Gifford and Philbin hosted the show back when it was 'Live With Regis and Kathie Lee,' and the two had a nightclub act together. She said Monday she still sees Philbin and his wife Joy frequently. Hoover thought Hyland might have a soft spot for TV veteran O'Neill. "I do, I do," said Hyland. "Of course I love everyone in our cast and I wish them all the luck. But it has to be, for me, it has to be between Ed and Ty. He's my daddy. I want my daddy."

Bianca Kajlich of 'Rules of Engagement' talks about her topless '30 Minutes or Less' scene on 'Access Hollywood Live'Bianca Kajlich plays a stripper named "Juicy" in the new film '30 Minutes or Less,' a role that's a tad more revealing than Jennifer on 'Rules of Engagement.' But her co-star Danny McBride helped put her at ease when they were filming the topless scene, even though they had to shoot it two different ways, said Kajlich on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC).

"Danny McBride is such a professional," she said of filming her risque scene with the actor. "He's such a fun, great guy and he made it totally comfortable. And it was fun." Billy Bush was a little suspicious of McBride, wondering if the film was an elaborate plot to see Kajlich nude. "Suspiciously, we actually shot it two different ways, so we had to do double the takes," Kajlich said.

Owain Yeoman Points Out the Similarities Between Billy Bush and Simon Baker (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 29th 2011 2:30PM
Simon Baker on the left, Billy Bush on the right. We think. Owain Yeoman felt right at home on the set of 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) Friday, mostly because of Billy Bush's style choices. Bush was wearing dark slacks, a button-down shirt and a vest, which reminded Yeoman of one of his co-stars on 'The Mentalist.'

"I believe I have to also comment on your Simon Baker-esque wardrobe," said Yoeman. "I had noticed that you were channeling a little Patrick Jane." When the photos were shown side-by-side, there did seem to be a resemblance, even past the costume choice. "My goodness me, separated at birth," said Yeoman, calling Bush "Billy Baker."

"There's some hot dudes and hot women in these nominations," he said, setting up a series of photos. "Let's take a look. Not all are hot, but some of them. There's some nasty-looking people." The segment showed images of Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, and Sofia Vergara -- no one nasty looking. He can name those people in person when he hosts the show.

Breckin Meyer Can't Compete With His 'Franklin & Bash' Co-Stars' Giant Heads (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 27th 2011 2:45PM
James Van Der Beek and Mark-Paul Gosselaar on 'Access Hollywood Live'Breckin Meyer's 'Franklin & Bash' co-star Mark-Paul Gosselaar has a big head ... literally. When James Van Der Beek appeared as a guest star on the show, there was barely room on the screen for the diminutive Meyer amidst the vast quantities of noggin. Meyer described the experience Wednesday on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC), appearing together with Gosselaar, who was co-hosting.

Billy Bush set up a clip of a scene that included Meyer, Gosselaar, and Van Der Beek. "The two giant-headed people," said Meyer. "It's awesome. Check it out. It's like watching Easter Island. Check it out." After the clip, Meyer said he had to give his two scene partners nametags to tell them apart. Finding light to stand in was also a challenge. "I'm just saying, it's like Mardi Gras with them," he said. "It's insane."

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 25th 2011 4:40PM
Liam McIntyre of 'Spartacus' on 'Access Hollywood Live'The Starz show 'Spartacus' is filled with heavily muscled warriors wearing very little to hide their physiques. Monday on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC), 'Spartacus' stars Liam McIntyre, Lucy Lawless and Manu Bennett talked about the series, and McIntyre discussed having to bulk up to take over the title role from Andy Whitfield, who was forced to leave the show due to a recurrence of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

"I had to work out non-stop," said McIntyre. Host Kit Hoover asked if she could describe McIntyre as "skinny" when he won the role. "You can say 'skinny' because that's very accurate. I had lost 20 kilos, which in pounds is about, 45 pounds. It was like a fifth of my body weight or something. And then I had to put it back on plus muscle, and that was just non-stop training. And it's not as fun as they make it look in all those late night videos."

Mehcad Brooks Reveals the Secret to His Great Abs on 'Access Hollywood Live' (VIDEO)

Mehcad Brooks and his abs on 'Access Hollywood Live'Mehcad Brooks has the abs to be a Calvin Klein model, 'True Blood' eye candy, and to play a star football player on 'Necessary Roughness,' the new sports drama on USA. Many people admire those abs, and would perhaps like to know how to get a set just like them. However, we wouldn't advise you to follow the method Brooks mentioned Friday on 'Access Hollywood Live.' At least the first method he jokingly mentioned.

While Billy Bush did a feeble Rocky impression, Kit Hoover asked how Brooks got his perfect abs. "Four hundred years of slavery," he said. "I'm kidding! I'm just joking." Actually, Brooks said the routine is simple -- one thousand sit-ups a day.

Amber Riley of 'Glee' on 'Access Hollywood Live'We've already heard that Chris Colfer (Kurt), Lea Michele (Rachel), and Cory Monteith (Finn) are leaving 'Glee' after the third season. But what about Amber Riley, who plays powerhouse singer Mercedes Jones? On 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) Thursday, Riley addressed the future of the cast, rumors of a possible spin-off, and assured Billy Bush she will not be stripping for season three.

Riley said her departing co-stars are fine with the situation, and looking forward to filming season three. She also hinted at her own 'Glee' future. "It's been a roller coaster ride," she said. "It's been absolutely amazing, but, I mean, I don't want to be a 30-year-old high school student, either. And 'Glee' was just a great catapult for us. Nobody knew who we were and we'll always be thankful for it. It's just been an amazing blessing."

Lisa Kudrow talks about 'Web Therapy' on 'Access Hollywood Live'Adapting a Web series for TV comes with its own unique set of advantages and drawbacks. Lisa Kudrow is familiar with the process, having just moved her 'Web Therapy' show from the Internet to Showtime, adapting it from short segments to a 30-minute weekly format. It was surprisingly easy, she said Wednesday on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC).

"We always had some kind of narrative going that, I think when you just watch one Webisode online, you miss that," said Kudrow. "And that's fine, because they were built to stand alone. But when you can put them together in a half-hour form, you can see the narrative more, and it actually works as a half-hour TV show. We were so thrilled."

William Mapother Talks 'Another Earth' on 'Access Hollywood Live' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 18th 2011 3:30PM
William Mapother of 'Lost' talks about 'Another Earth' on 'Access Hollywood Live'William Mapother has a knack for finding strange roles in complicated stories. On 'Lost,' he played Dr. Ethan Rom, one of the Others. His latest role in the indie science fiction film 'Another Earth' may be even stranger than that. Mapother talked about the new film Monday on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC).

In 'Another Earth,' Mapother plays a composer whose family is killed in a car accident. When the woman responsible for the accident gets out of prison years later, he develops a relationship with her. And, oh yeah, a mirror version of planet Earth has appeared on the skyline, complete with its own population.

So how did Mapother wind up signing on for the project? "The script arrived and they said, you know, we've got a first-time director, an actress who's really very new, and there's almost no money," he said. "Would you be interested?" 'Another Earth' was a hit at Sundance, so it looks like his intuition worked out.
