superficial, and I must say my feelings toward Ask A Gay Man are pretty much the same.
