'Chuck' Set Visit: Cast Talks Season 3, Guest Stars, Zach Levi Directing & More - VIDEO
by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 5th 2009 6:00PM
The set of 'Chuck' is almost as much fun as watching the show. One minute, there's a smoke machine going off in a scene -- a sure sign that the danger is about to begin -- and the next, star Zach Levi is on a break, testing out new video games in the comfort of his TV living room. The much-anticipated third season of NBC's cult favorite show is still waiting on a premiere date, but in the meantime, you can catch up with Chuck and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski), as well as guest star Brandon Routh, who is playing Shaw, an expert on this season's nemesis organization, The Ring.
"We have a lot to look forward to -- we've raised the stakes a little bit," teases Yvonne. They've also continued their tradition of bringing in awesome guest stars like Routh, Kristin Kreuk, Angie Harmon, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Armand Assante, two of which will be playing love interests for Chuck and Sarah. We'll give you one guess ...
Get the behind-the-scenes scoop and find out who Casey (Adam Baldwin) will be grunting at this season, what funnyman Yvonne would love to have on the show and why Zach -- who's directing an episode this season -- says 'Chuck' is a lot like 'Cheers.'

(S02E02) "His liver must look like camouflage." - Chuck Bartowski
As amusing as he is, I can't say that I'm excited about Lester becoming a douchebag now that he is assistant manager. Haven't we already seen this on shows like The Office? Of course, everyone still defers to Chuck on anything important, but a complete lack of discipline was what made the Buy More a great place to work, wasn't it?
Did the producers copy my iPod when I wasn't looking? Once again, Huey Lewis is the perfect musical choice.

(S01E02) "No matter how stressed you are, it's never OK to murder a woman's souffle."
If you read my first review or my Early Look post, you know that I love Chuck. I gushed more than a Yellowstone geyser. However, I am going to be very honest about the second episode.
It was a disappointment.
After the hip, sleek, funny, action-packed pilot episode, this episode fell flat. It was kind of boring, nonsensical, and didn't advance the plot in any way shape or form. OK, now I am being a little harsh -- it really wasn't terrible -- but it could have been better.
Zachary Levi of Chuck: The TV Squad Interview - AUDIO
by Varun Lella, posted Sep 24th 2007 2:01PM
So we are doing a little new thing here at TV Squad: the audio interview. It is part interview, part podcast, all fun. Please bear with us (or more specifically me) as we get the format down to something that is both interesting and informative to you, the audience -- kind of like Bill Nye the Science Guy. Only instead of science we have interviews with celebrities ... same difference. It began last week with Joel's interview with Rob McElhenney of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Today I am posting a phone interview I did with Zach Levi of Chuck, which premieres tonight at 8 p.m. EST. If you read my Early Look post, you know that I love this show. Now that I have seen the third episode -- oh, the perks of TV blogging -- my opinions have been confirmed. However, I may have been biased when watching my episodes, because of this interview.
As you will hear, Zach Levi is the nicest guy alive. Very humble and thankful to be in the game. Unlike last week's audio, this is pretty much SFW.
