Revisiting 'American Idol' Season 10's Most Unforgettable Auditions ...Through the Magic of Animated GIFs!
What other reason is there to sit through four weeks of musical chafing from those in denial of their own tone-deafness? But in case you decided to sit out this year's "tour du failure," or just want to relive the most painful moments (seriously, that poor camera guy is now conditioned to clutch his stomach everytime he hears the words "American Idol"), we give you the best of the worst, via the mezmorizing, loopy magic of animated GIFs!
Couples Torn Apart! 'American Idol' Splits Nick Fink and Jacqueline Dunford! (VIDEO)
On the heels of the unrequited love story of Rob Bolin and Chelsea Oaks, we have couple, Nick Fink and Jacqueline Dunford. They are quite possibly the worst looking, inseparable duo ever seen during 'Idol' auditions. And there's nothing like a national televised competition to show the weak links in a relationship.
In Nick's feeble attempt to stay on the show, he irks the judges and pretty much embarrasses his girlfriend. Talk about emasculation! Watch the clip and judge for yourself!
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
'American Idol's' Hollywood Couples Retreat (VIDEO)
It's one thing to break up with you boyfriend or girlfriend. It's a whole other to put your relationship on national television within the context of the intense competition of 'American Idol.'
Rob Bolin and Chelsee Oaks' story is the producers feeble attempt at turning 'American Idol' into 'The Young and the Restless.'
If the singing ain't gonna keep the audiences, maybe the awkward storyline of Rob's unrequited love for his former flame Chelsee might.
Either way, this couple is seriously talented. It might be interesting to see if they end up as the final two on the 'Idol' stage. What do you think?
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
Chris Medina Continues to Make Good For His Girl (VIDEO)
To be a triple threat during 'American Idol' auditions you need three things: crazy hair, a sob story and unbelievable singing chops.Chris Medina is exactly that triple threat, with a heartbreaking story to make both previously mentioned Paris and James' struggles look like fairy tale endings. Not surprisingly, this early 'Idol' favorite made it through the first round to continue through the Hollywood auditions
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
'American Idol's' Real Jersey Girl: Tiffany Rios (VIDEO)
Jennifer Lopez may have starred in the career killing 'Jersey Girl,' but it is starting to feel like J.Lo might have the last laugh when the judges eventually cut 'American Idol's' real Jersey girl Tiffany Rios.Having come to her original audition with stars in her eyes - and on her boobs, Tiffany left her shame at the door again and came to her Hollywood audition with very little humility and lots to be humiliated about.
Tiffany's audition may have furthered her way through to the second round in Hollywood, but she also started the ticking timebomb, tied to her shot as an 'American Idol.'
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
'American Idol' Hollywood's One Trick Ponies (VIDEO)
If something worked for you to receive a golden ticket to Hollywood, why mess with it?
Scott McCreery, Jackie Wilson and Jerome Bell decided to err on the safe side during their first crack at Hollywood.
Considering how many people sang different songs and found their way back to the airport on the first flights back to their hometowns -- this might have been a sound decision.
Listen for yourself!
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
Victoria Huggins Faces the Harsh Reality of Hollywood (VIDEO)
When Victoria Huggins packed for Hollywood, she took with her what looked like every piece of luggage available in a five mile radius and was escorted by the kind of entourage that would make 50 Cent look frugal. It was obvious that Victoria was planning to stay for a while -- or move in. Sheesh!
However, Hollywood is known as a dream killing kind of town and Victoria became a statistic tonight during her 'Idol' audition as she was cut from her chance at stardom.
But according to Victoria, she's still North Carolina's star.
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
'American Idol's' Brett Loewenstern Silences the Haters! (VIDEO)
It never fails. Every season, 'American Idol' producers have this insatiable need to include contestants with really crazy hair. It seems the crazier the hair, the better shot you have at ending up on the 'Idol' stage.
On that note alone, Brett Loewenstern has it made. He had the difficult job of being the first auditioner in Hollywood, but he killed it and hopes to take down all his haters, too.
Watch the video for yourself!

'American Idol' Hollywood Round, Part 1 Recap
Double the contestants! Double the drama!Welcome to Hollywood, kids, where lyrics are forgotten, tears are shed and dreams are crushed!
Actually, tonight's first dip in the deadly Hollywood waters wasn't all that shocking. As expected, the judges cut some of the lesser talent while keeping most of the early favorites on board for next week.
Boca Raton's Brett Loewenstern was the first of the front-runners to pass muster with J.Lo, Steven and Randy. Brett's personal story revolved around the constant bullying he suffered in high school, thus his choice of The Beatles' 'Let It Be' was touching. Seriously, stop beating this kid up.
Justin Bieber, Be Warned! 'The Youngin's' Take Hollywood on 'Idol' (VIDEO)
When 'American Idol' lowered the audition age to 15, the producers aimed to bring some youngin's that would make Justin Bieber look like old news.
They found exactly that with Hollie Cavanagh, Robbie Rosen and Jacee Badeaux.
Hollie Cavanagh brought her B-game to her initial audition and a wicked case of hives, but came on strong to make it through to the second round of Hollywood auditions.
Robbie Rosen was also impressive but Jacee Badeaux just might be the second coming of Justin Bieber!
Check out the future of the 'Idol' stage now!
'American Idol' airs Wendesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on FOX.
Something Pitchy: 'American Idol' Saves Best for Last With San Francisco Auditions
Leave it to those crafty producers to leave one of the best audition episodes of the season 'till the very end. San Francisco was bursting with potential finalists, including automobile accident survivor Stefano Langone, Colombian refugee Julie Zorrilla and Asperger's/Tourette sufferer James Durbin. OK, so maybe this line-up sounds more like an episode of 'Dateline' than 'American Idol,' but all three of these contestants backed-up their sob stories with solid performances. Myself, Rickey Yaneza of Rickey.org and MJ Santilli of MJ's Big Blog reflect on all San Francisco had to offer (including the Autobot!) in this episode of 'Something Pitchy.'
Julie Zorrilla Wows 'American Idol' Judges With 'Summertime' Performance and Personal Struggle (VIDEO)
'Summertime' came early on Wednesday night's 'American Idol,' thanks to Colorado-via-Colombia's Julie Zorrilla. The 20-year-old auditioned on her birthday, but it was the judges who received a present in Zorilla's "very stylized" version of the Sam Cooke hit.A raven-haired beauty with charisma and charm, Zorrilla calls to mind Lea Michele. And her pipes might just back up the comparison, as we head into Hollywood.
Will Comeback Kid Stefano Langone Be the Next 'American Idol'? (VIDEO)
Stefano Langone had a long road before he landed on the San Francisco audition stage. In 2009, he was in a terrible automobile accident that left him for dead. He was told he would never be the same, yet managed to defy all odds by walking again -- just four months later.Langone's version of 'Heard It Through the Grapevine' had the judges buzzing that he'd be one to watch in Hollywood.
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on Fox.
Is 'American Idol's' James Durbin the Second Coming of Adam Lambert? (VIDEO)
Thank God this is the last series of auditions.
Most every episode has tried to save the proverbial "best for last."
James Durbin is a guy who grew up with a lot of hardship. The son of a rocker who died of a drug overdose, he was also diagnosed with both Tourettes and Asperger's Syndrome. He's a new dad living with his girlfriend and young son, but is currently unemployed.
It doesn't seem to worry his girlfriend, Heidi, who loves to put supportive stickies all over their home.
And anyone who has had the cajones to sing an Aerosmith song has bought themselves an EZ-Pass to Hollywood. When James gets on stage and opens his pipes, he says he forgets all his troubles ... and the judges and producers don't want you to forget him.
In fact, the producers would remind you that San Francisco is where they met Adam Lambert -- but it's very easy to make early and quick comparisons between both performers. What do you think?
'American Idol' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8PM ET on Fox.
'American Idol' Transformer Drew Beaumier Is More Than Meets the Eye! (VIDEO)
In all of 'American Idol's' history, Drew Beaumier had hands down the best audition I have ever seen.
Sure we've seen some really strange auditions this year and in previous seasons, but when this 20- year-old drove into his audition as a HUMAN TRANSFORMER, all bets were off.
Built from scratch out of an actual "Power Wheels," Drew turns into a car and breaks into song:
"GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNING!"
I'm going to call Steven Tyler's bluff: Although he tried to play it like he didn't dig this guy, if you watch the clip again -- it seems he was tickled, in spite of himself.
