It's Alec Baldwin (Yankees) vs. John Krasinski (Red Sox) in New Era Campaign (VIDEO)
by Joel Keller, posted Apr 8th 2011 5:30PM
In the world of rivalries, you can't get any better than the one between the Yankees and the Red Sox. The fans of each team are so passionate in both the love of their team and the hatred of the other team that it makes the Mac vs. PC rivalry look silly in comparison. The folks at New Era, who manufacture all the caps for Major League Baseball, have taken this rivalry to a new level and hired two of NBC's biggest comedy stars to show that Yanks vs. Sox transcends everything, including Thursday comedy lineup camaraderie.
In the ad -- the first of a series -- Yankee fan Alec Baldwin ('30 Rock') is talking on the phone with Red Sox fanatic John Krasinski ('The Office'), and the trash talking between them is reminiscent of two buddies jawing about the teams over a few beers, with a few clever barbs thrown in for good measure.

'30 Rock' will end after next season.
"I will tell you one thing," he told the reporter. "And that is our show -- next year is our last year of the show."

And that it was Tina Fey who lured him back to the small screen, with a guest spot on '30 Rock'.The movie star Tweeted the news Friday night: "RadioMan delivers msg from T.Fey. Result? I'm on 30 Rock! Thanks, RMan Hanx."

Betty White, 'Modern Family' and 'Boardwalk Empire' Big TV Winners at the SAG Awards
by Joel Keller, posted Jan 30th 2011 10:31PM
The 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held tonight at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. During the evening, SAG honored their own, giving awards to the year's best performances in both television and motion pictures. Our friends at Moviefone will give you the results from the movie side of the ledger. On the TV side, there weren't many surprises. HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire' won two awards: Steve Buscemi for Best Male Actor in a Drama, and the cast for Outstanding Drama Cast. 'Modern Family' won for Outstanding Comedy Cast, while Alec Baldwin of '30 Rock' for Best Male Actor in a Comedy and Julianna Margulies of 'The Good Wife' won for Best Female Actor in a Drama.
The winner for Best Female Actor in a Comedy was a mild surprise, as Betty White took home the statuette for her performance in 'Hot in Cleveland.' It's a surprise given the competition she was up against (Tina Fey, Jane Lynch, Edie Falco and Sofia Vergara), but given the roll White has been on over the last year, it makes sense that the acting community would take the opportunity to honor her again.
The complete list of television winners can be found after the jump.
Alec Baldwin Wants to Serve His Country -- By Running for Office (VIDEO)
by Jeremy Taylor, posted Jan 6th 2011 6:30PM
During an interview with Eliot Spitzer on 'Parker Spitzer' (weekdays, 8PM ET on CNN), Alec Baldwin expressed an interest in running for elected office. When pressed by Spitzer as to why he'd give up acting to become a politician, Baldwin stated it was his desire to serve his country."I can't go to Iraq. I can't go to Colorado Springs to the Air Force Academy and train to be a fighter pilot and drop bombs on Pakistan. If I could I might, if I thought it was the answer. I want to serve my country and the only way at the age of 52 years old I can serve my country now (is to run for office.)"
On behalf of all Americans (and also the people of Pakistan, apparently) we'd like to tell Baldwin he already served his country plenty that time he bravely hunted the Red October.

These fantastic commercials.Alec Baldwin has teamed up with Wegmans for a series of holiday commercials. If you're not lucky enough to have ever been to Wegmans, well, I'm sorry for you. Wegmans has locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and upstate New York. It's like Whole Foods ... but cheaper and better.
Those of you who have never been to a Wegmans can't begin to understand why its customers adore the store. Perhaps a road trip is in order for you? After all, don't you want to go to a supermarket that has salad bars, sushi, famous sandwiches, a full kitchen and in some cases a bar!?
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alec Baldwin 'Fight Back' in Joke About Marrying Each Other (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Nov 2nd 2010 4:50AM
Jesse Tyler Ferguson recently appeared in a promotional video for the Fight Back New York PAC, and he shared the witty political ad on 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). In it, the 'Modern Family' star "revealed" his intention to marry Alec Baldwin. The only thing standing in his way? Laws hindering gay marriage. "He doesn't know it yet, but we are going to get married!" gushes Ferguson in the ad. "With your support of Fight Back New York, he and I can be married here in New York by this time next year." Nevermind that Baldwin isn't gay.
Ferguson has met Baldwin only once. "Now there's a restraining order," he joked to Jay Leno. Far from a restraining order, Baldwin responded with his own Fight Back video.
