House: Cane and Able
by Tom Biro, posted Sep 13th 2006 12:01AM

(S03E02) The previews for the second episode of this season of House created a bit of a stir in my stomach, what, with a potential alien abduction or something along those lines happening to a patient and all. In reality, did we really think that the creators of this show would *ever* go all X-Files on us, though? Hope not.
Much as last week ended with the dilemma of Gregory House snagging a prescription from Wilson's office to "treat the pain," we open with the good doctor about to take a jog, iPod Shuffle and all, and are quickly greeted by the pitter patter of his footsteps, back at the door, just seconds later. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when his leg pains him, leaving him no choice but to investigate the closet where he happens to have some Vicodin in a jacket pocket. And yes, that was indeed a glimpse of the cane that he's left behind since his surgery and treatment. Some part of me was frustrated by the writers in this episode, as the unethical behavior by Cuddy and Wilson (why should this shock me with how House acts half the time) combined with the oddity of the story seemed a bit far fetched, even for a show where medical miracles come along just about every week. By the end of the show, the pit in my stomach was somewhat cleared up, but that doesn't mean that this was stellar by any means.
Eureka: Alienated
by Will O'Brien, posted Aug 9th 2006 7:32AM

(S01E04) Eureka has seen fit to provide their sheriff with the coolest gun rack known to man. Not only is it loaded with some fat jack, it'll probably squash anyone standing under it. You know how guys hate not having the remote? Well Jo won't give carter the remote to the uber gun rack. He's only scored 53% on his third attempt to pass the weapons test. Ouch.
Spencer's having movie night and he's invited Taggart, Fargo and Vincent. This is Eureka, so he's pulling the latest alien invasion flick down by hacking a satellite. The neighbors complain, so Jack sends Jo (a little revenge for the remote issue) over to check it out. She sticks around and catches the show. Once everyone takes off, we fade out just as Spencer's getting what looks like a classic alien light show.
NBC to show 4400 special this Saturday
by Bob Sassone, posted May 31st 2006 7:49PM
There's usually nothing on Saturday nights but repeats of crime dramas and maybe some movie everyone has seen (and Cops), but NBC has something for all you fans of The 4400 that have been waiting for the new season to start. NBC (which owns USA) will have a one hour clip show to get fans (and non-fans) up to speed on the plot and the characters. The special will air at 9pm.The third season of The 4400 starts on June 11. I haven't seen even one episode of this show, so maybe I'll tune in and see how it is.
