Matthew Morrison Talks Directing Chewbacca and Jane Lynch on 'Glee' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 2nd 2011 2:30AM
When you think about who might be more difficult to direct between Jane Lynch and Chewbacca -- well, who has to think about such ridiculous things? As Matthew Morrison revealed on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), he did.Morrison recently wrapped directing an episode of 'Glee' in which the cast put on a Christmas special that was an homage in part to the 'Stars Wars' Christmas special that most fans of the film series laugh at and at the same time wish had never happened.
But George Lucas granted them the official Chewbacca for the suit. But it wasn't Chewbacca who stopped Morrison before a critique and said, "Before you say anything, I just want to remind you that I have an Emmy Award and I was just nominated for a People's Choice Award."

by Chris Harnick, posted Dec 1st 2011 1:00PM

Jim Parsons Was Duped into Hugs and Kisses With a Fan (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 1st 2011 3:00AM
One of two things will happen after Jim Parsons' appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC). Either the woman who ran up and abruptly hugged and kissed him as if she knew him will never get away with that particular move on a celebrity again, or this will become a new trend for star-spotters.All you have to do is run up to them, as this woman did, and scream out their name like you're a long lost friend. As Parsons explained, "She comes up and pretends that she knows you and you're too nice to be rude and go, 'Who the hell are you?'"
Oh, we just thought of a third possibility. Celebrities might decide they need to be ruder to strangers just in case it's this woman lying in wait, or someone who wants to emulate her technique.

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 30th 2011 2:30AM
Shaquille O'Neal's girlfriend is very beautiful, but Jimmy Kimmel wasn't wrong when he described a photo of the pair on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC) by saying, "It looks to me as if you're taking your daughter to kindergarten."The stark difference in their side made it even more unbelievable when O'Neal claimed she could pick him up and carry him on her back. So he brought her out on the stage and proved that she could not only pick him up, but she could walk with him.

Regis Philbin and Kimmel Chew Jordana Brewster's 5-Year Old Piece of Gum (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 29th 2011 3:30AM
Five years ago, Jordana Brewster stuck a piece of gum on Jimmy Kimmel's desk, and then Kimmel and Regis Philbin proceeded to chew on it. That was weird enough, but Kimmel upped the ante with Philbin this week on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC).For some reason, the show's producer kept that thrice-chewed wad of gum stuck to a piece of paper. "I dare you to try it again," Philbin said to Kimmel. "Go ahead."
So Kimmel did, marveling that it still had some flavor. He then passed it to Philbin, who chewed it a few times before giving it up. "Boy, that's hard," he said. "I just lost two teeth." Now, someone just needs to get in touch with Brewster to get it back to her and the circle of chewing will be complete.

'Supernanny' Jo Frost on Her TV Replacement: 'I Am Not At All Happy'
by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 28th 2011 5:45AM
A year ago we heard the news that 'Supernanny' Jo Frost had quit her successful ABC television show to get married and have children of her own. Now, just as 'Supernanny' production company Shed Media is about to launch 'America's Supernanny' on Lifetime, Frost's come out swinging and denies that was ever her plan. She says that not only was the story about her starting a family totally invented by Shed Media, but that their new 'Supernanny,' Deborah Tillman, doesn't have the right credentials for the job.
Frost told 'The Daily Mail' that "I decided to leave after season seven, earlier this year. But then they [Shed Media] made up this story that I was running off to get married and have children. I am not at all happy. I feel like I worked really hard to get where I am. I am Supernanny. That's me. I only know that Deborah Tillman is an accountant and a businesswoman. She has never been a nanny."
'Once Upon a Time' Season 1, Episode 5 Recap (VIDEO)
by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 27th 2011 11:00PM
['Once Upon a Time' - 'That Still Small Voice']Though I had an embarrassingly extensive collection of Disney movies as a child (who am I kidding, I still have them), Pinocchio was never among the VHS tapes I wore out beyond repair. Because of this, the idea of an episode centered around Jiminy Cricket didn't exactly leave me hopping with anticipation.
Still, 'Once Upon a Time' already proved that it is adept at subverting expectations in its first four episodes, and 'That Still Small Voice' proved to be an undeniably satisfying hour of television, deepening our understanding of Archie/Jiminy's character and giving us some welcome development in Mary Margaret and David's tragic romance. I don't know about you, but I really could watch a whole hour of those two playing hangman and innocently flirting and need nothing else from the show.
Could J.R. Martinez Save 'All My Children?' Creator Agnes Nixon Speaks Out
by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 24th 2011 7:35AM
There's been an outcry since the news broke yesterday that Prospect Park has suspended its plan to move cancelled soaps 'All My Children' and 'One Life to Live' online. Many of the actors involved have taken to Twitter and Facebook to vent, and the unions involved have issued statements saying don't blame us for the failure. Now the soaps' creator, Agnes Nixon has spoken out, saying there's still plenty more life in the old shows yet. According to 'The Daily Beast' she's even come up with "a compelling plot" starring brand new 'DWTS' champ J.R. Martinez. He played police officer Brot Monroe on the soap for three years until it was cancelled back in April.
The Real Emily Thorne Drops a Bombshell on Jack on 'Revenge' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 24th 2011 5:30AM
The women of 'Revenge' (Wed., 10PM ET on ABC) are finding it harder and harder to control the worlds around them. Victoria is losing the battle against everyone in her family. Her husband managed to sneak Lydia out of the house where Victoria was essentially holding her captive. Daniel has pretty much moved in with Emily, while Charlotte is basically in the process of bilking her mother out of money and still dating Declan. But, those are just mere distractions compared to Emily Thorne's problem, which can be summed up in one name: Emily Thorne. The real Emily Thorne. "Why didn't she leave?" and "What is her end game?" are two very good questions that we don't have the answer for. But she's clearly no longer interested in being Emily's ally in this.
Molly Shannon Elevates Passive Aggressive to an Art on 'The Middle' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 24th 2011 5:00AM
'The Middle' (Wed., 8PM ET on ABC) is absolutely killing it the past couple of weeks with guest stars. Last week it was Norm MacDonald as Mike's slacker brother, and this week it was Molly Shannon as Frankie's passive aggressive sister, Janet. When the Hecks head to Frankie's family's house for Thanksgiving, Janet immediately starts to use that horrible passive aggressive technique that we all hate, and we all know someone who does it. More often than not, it's a relative who masks it with love.
So it was worth it when finally Frankie stood up to her and the two had a sincere fight, airing out the grievances that have been plaguing them most likely for years. Round it out with Marsha Mason and Jerry Van Dyke as the parents, and these are recurring characters we can truly be thankful for.
Rob Riggle Runs Crazy Over Brad and Dave on 'Happy Endings' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 24th 2011 4:00AM
There are people we encounter in our lives who are great in those particular moments. But those are the only types of experiences we have with them, and it might be best to keep it that way, as Dave and Brad discovered the hard way on 'Happy Endings' (Tue., 9:30PM ET on ABC).Short a guy for their pick-up game, they invited Brad's delivery guy Drew (Rob Riggle). He and Brad were totally cool in those brief encounters when Brad signed for a package. But when Drew got out on the court, he really freaked the guys out.
