Craig Ferguson is upset about Willie Nelson's recent arrest for pot. He broke the news to Cedric the Entertainer on 'The Late Late Show' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). "No way! Are [the cops] still doing that? Come on," Cedric said. "That's like arresting Snoop Dogg for smoking weed."

The host said, "I'm not saying whether they should legalize it or not legalize it, but they should make an exception in the case of Snoop and Willie."

But Ferguson pointed out Nelson was an easy target, as Texas law enforcement discovered the marijuana when his tour bus was passing through a border control point. "It's an easy ticket," agreed Cedric. Ferguson joked, "Oh, I wonder if there's any pot on Willie Nelson's tour bus?"

ABC isn't releasing any new footage for the last season of Lost, but they are releasing some promos, including this one, which features Willie Nelson singing "Amazing Grace." It would have been cool if they had used his song "Funny How Time Slips Away."

The new season debuts on February 2.

Ah, the celebrity roast. Comedy Central resurrected the tried and true comedian ass-kiss off with hilarious specials featuring Denis Leary, Flavor Flav, Bob Saget and William #*$&$ing Shatner. Then came the capper: a roast of music legend Willie Nelson. It was a shift in evolution so great, it could have made Charles Darwin buy into the theory of intelligent design.

Then the network caused a global groan so loud that it shifted the tectonic plates when they announced that Nelson had to cancel and they would replace him with Larry the Cable Guy.

It's such an obvious and safe choice that might be a good recipe for ratings, but it's a sure fire recipe for boring. Here are the iconic stars who would have made much better kindling for a white hot comedy roast.

When I first heard that Stephen Colbert was doing a Christmas special, I had my doubts. It didn't seem in character. You don't see Bill O'Reilly and his type doing Christmas specials. However, upon watching the show, I think that's the point. There's also the idea of holiday commercialism and making a buck that the character of Stephen Colbert definitely believes in.

Okay, brass tacks: the special was funny. It was a commercial holiday special that took the piss out of the commercialness of the holiday yet had a heart at its center. This could easily have seemed as corny as the 1970's shows that they were doing a pastiche of, but it came across as cute and fun.

The CMT documentary about the country group the Highwaymen titled American Revolutions: The Highwaymen will be out on DVD on September 26. The group consisted of country music legends Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. Their last recording was made in 1994, and this documentary, shot by producer Don Was, chronicles that time with an inside look at the recording process. The documentary will also be rebroadcast on CMT on September 25 at 10 pm. Normally I never watch CMT, but I have a penchant for old time country music, so I'll probably be checking this one out.

The FBI recently dug around a farm to look for the body of Jimmy Hoffa. Well, finally. We were wondering what happened to him. Jon Stewart managed to throw in a Sopranos reference, suggesting Hoffa is still alive and well in New Hampshire with his volunteer-fireman partner. If the FBI finds Hoffa soon, that means we'll get Osama by 2047... if we're lucky.
