Sigourney Weaver on "Keeping a Hedgehog" in Her Private Parts (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Sep 28th 2010 6:37AM
Let's start off with the good news. Actress Sigourney Weaver had her first film role in Woody Allen's 'Annie Hall' -- which won the Best Picture Academy Award, and which is one of the most famous movies of the 1970s. That's the good news. The bad news is that Sigourney only had a cameo in that movie: in fact, she didn't even get to utter a single line of dialogue. Which is kind of lame, considering that she went on to be such a famous actress. On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), Weaver explained how she got such a lousy debut movie part. It seems that Woody Allen wanted to give her a much bigger role in 'Annie Hall.' Unfortunately, Sigourney was busy starring in an "off-off-Broadway" play that her friend had written. And what was her part in this play, you might ask? Well, get ready for things to get weird. Weaver had the part of "a little girl" who "kept a hedgehog in her ... vagina." Great.
What the heck is this?

This is the game where we show you a picture from something TV-related and you have to guess what the heck it is.
This pic is from a classic TV series. I know, it looks like something you might have eaten a few hours ago, but it's a lot more dangerous than that. Bonus points if you can give the title of the episode! Answer later tonight.
Sigourney Weaver talks Emmy buzz, Ghostbusters and Aliens

Sigourney Weaver starring in a Lifetime movie? It happened. It's called Prayers for Bobby, and the three-time Oscar nominee is racking up the Emmy buzz for her lead performance as a mother whose life is changed by tragedy.I spoke with Weaver recently about the film, the Emmy buzz, her next big TV project and more. Here's a preview of that interview:
Weaver on the benefits of working for Lifetime, and other cable networks:
"I think Lifetime, along with other cable networks, show very compelling stories about what it is to be human in a way that a lot of films don't now, except for small independent films. They're interested in a smaller canvas and I think those stories are very helpful for people and I think that they bring us together."
Stargate Atlantis: Vengeance

(S03E19) This is more of what I have been waiting for as the season winds down for the Atlantis team. Here is an arc with a good enemy that builds nicely on the overall Atlantis story. I love the decision to bring back Michael. That's partly just because I like Connor Trinneer (Enterprise), but mostly because the story of Michael, and what the Atlantis team did to him, is very interesting.
Simpsons take aim at Iraq war in new Treehouse of Horror
by Adam Finley, posted Oct 21st 2006 11:02AM
You knew they'd have to get around to it sooner or later. The final segment of the upcoming Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" episode on November 5 will take a few not-so-subtle shots at the current conflict in Iraq as aliens Kang and Kodos (who are featured in every "Treehouse of Horror") attack Springfield before the humans can get their hands on "weapons of mass disintegration". The connection to the Iraq war is made obvious, and there's even a line at the end in which a character evokes the actual Iraq debacle. Executive producer Al Jean says the line may be too obvious and not make it into the episode. It'll be interesting to see how the show handles the segment, though I wonder why they didn't try to tackle this subject as a full "regular" episode, which I think they could have done fairly easily. Then again, they may still have plenty of time to do just that. Can a video game make Star Trek cool again?
by Anna Johns, posted Aug 14th 2006 9:39AM
William Shatner has faith that a new video game will give Star Trek a higher profile, after it has apparently fallen off the American radar. The game is called Star Trek: Legacy and, of course, he's voicing Capt. Kirk's character. The game will span all five of the franchise's television series, allowing players to fly 60 different space ships and encounter all sorts of aliens, including battling the Klingons and The Borg. Shatner hopes the game will hold over fans until 2008, when the next movie is due out.Star Trek: Legacy comes out in October.
John Lithgow returning to NBC
by Anna Johns, posted Mar 9th 2006 9:46AM
I
love everything John Lithgow does. He made a great woman in The World According to Garp, a terrifying villain
in Raising Cain, and a perfectly goofy alien in 3rd Rock From the Sun. He even made a children's
album a few years ago that ended up being a big hit with my niece. He seems like the kind of guy who is always trying
to challenge himself creatively and I respect that. Plus, he kind-of dances to the beat of his own drum. So, I'm happy to announce that he's returning to primetime television as one of two stars in the NBC comedy, Twenty Good Years. It's about two aging men who have epiphanies and set out to live their final two decades to their fullest. Kinda sounds like My Name is Earl. No idea who the other lead is.
Is anybody else out there a John Lithgow fan?
